Does anyone else have the feeling that our cops/docs are marked for death? No way to hide means we'll lose them about as fast as we have nights.

I'm not sure I understand this setup, seems like we've got the short end of the stick. The town has a backup cop (and used to have a backup doc), but it also has two players with voting restrictions and one maybe-but-not-probably-useful lynch blocker.

And, c'mon, we've got a butcher and baker but no candlestick maker?

(I'm travelling a bit until Jan 3rd. I don't need a replacement, just wanted to mention I won't be able to post quite every single day.)
Upon further reflection, the only reason I can think of to use it is with an rare accidental lynch, and that's not gonna happen.
And the no-posting-in-twilight rule means you can't use it then, anyways.

Because the scum know who are and aren't innocent already anyways.

They already have plenty of targets to pick from the pro-town roles. Yes, confirming an innocent would give them one more, but the town is already in the hole -- this is a game where the uninformed majority (town) has to beat the informed minority (scum). Keeping more information secret in a open setup like this only hurts the town more.

vote: Meme
for weird decisions and jumping on lazarusmoth.

I remain unconvinced, partially because this is title Open Role Mafia and I don't see any reason that the mod would start with that premise just to throw it away immediately.

I agree that we probably have one scum in the non-vanilla-townie roles and the rest in the vanilla townies. Maybe a smaller mafia, I dunno. I'd like to think the town has something balancing our lack of secrecy.

Stewie: the premise I was talking about in 52 is that it's "Open Role Mafia". Sorry, thought that was clear from the way I worded things.

I'm back from travelling and hopefully done for a while, ugh.

I'm still happy with my vote on MeMe., though I'm going to be quiet until I can get a reread in.

Xanth -- good eye on the death scene. I agree that we probably have an SK and mafia.

I don't know that mlaker is scum, but it does seem like he's just not paying attention at all. Which, hmm, could be an indication of scumminess -- it doesn't really matter what happens during the day to scum unless one of their own is targetted. Whereas for town it's all that matters. E'll take a shot and join the bandwagon.

unvote: MeMe

vote: mlaker

And I'll point out that he's one vote away from lynch.

Hrm. I still like lynching mathcam/mlaker. It's hunchish, of course, because it's Day 1 and there's little else to go on. So I'm leaving my vote where it is.

Hey, all. I'm sorry I haven't posted. Late Sunday night I took a friend to the hospital and I was there until this morning because he needed surgery and his family is way out of town. Has been a crazy couple days, and I forgot to get someone to post that I'm away. I'll be normally active now.

To answer Mathcam's question from the previous page -- I'm voting him because I got a bad feeling both about mlaker and about him. I'm willing to ride it for Day 1 and see what we can get.

I'll respond to some other stuff since my last post when I get a few more minutes, I've only just skimmed it and I've some other pressing stuff at the moment.
