maybe i'm being uncharitable, but I'm seeing an ISO that is heavy on playful interactions and light on analysis. Why did you not like the Vax post in particular that you quoted?

I mean yeah, I've been heavily shitposting, but more recently there's a townread on Mod, a townread on prism, and I'm working my way towards townreads on several others. I don't find Vax's progression on elements believable or natural; it feels like he's just cottoning onto something (namely, elements' readslist) for the sake of formulating a scumread. Early readslists are not a scumtell. Vax's 193 hardened that feeling because he's now doubling down on elements scum because elements is not hard defending a gut reads list he made on page 6.

Saying stay out of Syr/ffery's interactions is a bit different than sorting via ffery-Cabd interactions, but it's weird to not want to see more Cabd-ffery interactions with yourself added as a bonus.

This one seems a lot more plausible than the first I quoted. I get that you're saying Cabd is trying to run interference on two towns finding each other by jumping in with something like this vote.

I'm just confused as to what ffery/Cabd interactions you're actually looking forward to reading since the attempts Cabd has made to engage have been met with hostility.

Smoke Filled Antechamber by FakeGod is an excellent metric to see the kind of ffery/Cabd interactions I'm talking about. Day 1, ISO the two of them. Granted, that game was a bit of an outlier due to all the wild crumbing and the dethy and whatever else, but it's still a good example of how ffery and Cabd tend to mindmeld when they're both town together. Here, I'm in the middle of talking to ffery and Cabd hops in with his cheery little "ffery syr's shitposting too much he must be scum" deal, which doesn't really do anything other than muddy the waters/potentially stoke fferynoia on me. In retrospect he was probably reaction testing me but at the time I'm like oi me n fairylit are sorting each uvver fuck off. Which he thankfully did. However, it did plant the squinty eyed seed that eventually bloomed into my vote on him when he voted ffery later. Your interpretation seems to ignore the context in which Cabd was injecting himself. If he wanted to have a little powwow I'm more than happy, but that's not really what it looked like he was doing at the time.

Part of this is I don't exactly have the world's best track record anyways when it comes to reading Cabd. Recently I've just townread ffery and sort of outsourced the read to her but in this game I find myself in the unusual position of not really townreading either of them and it fucking sucks. It seems like most of the reads I have are fairly controversial so I dunno if I'm just wrong or stupid or what.

What did you think of the earlier comments about ben being more effortful as scum compared to low effort town?

Regarding prism, they've had a few moments where they've said similar things that I've thought. I disagree with the wall placement of most of the co-hort from prism, but the individual stances were lining up well. I also view prism/bork as TvT, with Prism not only actively trying to disengage it but also trying to see Bork's PoV. Bork isn't reciprocating. I'm townreading bork for separate reasons.

I saw that but just because he was effortful scum in one game doesn't mean he can't be effortless scum in this one, particularly, as dgb said, since we don't know what the partner dynamic was like in that game. I also disagree with Cabd's assessment of that one post (I can find it later if I can be bothered) in that I don't agree that the fatalism looks particularly town, along with the fact I don't think anyone with a join date of 2007 genuinely believes their content will be looked at or taken seriously later, especially in a state where they haven't really pushed that much for whatever their reads were (I don't remember and don't care).

I've got it stuck in my head about prism that they don't really believe half the stuff they say. Like when skitter pointed me to that whack ass trajectory they had on bork it really resonated with me and that plus the disengagement just reads to me as "I can't win this fight" more so than "I'm town and this isn't productive". Bork's not really trying to de-escalate but weirdly I'm assigning townpoints to him for it because a) I don't think scum him pushes that 1v1 and b) I also think bork's dogged persistence is town indicative for him because he sees something that doesn't make sense to him and will pursue it until he either gets a satisfactory answer or yeets the offender in question. I don't have a lot of town experience with bork recently but the behavior rings some old dusty ass bells in my head.

Re: Vax I think there are some things in his ISO that don't add up with this, there was even a post by him somewhere that he said this was one of his more confident games, and he's played in enough games he definitely doesn't qualify as newb-anything IMO. I also recently watched Death Scroll and pretty quickly townread him there, so he's lower in my estimations than yours. I'm not scumreading him per se but he's not playing the same game he was in Death Scroll.

Their progression on bork is kinda mystifying - look at how they go from 961 to 970. Dont like their reaction to bork's wallpost at the top of that page. Dont like how they characterized my interaction with pizza in 957, and how they ignored me pointing that out

okay, but why would that make you believe this is not her scumgame? i have no picture in my mind of what it would be like, but by reputation it's good. i would expect her play to look similar. that seems like a very lax read. (i fucking hated when people would read me off reputation but it's better to err on the side of caution)
