The bef vote was during rvs so no need to question that and I was basically asking him why vote morality with that post.

I don’t think expressing that you think someone is scum is the same as asking. What would you have done if he had just simply ignored your case on him?

Honestly I don’t even really care about Day 1 beyond not lynching a potentially strong town player because I find that scum win rates go up when you lynch scum Day 1 - and some players just shouldn't get near LYLO.

So sometimes I just try to make sure no good town players get lynched and push for a lynch on whoever is the most obstructionist or useless, which often enough hits scum anyway because that’s what scum do.

I understand that a majority of you will have a fit about this and construe this as me not caring - it's empirically true though. Day 1 is meaningless and the most important thing is that people interact and you don't lynch some good townie.

The first point is valid but I buy the sincerity of his thoughts. Vex’s case may have been illogical but I just got the feeling that he believed what he what was saying when he was explaining why he pushed Salad.

Morality is the 2nd lynch option today because it to me a morality's play is NAI because it just is and lynching there wouldn't give us any info, regardless of alignment.

By 2nd lynch option, I mean more like a Plan B if we can't get another wagon going. So I have no interest in lynching there.

This is what I don't really understand about you. You always bring Morality up as the alternative to tris and asks her in #125 what would make her more town than Morality. And now you say Morality's play so far was nai and it would be a lynch with no useful information (disagree, he is the most active player here and is dominating the thread in either way, there are enough associations imo). So aren't you scumreading Morality to begin with? Then why is no one else the Plan B? Or are you simply seeing him as compromise lynch because he is the wagon with the most votes atm?

I dunno. You should know better as he was scum with you the last game. As for me, I have given up on trying to read him in any given game. that's why I didn't push him in that game.

I strongly believe engagement is the best way to read me though. I enjoy playing scum so if I’m able to maintain a pro-town appearance or stay under the radar for very long, it should ping you. I can understand that can be frustrating but it’s just the way it as at this point.

As town I often get wagoned because I simply do not care enough unless I really like the player list or the setup. As scum? I never get wagoned because I know how to not get lynched. I do a very good job of building connections, organizing votes, and keeping myself in a position of balance.

If it helps, I’ve been told I force content as scum, and don't as town. The content I force as scum usually has no meat to it at all. It's obvious I’m not looking to sort anybody or get reads. Might be the case for Black Versus White Mafia?

You say you don't want to lynch a string TOWN player on D1, which is fair. Then you say scum win rates go up when we lynch SCUM D1?? SO you want to lynch a townie who's play is weak?? Am I reading this correct?

It’s infuriating when people play Day 1 like we should have some big logical cases and brainstorm for 2 weeks - which just kills the momentum of the game because theres no actual good info to use yet. No one has flipped, no night actions have been taken, etc. Day 2 is the best day in the game for town and its not useful to drag out the game on a pointless day and sap energy from a very useful one

This among other reasons makes the Day 1 lynch nothing more than damage control. Perfect win is nice but implausible, so really just agonizing over shit simply makes the game unbearable.

I can try to muster up a reads list in a bit but I’m not sure much has changed for me.

We still have the same fear and policy reasons that have been expressed Day 1 for a Pretentious lynch.

We found Skitter dead and people tried to make more out of that than need be. I think revisiting who was attempting to push a narrative with that conversation might find us scum.

What made you pick a50? Saladman was in your original PoE places to start and a50 was one of the first people cut from it, what changed?

I haven’t liked any of what he’s posted today. It has completely eroded the town read I had on his predecessor.

I can understand the enthusiasm for the potential of their being a vigilante. Having more of the flips in the game decided by town rather than scum is always good thing. I can’t see town being desperate enough to flip Skitter there at all though.

How many of you as scum have actually went through with faking an accidental hammer? This is really the only argument that could support a vigilante shooting Skitter. It doesn’t hold water when you consider that Skitter is one of the best scum players on the site, tris was being scum read by a majority of the room, and she didn’t show any signs of being able to potentially sway players from voting her. I don’t think she was a lynch that scum felt they desperately needed, especially without a claim.

The hammer was anti-town but Skitter’s overall play wasn’t and she’s not known for being an anti-town player. So an attempt to deny the mafia one kill by redirecting it away from a pro-town player toward an anti-town player is out.

An attempt to give town an extra kill against a player they would want to kill anyway I feel can be ruled out too. There was still several other players in the game that were arguably more scummy than her post hammer.

I don’t like his recent Pretentious vote. He justifies it by saying the game needs to be spiced up. How is that going to happen when Pretentious has been a major wagon all game and regardless of his alignment, has made it extremely difficult to tie anyone too him?
