Update: Corsato has confirmed. I've started a "replacement needed" thread for Soothsayer, and the game will begin the instant a replacement is found, it confirms its role and sends its target, if applicable.

Dawn breaks. You all get out of your beds, and go mingle in the lobby. Ready to pass the long day in a game of mafia, you suddenly notice you're left without a moderator. Checking in his bedroom shows that someone pinned mith to his bed with a very long sword.
"Only Soothsayer could've done this" a voice is heard in the crowd, "he hates mith"
"What a shame I'm not Soothsayer!" calls Soothsayer, and takes off his rubber mask, to reveal Mentat's face. "Sorry guys, couldn't get invited any other way" he shrugs. So with mith dead and Soothsayer turning out to be Mentat, you decide it's time to find the killer. 9 of you are alive, and any 5 could overpower the rest and do what they feel like. So what'll it be?

...and the decision is a cast. A mob of 5 people grabs Pudd'nhead Wilson, and before he has time to protest much, throws him out of the window. Everybody watch curiously, but his body doesn't transform into anything ghastly upon hitting the barren rock beneath. A search of his room reveals nothing out of the ordinary, and the conclusion that's left is that he was nothing but a townie.
It is night, send choices.

Sketchwick is tossing and turning in his bed, following the unsuccessful lynch. "Luke, I am your father" someone says. "Wrong game, I'm just a townie this time around" says Sketchick. "Oh, so you can't defend yourself against THIS, then" says the intruder, and slices him in half with a light saber.
Sketchwick, townie, was brutally sliced in half.
It is day, 4 to lynch.

With the required votes, everyone gather around Mentat. "Hey, I didn't do it! I don't even know HOW to operate a light saber. I've never seen Star Wars!" he calls. "Well, we don't know about the wars, but maybe we can arrange some stars" say the rest, and hit him on the head repeatedly with a blunt instrument. There was nothing interesting much on his body. In his room, however, you find a certificate of innocene -- he really was a townie.
Night falls. Send me your targets, if applicable.

Roadbird is tossing and turning in bed. "Mip mip" he mumbles out of sleep. "Don't worry, little birdie... your running days are over". "Mip?" mumbles Roadbird, and that's the last is heard of him, as he is quickly digested by the unseen attacker. A search of his room reveals that he had no special skills whatsoever -- not even the ability to run which might've saved him.
It is day. 5 remaining, 3 to lynch.

I'm not DP or Samadhi, and I WILL be doing confirmation votes, starting this round. Once someone reaches a majority, he is allowed to speak. Only then can the citizens post "confirm votes", and actual lynching will only take place after a majority of confirmed votes has been reached.

Hjolfret is thrown against the wall by your combined strength. Suddenly, an angelic chorus is heard, and the voice of God booms: "HE will not be screwed for living in Israel. He will have his chance. I will provent you from killing him until he speaks. Then you can have your way with him"
Hjolfret, you have 24 hours to speak. After that, everyone will be allowed to confirm their votes for you. 3 confirmed votesd = lynch.

God has already spoken, and said he will no longer protect Hjolfret. The idea is not to stall the game, but to let him at least one chance to speak for himself. Yes, you can unvote confirmed votes. In a sense, I just reset your votes for him, and the next time he reaches 3, he is lynched.

Someone: "Get it? Nickel Cadmium! Ha ha, I kill me!"
Cadmium: "Well, that was seriously lame"
Cadmium dies.

There's no need for God to intervene -- Jeep has spoken in his own defense. The second I register two confirmed votes (so far I got one from IS) is the second he is lynched.

Internet Stranger and Corsato grab Jeep. "We need some way of killing him" says Corsato. "Here, maybe this'll do" says IS, and gives Corsato a syringe. Corsato injects Jeep with whatever it was, and Jeep falls to the floor, lifeless. "Hey, where'd you get this, anyway?" asks Corsato. "From his doctor bag" replies IS calmly. "From... so... you're...?"
"Yep" says IS, "they don't call me the Paragon for nothing".
"But why? why did you go through all this?"
"I needed to punish you nine for your crimes against humanity!"
"But we didn't commit any crimes against humanity"
"Doh. Damn the mail system. Oh well, might as well get this finished with"
IS dumps an anvil on Corsato, and rides alone into the sunset.

Thanks to everyone. Yes, I gave out the roles at random. Not doing so would introduce a new elemnt to the mafia metagame - "reading the mod's mind", which I don't like. I think even someone less eloquent than IS might've pulled it out, though.
