I think this is very close to correct balance for a MS game
Have a look at the mod pt for the full setup (SS is almost certainly an evil genius). Idk if I was scum in this situation I think I would've riddled Maria with bullets asap and claimed the n4 info

That's valid criticism. I'm surprised Maria wasn't shot regardless of claims. A scumflip in a 3p hood when there's only one hood in the game should give two very firm softclears regardless of the informed info, so I don't think them being hardcleared via informed was particularly meaningful to balance.

Outside of that the 2-shot gated investigative shot incredibly true.

It was a very tricky situation for scum, but I'm inclined to say it's equally attributable to the setup and how well town played.

Maybe

I can imagine the setup having bad gamefeel for scum; being all non-vanilla they are given no reason to think they should test the vanilla cop claim n1 only to the learn it generates full innos the next day. I can kinda see why scum play fell apart day 2. I do think the setup is probably balanced from a math pov, but likely demoralizing for scum.
That's fair. I do like the fact scum (conditional on massclaim/correctly informed-hunting) have the ability to manipulate how many informed goodies the town get. :) I think Garmr being the last scum standing on d3 was about as bad as it could possibly be, though. (unless like... Nk15 had been lynched day 1...)

The n2 informed of "only one scum in da hood" was also like the ultimate "no shit sherlock" (ayy) and had gamma not played a very sound towngame I wouldn't be surprised if it were more heavily criticised.

That was pretty cool. I hope they don't mind me saying so early but scum did informed-hunt you correctly quite quickly.

Oh god yeah I didn't say this properly: for someone with such a strong reputation for scumplay > townplay (and someone who tends to bring it later in the game as either alignment), I was kinda bowled over by how damn good Pine was this game. That d1 solve was amazing.

I think the main counter there would be have been to shift your informed status to non-modified (/n0). The point about neighbours is true; but as far as I'm concerned after an LUV flip without the informed info I still probably wouldn't touch Pine/Dunn until lylo by virtue of the soft-clear.

From a design perspective, it takes an interesting game to include two scum in a neighbourhood. I don't think this anything about the design makes me want to consider a second scum in the hood. Pine was super towny. Dunn felt towny. At a design level it's technically +ev to town but in this game it was basically dead info.
