6. nopointinactingup
9. SpyreX
10. Super Smash Bros. Fan
11. Wickedestjr

Dearly departed:

8. Sando, The Mafia Godfather, lynched day 1
7. podium123456, Vanilla Townie, killed night 1
5. llamaeatataco, Town Elite Bodyguard, lynched day 2, killed night 2(mod error on lynch)
2. charter, Vanilla Mafia, counterkilled night 2
1. AlmasterGM , Town Cop, killed night 3

Not so dearly departed(mod killed):

Current deadline: Sunday,July 18 (2pm PST), with a possible 1 week extension to the 28th depending on activity

Rules (shamelessly stolen from Gayle(stolen from Netopalis))
1. No discussion of the game outside the thread will be allowed.
2. All votes should be bolded and in the following format Vote: Scumbag
3. Upon the majority of players voting for a particular player, a lynch will occur. If, at deadline, a majority has not been reached, no-lynch will occur.
4. When a lynch is reached, the game enters twilight until the thread is locked. During this time, the lynchee may continue to post.
5. Deadlines will be as follows: 2 weeks automatically at the start of the day with an optional 1 week extension based on the activity level and replacement status of the players. Night actions must be received within 48 hours of a day's end.
6. No discussion of ongoing games will be permitted.
7. Be respectful to other players.
8. At the discretion of the mod, modkills will be issued for the breakage of these rules depending on the intent and egregiousness of the error.
9. Failure to post within a 72 hour period will result in a prod. Failure to respond to a prod within 48 hours will result in replacement. After being prodded 3 times unless your activity has made up for it otherwise, you will be force replaced if you need a fourth prod.
10. Flavor is meaningless. No player will receive any flavor via PM.
11. I am the mod and reserve the right to change the rules if I see it needed.
12. My mod color is
Dark Red
, please do not use this.

I also confirm that AlmasterGM and Super Smash Bros. Fan are in this game, and understand (so they say) their roles (or should I say their jobs).

@Mod: 2/3 of the people here have confirmed. Will our votes count since 2/3 of the people have confirmed, despite us not officially starting Day 1 yet?

Mod:I'll count the votes excluding hiphop's as he voted before 2/3 were confirmed

Vote: nopointinactingup

He'll slip up eventually.

Day 1

Seems strange that a town would only have 11 people in it, doesn't it? I mean really, it's just plain weird. Still, this town has 11 people in it. Or had rather.

See, there was this guy names Hayker, and he was your average uncool nerd, used the computer too much, played too many games, and always listening to music, unable to hear anything around him. He was playing a game with loud music on his computer that night in fact. Too oblivious to the guy, who clumsily entered his house. Several pots and pans were knocked over, many jars and glasses broke. A few holes in the floor and wall, and of course loud creaks in the wood as the killer came up to him with a knife. One stab, through Hayker's heart ended his useless life. Sucks to be Hayker right now...

Being dead wasn't cool with Hayker, so he decided to be a ghost.

"WAKE UP EVERYONE, I HAVE BEEN KILLED AND AM NOW A GHOST. There is a mafia in town...so....go lynch them or something!"

And the game begins...

Current deadline: Wednesday, June 23, with a possible 1 week extension to the 30th depending on activity

First off, let's agree to these contracts (Do not have to say you agree to us):
1. We agree to be active and not get replaced out unless it is simply impossible. Basically means avoid prods and flaking out.
2. To never self-hammer as it is disrespectful to the players and the mod.

Secondly, I think we can balance do both RVS and RQS. You can choose to do both or one of them. I'll be doing both.

RVS question:
1. What Timezone do you live in? This will be important when we get into more important parts of the game and not everyone lives in the same time zone.
2. How much experience do you have with Mafia?
3. How did you end up on Mafiascum?
4. Do you prefer RVS or RQS?
5. Describe your play style (Optional)

Answering my RVS questions:
1. I live in the Central Time Zone.

2. I started to play Mafia on March 8, 2010 over at Smash World Forums. I've completed six games there and is currently working on a 7th game (Games tend to go faster there, planning on temporarily leaving Desicive Games (Where they host Mafia) for awhile until I feel like I'm a solid player). As for here, I've completed three games so far, first being Newbie 934.

3. I was interested in finding a forum dedicated generally to Mafia after playing a few games on Smash World Forums and someone talked about this site. A few people dislike the site due to it's long deadline, but I didn't see the problem. So I decided to try it out and now I'm hooked (Need to lay off the addiction, thought).

4. Both are good ways to get a game started, but I slightly prefer RQS. RQS gather more information in the long run and reduce the chance of a mislynch during the RVS period.

5. I'm a very active player, especially larger games. I'm commited to the games I play. I'm also trying to catch on a relatively aggressive play style as I am an active player. I also tend to suspect more people then normally.

I agree to the contract.

1. GMT
2. This is my 18th game of mafia. Three of my previous games were on another site. This is my 15th game on this site.
3. I played it on another website, but they played 2/3 games every few weeks, so I looked for other sites to play the game and found mafiascum.
4. RQS
5. As town I play by figuring out who's town by using gut and logic. (More often gut). My suspicions change frequently throughout the first day until I have good grip on the game. As scum I am a bit more lazy and bandwagony. I also tend to attack inexperienced players as scum more often. When I'm town I don't like it when inexperienced players get a large bandwagon for newbie mistakes and go after other players.

SSBF, what was the purpose of asking those questions? What kind of discussion were you hoping to start from those questions? Also, are you scum?

Eastern Time Zone.

2. How much experience do you have with Mafia?
Probably close to fifteen forum games, plus chat-based games.

3. How did you end up on Mafiascum?
Reading a forum Mafia game on another site.

4. Do you prefer RVS or RQS?
Indifferent.

5. Describe your play style (Optional)
Bitchy.

Wickedestjr wrote:SSBF, what was the purpose of asking those questions?
These questions IMO are easier to look back at evidence. With RVS, reactions is basically why it exist. With RQS, you're able to look at the play style and how they answered the question. For example, if I were to notice you bandwagon frequently and attack inexperienced players, I would use that as evidence against you. Now I wouldn't say you're scum because you were doing those thing, but it does raise the possibility of you being scum if that's the case. RQS is basically more of a long-term benefit then RVS.
Wickedestjr wrote:What kind of discussion were you hoping to start from those questions?
Another good thing about RVS is that you can point out flaws in it that bothers you, which can also help spark discussion. For example, with your answer to #4, you said you preferred RQS to RVS. However, then you called me out for the questions. What type of questions during RQS would you consider beneficial?
Wickedestjr wrote:Also, are you scum?
No I am not. BTW, I remember this question from Mini 955: Classic Mafia where you asked Seacore this question.

1. EST, but I sometimes post at odd hours (like in the early morning and late at night).
2. A year or so on here and a little irrelevant experience before that.
3. Referral.
4. I prefer the RAS (Random Argument Stage)
5. I play mafia for fun. If you stop being fun and start being annoying, I'll hate you and this game. Don't do it.

3. Started at Epicmafia, ended up here via google I think.
4. I prefer short. V's, Q's whatever it doesn't matter.
5. Awesome.
