That question was kind of pointless. But ok. Nobody has posted enough to get any solid reads and yes the game felt dead. I haven't been able to play for 2 months and the fact that I'm playing a game where nobody is trying to play yet is frustrating me.

Input from me is going to have to wait sorry. I don't feel comfortable giving reads until I'm able to reread and wasn't able to do that today because I'm not feeling well.

@gerry don't flatter yourself. I'm not paying you any extra attention becsuse your push on me doesn't worry me. When I see questionable behavior I question it and you have made at least 2 posts that I felt warranted more explanation from you. Just be glad you aren't playing with the old me.

Why won't you place a vote on him then?
cause it feels like a policy lynch. As bad as he is playing I actually don't think he would play this bad if he were scum. I don't think he'd push a policy lynch as scum either. I'd rather somebody investigate him cause if he's TOWN I feel he could be useful later in the game. Day 1 is a crap shoot so I'm not really worried about how useful somebody is Day one. If anything those trying to look useful could be scum vying for town cred.

Yeah pressuring somebody to contribute usually is a waste of time. Who's your best bet for scum at this early stage?

I don't know who I'm scum reading yet. I find when I make decisions based on following a long normally my reads usually aren't good. When I step back and reread I get a clearer picture and pick up on things I've missed and my reads tend to be better. At least back where
I used to play. Don't really do it anymore.

It's like when you watch a movie for the first time and watch it again you see things that didn't really catch your eye or notice the first time

If you don't want to share that's cool.

He thinks that psyche warrants votes, but Jake doesn't want to vote him since it feels like a policy lynch, and psyche might be town, but Jake also thinks that pressuring people to contribute is a waste of time.

Why would psyche warrant votes - Jake doesn't think he's scum, doesn't want to policy lynch him and doesn't want to pressure him to contribute.
I'll explain.

Psyche is hands down the scummiest person in the game right now so it makes sense people want to vote him. That's what I mean by he warrants the votes. I personally don't believe his actions are an indication of scum so I'm not going to be voting him. Time is better spent voting the person you think is scum.

that's a huge wall that I don't have time to read on my phone atm. I did skim the part that you posted after you quoted my post and I don't think you even heavily implied anything about gerry. The only post I saw was where you said you liked where I was headed with regards to me questioning him but I wasn't scum reading gerry at the time so agreeing with my questioning doesn't mean you are scum reading somebody.

so did I miss a post somewhere? can you link or quote the post where you heavily imply it?

@yoshi do you have issues with town reading Maria early on specifically or do you have issues with people developing town reads early in general.

Personally think that post about Gerry from rask is pretty good. I feel like any player who's suspicious of another would be trying to interact with them. not to mention some of the stuff he says isn't even accurate and the stuff that is isn't alignment indicative.

If he or anyone else wants content from me. Here I am. Just ask.

Also the reason why I wasn't able to give scum reads was because I needed to get caught up and reread. Something I had said before he asked me for my reads. I said it again after I said I was sick and had to delay my reading. It was on the day I was sick when he asked for my reads.

Way to take advantage of me when I'm busy/sick. Regardless your alignment I find you to be a very malipuatuve and disrespectful person

but go back and read that page again. Unless I am missing something I don't see where anyone asks him to explain why he was scum reading me. He also threw it out there at a very odd time because he just asked Gamma else what they thought about him and jack.

gamma responds back to Yoshi and then Yoshi's response back mentions why he was scum reading me, which confuses gamma and rightfully so because it confused me as well. It was an awkward transition. Like he's had a mental lapse and can't keep his shit straight or something.

Also I find it odd that he sort of abandons his scum read on me and changes it to the Jaack (who I am voting) and gerry (who through my questions has reacted poorly)

it kind of feels like he is reads are trying to mirror my own which I would definitely put into the potential buddying category.

lastly he isn't voting either of his scum reads, he is voting psyche who he is trying to pressure for more info but it's not working.

in a nutshell it's a bunch of busy work without making any effort to actually find or lynch scum.

You're assuming. Yoshi completely ignored 322. Didn't respond or react to it at all. Why in the middle of his conversation with somebody else would he bring it up? Imo that's what somebody who's guilty does. Like he's worried about keeping his story straight.

As for 303, he basically says he agrees with gear's point and a couple posts later changed his original "jack was overreactive" to parroting gear and saying jack was "over the top".

How do you tell if that's a genuine change or opinion or buddying?

You feel strong about number 1? That's where you originally answered a question not even directed at you and his response back to you said as much. What about that do you feel strongly about? There's nothing AI in number 1, if anything you come out looking bad for answering somebody else's question.

