Something I've noticed in other games that I'm beginning to notice here is that simply saying some bullshit without backing it up apparently is a towntell. I don't get that, can someone care to explain?

Not only is this NOT coming from scum because blanketing statements that, even if that's not how he plays, would still apply to his scumbuddies wouldn't be likely, it's also backing up his later discussion with scumspawn:

I completely disagree with silverspawn that explaining votes is scummy. In fact, it is my opinion that not explaining votes is scummy. Why would you announce a conclusion without presenting the premises and connections and expect people to believe/sheep you?

Overexplaining votes is scummy for the same reason that overdefending is scummy. Scum fears pressure more than town does, scum feels the need to explain votes carefully more than town does. If every town was afraid of putting someone at L-X, we would never have wagons. I think this is true especially for new scum, if you're new you try to explain all of your votes carefully in order to appear reasonable, whereas town just doesn't care as much.

This is flawed because it opens up an avenue for scum to strongly pressure a town player without the town player being able to defend themselves against it without looking scummy for defending their position.

Not only is silverspawn trying to justify not having to explain anything, it's not even taking into consideration that though rare, that is exactly how some obvtowns play. Complete transparency is exactly the type of shit scum is going to call 'overexplaining'. There's apparently some kind of thin line between being clear and being scum? Idts.

If you're lynched, the playout is going to be something like:

Garmr comes back alive in D2 with one of Madonna or I dead. (Two less to push his lynch.)
He's going to 'hide' behind one of the town which will conftown the townie (One less to push his lynch) and 'conftown' scum Garmr.
And his explanation will be to say that scum wouldn't take the 2-fer just to be able to lynch Garmr. When really, scum would take the 2-fer.
With 11 alive in D2, it would take 6 to lynch. Taking out those three less to push his lynch, with a likely scum team of at least 3 in a 13p, it would mean he doesn't get lynched unless the conftown townie doubts the validity of that 'hide' or he gets bussed by one of them.

Call it paranoid, idc. If Garmr is alive D2, he needs to die.

And if there's some alternate reality where he actually

is

town, then he needs to stop fucking around and start working with whoever his townreads are to figure out the best possible person to hide behind to hit scum - because him hitting scum is the best case scenario for town.
