Yes, bandwagonning will make a lot of sense.

This will certainly get things going. I have posted, now does this make the choice easier? The non-poster will either not reply (and maybe get killed and is probably town, result: same is deadline) or claims that he is a townie.

No, explain to me why you definitely have to lynch someone with a deadline. You have a very large chance of killing a townie if you lynch with so little information.

Beside that, you didn't start the bandwagon. You joined one.