Jack asked light to expand on his read of gear

You respond to that saying that gear looks ok even though gear is defending you

Jack responds saying "the question wasn't directed at you but ok"

You say you still feel strongly about number 1 (so you are saying you feel strongly about jack saying you answered a question not directed at you? That seems odd)

I question you about that response

You essentially say "who cares if it was directed at somebody else. You found it contradictory to his posts"

So basically you are saying that jack asking light to expand on his gear read is somehow a contradiction to his other posts.

So yeah I'm confused. How can a question be interpreted as a contradiction?

So somehow you are the one who is confused which supports my theory that you are having trouble keeping your story straight.

Now if you want to come back later and try and clear all this up for me. I'll be waiting but clearly #1 is not the post you meant to say. I'm
Not sure which post you meant though.

Does that make sense to anyone who isn't Jake? Do you agree with me? I dunno, a vibe is hard to explain, but I feel like I should justify my vote.
In a game of mafia there are always going to be simple questions. Scum slips happen when you get people to explain their answers. You seem to have trouble doing that right now. You can't even keep your story straight so yeahof course you are going to get a vibe from me. I'm making you nervous because im questioning things you have said that don't make sense to me. If you can't explain it, I'm going to keep asking until you can.

Right now your responses don't make sense. You have obviously confused posts. I'll wait til you have time to explain it better.

How can you think someone's content is okay when they are defending your scumread AND voting you? Or am I horribly misunderstanding this?

Yoshi's 312 was about both of you, he was questioned about his read on you, 315, 334, he was talking about Jaack, 336 about you, responding to the questions about his read.

Also, I'm not an alt.
I'd go back and reread if I were you. Yoshi mentioning me in 312 came completely on his own. Nobody asked him about me. He wasn't questioned about his read on me because that's the first time he mentions who his mysterious scum read was on.

315 is where he was responding to jack. Correct. it has nothing to do with his later confusion.

The part I'm talking about though is 334 he asks gamma about jack
335 gamma responds
336 yoshi mentions me out of the blue again. Unprovoked

there was some sort of mistake. Maybe you don't consider it one but i certainly do.

you were asking Gamma about his thoughts on you and jack. Gamma responds to your question and then you go and explain why you are scum reading me. Gamma didn't ask you for that information. Gamma even asked you if you meant Jack since you were originally talking about him.

The mention of me came from what seems out of left field.

The ONLY person who asked you why you were scum reading (from what i can tell) was Jack in post 322 but i don't think you were responding to his question because you basically admitted to ignoring his post later in the game.

I feel at this point you are just trying to cause confusion. You are acting confused when I have clearly and rationally explained all my thoughts and you i don't feel have done a good job with it. At one point i even asked you a clarifying question and you basically refused to answer me. i don't see that as a town motivated action.

so yes it sucks i am stucking tunneling on yet another person, I think I am tunneling in the right direction so my vote won't be coming off you anytime soon.

i'm not trying to make it confusing. you are the one who has posted so many things that literally make no sense that my head is swimming. When I tried to get clarification you keep running in circles adding to the confusion. It's not worth it and it's obvious nothing I can do or say is going to convince people what I believe is true so i'll just cut my losses and look for your partners.

I'm sorry if you are taking my words about the game and taking it personal. It is not my intention and tbh I don't even know how you made that leap but anyways I apologize. Me saying your word is not good to me is not a personal attack. it's a game related one since I think you are scum and as such I can't trust the words of scum.

yes and it's not appreciated since it isn't even remotely close to what I did.

I did prove/disbunk gear's defense. Nothing in gear's defense was even remotely close to what actually happened.

Fast forward a couple of pages, yoshi changes his story from not reading any of Jack's post to reading and responding to 1 single aspect of it. And that 1 single thing just happens to be the part that I was questioning as out of place.

but nobody wants to take a step back and ignore their biases to actually think or discuss it so that's why I unvoted.

You know why? It's because it isn't all that wrong. Some of the conflict is because I think more attention should be put upon those who aren't contributing and overall some actions I did appear to him as scummy. I still feel strong for 1. Number 2 was saying that this was a small encounter for such a huge response, which seemed scummy to me. I don't think his response to 3 was one that grilled me. Sure, I admit I should have asked for why he townread Maria, it would have been a logical thing to do there, but I didn't really because I don't care. I'd like some explanation on 4, and why he thinks 154 is scummy. He's got me on number 5 though. He's right, but like him I didn't feel like he was gonna respond so I looked into getting votes on him instead. Number 6 is just a matter of opinion. Personally, I think non-contributing players should be given more attention. Now 7, I dunno... I didn't think it was conceding at first, looking at it again I really just wanted to avoid any conflict, not to mention he was right.

