It sucks being in a different time zone.
Is it really a scum advantage at this stage? Surely we're just RVSing for the moment, with a scattering of light justification?StrangerCoug wrote:
This comes off to me as policy-lynching dramonic for claiming miller. Do youOphanim wrote:Vote: dramonic
We do not feel that millers should be left alive to later cause distraction.REALLYwant to give scum an advantage by going after such an easy target so early?
Unvote: dramonic
He didn't say that. He was merely stating he had one. Your logic sucks. Try harder.Ophanim wrote:So because it's in a bastard-mod game it should be in a normal game?

I'd call that early.Sidekick wrote:4 am way too late to try to be doing the thinking things. What the funk are you doing up at four in the morning?
1. Choice of wording, mah boi. Maybe, could, possibly? You're covering your arse in case someone decides to say that it is too early and that you are overreacting. Which you are. So let's take out that bit...Chevre wrote:Maybe a little overreactive/early for this, but this could possibly be a further link between a possible SC/dramonic scumduo.
2. So, attacking someone means a scum buddy? In fact, I'd hardly call that attacking, merely making a point, from the looks of it. Plus, further link implies you think that this post is the first sign;Chevre wrote:This is a further link between a possible SC/dramonic scumduo.
based on the last 5 words. However, I have a different theory. Normal games are normal. SC is making the assumption that there is a cop, even though you can't be sure. However, by using the word "the" in his post implies there is one. So, therefore, I propose this. Due to the fact that by the wording of his post, he knows there's a cop...SC wrote:Well, the cop knows who not to investigate xD That's not a free pass, however—in fact, it's an easy scum claim, so be extra careful, dramonic.
SC is the cop.
Anyone have any problems with that theory?-

Hey. Sorry about the whole "SC is a cop" thing. I realise now that it wouldn't really have stimulated discussion, even though it did, in some respects. I also know now that exposing power roles at this stage is a bad idea.
People have asked be to defend why I even brought that up. Truth is, there's very little to defend against. I made a mistake.-

Just to clear things up, I've played one game, and halfway or so through a second; both on the Road to Rome.
I'm accepting Chevre's explanation. I heard somewhere that overuse of words like "could", "possibly", "perhaps" and the like can be a scumtell; indeciciveness as to appear protown.Dizzle wrote:I'd also like to hear his response to Chevre's defense of indefinite words.-

Reading between the lines says "they might not".
So, you're telling us that you pretended to overreact as to promote discussion? Or did you actually overreact, and trying to think of an excuse?Ophanim wrote:

An overreaction like that so early in the game seems scummy to me. Not sure what to make of his disappearance though.
That's a matter of your own opinion. I agree, itOphanim wrote:
You're using the RVS (which should not exist) as a crutch (which is bad) to support an attack on someone for no good reason (which is worse).DC wrote:Is it really a scum advantage at this stage? And it also seems that you're mistaking a RVS for what it really is; Not attacking, but rather more an attempt to draw information from nothing. Is that not correct? Thus, I'm using RVS as an excuse to... random vote.

Who said the cat was definitively out of the bag?xvart wrote:SC - what is there to be careful about? The cat is already out of the bag and nothing can change that. Be careful about being investigated anyway? Be careful about all the heat that is going to come?
Paraphrase; "I don't care, I'm gonna kill him anyway." How accurate is this statement, Ophanim? Seems awfully one-track minded, wouldn't you say?Ophanim wrote:

Unsuprisingly. The reason being to give a reason.Ophanim wrote:

And how would I? I ignored it; how would I have been on your case if you had?Oph wrote:
I'm telling you that I reacted to nothing as nothing is all there was. I would also argue that I didn't overreact - I solely responded to points against me as anyone would. No, I mean rolling with the punches. Do IDC wrote:Following the rest of the flock, you mean?looklike a flock-follower to you?[/quote]
Just late to the party.
Was that how long you lasted, or how long it actually went on for?Oph wrote:My first newbie game was 5 pages long.
Right, I'll give you a claim. In fact, why haven't you asked for it yet, considering you're the one that put me at L-1?Oph wrote:In fact, I would ask a claim of DC for as long as he is at -1.
I claim Town Roleblocker.
The real reason why I wondered about SC's role was because I didn't want to block a potential doc.-
