Rules

A.
Deadlines

1. Days will last a total of
10 days
except D1
which will last
14 days
.
2. Nights will last
48 hours.

3. Night extensions will only be made if I'm searching for replacements. Day extensions will be considered upon request. A 1-day extension will probably be accepted if there is mass-replacements, mass v/la, or replacements need a little extra time. Longer extensions require a more substantial reasons.

B.
Voting and Lynching

1. If a lynch isn't decided by deadline, no lynch will occur.
2. You must use
Vote: Someone
or VOTE: Someone to cast a vote. You can unvote by
Unvote: Someone
or UNVOTE: Someone. To vote no lynch, use
Vote: No Lynch
or VOTE: No Lynch.
3. The hammering vote occurs when a player receives 50%+1 votes or No Lynch is voted for by 50%+1 votes.
4. When the hammering vote is cast, the game enters twilight. You may continue to talk until the thread is locked, but please note that any votes cast afterwards will not be counted.
5. VCs will be posted as often as possible.
If you see a VC error, please address me in bold beginning with "@Mod"


C.
Modkills, Activity, and Force-Replacement

1. Prods will be issued after
48 hours
. Weekends count as
24 hours *each*
.
2. After receiving a prod, you must respond in
24 hours
or I will start looking for a replacement.
In addition, excessive use of posts to forestall prods without playing the game ("dodging" prods) may result in a replacement.

3. Upon receiving a
3rd
prod, I will
immediately
begin searching for a replacement when I prod you. A fourth prod equals an immediate force-replace.
4. Should I begin searching for a replacement and you return before I find a replacement, you will keep your slot, unless this is your fourth prod.
5. If a player is force-replaced or modkilled, you will
not
gain access to the Dead PT.
6. If I cannot find a replacement in
1 week
or a single slot is replaced

times (excluding pre-game), I will be forced to kill the slot. The slot is *not* modkilled however.

7. If a town player is modkilled, the day will end in No Lynch. If a mafia player is modkilled, the day will continue.
8. Please inform me if you will be V/LA. Do note that unless you can follow regular activity demands, I will
not
accept a V/LA period
longer than 72 hours
You will be prodded 12-24 hours after your V/LA period ends.
9. All prods must be responded to in-thread unless it is night by the time you return, in which case, you must pm me.
10. Players may request for "nudges" before 48 hours have past, and I will nudge the player. Player-requested nudges do not count as prods. I will issue a real prod around 48 hrs of not posting.
11.
Consequences of not following the rules in section E are not limited to this game.

D.
Pre-Game

1. Pre-game will last for 72 hours after role pms are distributed. The game will immediately begin after this 72 hour period unless less than 8/13 players have confirmed.
2. If you don't pick up your role pm within 36 hours, I will begin searching for a replacement.
3. All private topics will be open during pre-game.
4. The thread will be open during pre-game.
You must confirm both by pm'ing me your role and alignment (
Do this first!
) AND by confirming in-thread.
If you have confirmed your role to me, then you will be prodded if you don't post at least once during pre-game.
5. During pre-game, you may chat with other players as in a regular day phase.
Votes cast in pre-game will not be counted.


E.
General Site and Game Rules

1. Excessive flaming or trolling, personal insults, racism, bullying, etc. is strictly not allowed.
2. No provable randomness! This especially includes dice tags!
3. All text must be at least:

9. No editing/deletion of posts. If you accidentally post a wrong post, just address me with a message in-thread (also be specific). I will also try to fix any formatting errors you may make,
with the exception of voting tags.

10.
Rules E.1-E.9 are global rules. This list is not exhaustive, and you are expected to follow all globals rules at this site regardless if it's explicitlyi in the ruleset.

11. Orange is my color
in the game thread.
Yellow will be used in PTs because it looks way better. Sorry for those who cannot read this.
Please don't use it. It's acceptable in readlists, but do not try to impersonate me by using the color.
12. Any changes made to this ruleset during the game will be noted at the next VC I post.
13. Have fun! And if you have a question, or if something suspicious is going on, feel free to ask me!
14.
Exploiting holes in the rules and intentionally faking to break the rules will lead to worse consequences than actually breaking the rule. This includes testing the limits of the rules.

15.
Once you are dead, you may only post in the dead PT. No bah! posts allowed.

16. Natural action resolution will be used in this setup. If 2 JK's target each other, the one who sends in the night pm first will take precedence. If a RB and a JK target each other, the RB takes precedence.
17.
Mafia cannot kill and use their night action at the same time.

18.
Rule additions since the start of the game have been underlined.

All PT will be open, but votes will not be counted. (This is not Night though - PRs cannot use their abilities).

You may, and I highly encourage you to, continue to post in this thread even after confirming. Tbh, a /confirm is not neccessary; you simply need to post at least once during pregame to avoid a prod, but again, please continue to post and treat this as a day with no voting and PTs open.