Wagon is icing on the cake.
nothing about either of those posts are actually AI. They could come from town or scum.

But maria, since yoshi couldn't answer this maybe you can.

Yoshi says he feels strongly about #1 right?

How can he feel strongly about yoshi answering a question that wasn't even directed at him and Jaack telling him that the question wasn't directed at him.

What is there to feel strongly about exactly?

Maria, earlier you said that yoshi wasn't really playing like the yoshi you know but you don't want to use meta.

later you say the fact that nobody is defending him means he is probably town.

fast forward multiple are defending him now. Does the fact that people are defending him not change anything?

I also want to point out that you just used the yoshi meta but remember you hate using meta.

let's break this down. Put it in spoilers to prevent a wall post. Though i don't think any of the yoshi defenders will even read it.

Spoiler:
Jack asked Light about his read on gear

yoshi for some reason answers the question

jack says the question wasn't directed at him

fast forward. Yoshi says he still feels strongly about #1

I was confused because that was a weird thing to feel strongly about. Why would yoshi feel strongly about something completely irrelevant and not even related to him.

Yoshi's response was even more strange. Yoshi's response was

Wait. Who contradicted his own posts? Who didn't elaborate?
Why are you even arguing with me if you don't know who?

You're not posting anything that can't be given just a simple answer, if you know what I mean. You're thinking "OMG HE POSTED THIS" instead of "Why did he post that?"
Does that make sense to anyone who isn't Jake? Do you agree with me? I dunno, a vibe is hard to explain, but I feel like I should justify my vote.

Yoshi clearly made a mistake. It's not even his first mistake. I am doing my best to post these mistakes in a clear and concise manner so people can read them for themselves but nobody even seems to want to. In my opinion there is no way anyone can read that exchange and think yoshi looks town or that yoshi even knows what he is talking about.

If people aren't going to put the effort in and actually question yoshi for his weird posts, there is nothing I can do about that but even if you town read somebody, they shouldn't get a free pass if they post questionable things.

You also said this is classic town yoshi so that means you should have an understanding on what he was saying and who he was talking about

Also since you've said it twice now. More than you and rask have come to yoshi's defense. I'm not sure how you missed that especially since one of the people defending him lied to do it.

I did actually. But given that I asked you to explain something that he said that didn't make sense you also refused just like he did. That's a sign that you aren't willing to even consider you could be wrong because that was one of his scum slips.

You also exaggerated my comment to gear and later failed to acknowledge that gear was defending yoshi also which confirms you aren't actually making an effort to read and evaluate things.

I'm still trying to figure out why I'm not scum reading you. I probably should but I still have you as null though. Mainly cause I'm today's lynch and I don't have to worry about it.

Btw I should be lynched. It's proper play. Always lynch claimed VT d1 to prevent any other claims being outed.

No pretty sure that's the hammer.

Please lynch yoshi tomorrow. Gerry the day after. (Or at the very least check them out)
Ignore ira cause he's probably just trolling which sucks for town.

Never gonna happen with me alive.
Hey guess what. There's a rule on this site.
Do not bring outside influences into the game
- this includes threats, bribes, wagers, promises, "trust tells",
alliances
, etc. Using knowledge from previous games is perfectly acceptable, but try not to carry grudges from one game to another.
when this game is over you two aren't masons this game, I'm going to seriously wonder if this rule wasn't violated.

There's no other way you can have this kind of certainty

I considered the possibility I was wrong. Then I reread his scum slips and try to figure out how town could post those things. I can't figure it out.

Can you explain it? How did yoshi scum slip multiple times if he's town?

the things I was grilling yoshi about were very likely scum slips. He also showed signs of manipulation and out right lying.

I mean lots of people do that on this site so sure I guess it's possible he's town and I'm wrong but I'll always be fooled by dishonesty. Town shouldn't have to lie

Town should never be afraid of how they are perceived. Town should never be afraid to say who they are scum reading.

This is actually one of the reasons why I was obvious town. No scum is going to be stupid enough to push on somebody who's universally town read. Man I wish people would actually think about motives sometimes.

*puffy face*
If yoshi is town then Maria is scum. He's done nothing this game to make himself obvious town

Don't go into lylo trying to case doubt on the cleared townie.

You were so convinced ira was town even in lylo when it's obvious he's not, you still acted like he was until it was too late.
