A Re-Balanced Game of Mafia

RULES:

I stole all of this from BBmolla who stole from Quadz cause I'm lazy.

General:

The Site Rules apply.
I reserve the right to alter these rules if I deem it necessary, including retroactively enforcing new/altered rules.
Use
bold text
to communicate with me in thread, or you may send me a PM.
All night actions will be resolved with a modified version of Natural Action Resolution.
Purple is my color. Do not use it.
All roles have been given out by Random.org.

Game Specific:

This game features an open setup. Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see sample PMs.
As such all roles are revealed pre-game. There are 8 Vanilla Townies, 1 Town Macho Cop, 1 Town Doctor, and 3 Mafia Goons.
Anyone from the Mafia may submit the nightkill or no kill, with the last action in their Private Topic before deadline going through.

Voting/Lynching:

Voting will be done either using the VOTE: tag, or in this format:
vote: Carter
.
There will be no voting trickery. If something is clearly intended to be a vote for a specific player, I will treat it as such.
A lynch will occur when half-plus-one of living players (rounded down) are voting for the same player. As soon as the hammer vote is cast, the game will enter Twilight.
Players may vote for No Lynch. A No Lynch will be hammered at half of living players (rounded up), not half-plus-one.
All living players (including the lynchee) may talk in Twilight, but any voting/unvoting will not count. Twilight will last until I post the final vote count / scene.
Roles will be revealed at death.
Once dead, you are allowed a single ‘bah’ post (containing nothing game related) at the beginning of the next Day Phase.
If there is no majority at deadline, a no-lynch will occur.

Deadlines:

Day phases will have a deadline of 2 weeks from the daybreak scene.
Day phases are extendable in the case of extenuating circumstances.
Night phases will have a deadline of 2 days from the lynch scene.
Prods will be given if a player has not posted in 48 hours.
A player must respond, in-thread, to a prod within 48 hours, or they will be replaced. If the 48 hours runs into Night Phase, they must PM me within the same time frame.

Don’t Be Stupid:

Play to your win condition.
Don’t use hidden or encrypted text. You may use small text, unless it is hiding game-related or important information.
Do not excessively insult your fellow players. Insult the play, not the person.
Have fun. No, really. Have fun.

- The Mafia may kill one player per Night. This may be done in addition to other actions.

Win Condition

You win when all town players are eliminated and at least one Mafia-aligned player is still alive (or nothing can prevent the same).

Cop - During the Night, you may select a target to investigate. You will receive a result of either "not mafia" or "mafia" at the start of the day phase

Macho - You are immune to Protection. You will die if shot by mafia even if the doctor protects you the same night

Win Condition

You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated and at least one Town-aligned player is still alive, or nothing can prevent the same.

Doctor - During the Night, you may choose some one to protect from the mafia night kill. Your target cannot die that night unless they are the Town Macho Cop

You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated and at least one Town-aligned player is still alive, or nothing can prevent the same.

roles have been randomized and will be sent out shortly. Please confirm via pm by parroting back what role you got. I'll start day 1 when everyone has confirmed and give everyone 48 hours to do so. Mafia will be able to talk to each other during this time, though this thread will remain locked.

Edit: Even if everyone has confirmed, I will not start day 1 until 24 hours have passed, so the mafia team has at least that time to talk

Hello everyone! I tend to be less active on weekends, so I'm just checking in quickly here. I would like to know three things of everyone:
1) How much Mafia have you played before (in person or online)?
2) How active are you typically in a Mafia game? That is, is there sort of a posts per day frequency that's approximately typical for you?
3) Are you scum?

RQS are usually scummy. However I'll wait with drawing conclusions yet.

Answers:
1. Quite a lot in person and in sc2mafia, few games at MS.
2. I'm usually highly active. If there is anyone to talk to of course.
3. I wish I was. I was lucky enough to draw scum only at Marathon games so far.

1) I don't really keep track.
2) In my one completed game on this site I had 58 posts over roughly 27 days.
3) Check your role pm, all the scum are listed in it.
