The scene:

a courthouse.

Gathered:

fourteen individuals, all being accused of various crimes. Maybe they did it, maybe they didn't. But they are owed due process of law either way. They come from all walks of life, all having rich personalities, but one thing is clear; these people are not meant to mingle.

hen one of them is found dead, the thirteen survivors are held in a cell together. The situation is explained as thus: "Only one of you could have done this. We suspect there are three crooks among you, and they know we are investigating them. You're not going anywhere until we figure this mess out."

nderstandably, this pleases none. Bureaucracy would dictate a slow, methodical, drawn-out lengthy trial, for which everyone would be uncomfortable with. However, maybe...just maybe...they could get out of the bind. Three culprits. If they could only...

hus, they would have to work together, however briefly, and find the truth. For here, while certainly no paragons, everyone is innocent...except the three actually guilty.
