I feel like I should replace out instantly out of any game that has had a Neopolitan, its a bad role.

You think I'm a terrible noob. I get it.

Doesn't mean you have to go out of your way insult my play at every corner. I mean seriously, like half the mason thread is about saying how terrible (or scum) I am. (Slight exaggeration.) You're even saying my read/case on Karnos is bad even if Karnos flips scum... It's kind of fitting we lost the game after you recruited him.. (Though I doubt we would have won even if you recruited town instead.) And you would never recruit me because of my style, not alignment? Ew.

I know I'm not a great player. So what. You learn by making mistakes. I genuinely thought you were scum for discrediting me (among other things). Turns out you were town discrediting me. Whatever, if/when I play another game probably not with you.

@MathBlade: I was killed trying to frame Saru? That's kind of unexpected. I mean, it didn't look like I was really getting anywhere.

The most frustrating part (apart from the whole Saru 1v1) for me was not getting any solid town reads. I tried a couple of times to get some positive interaction, but kind of failed. (Well, some of them were scum, so that makes sense..)

If someone has some constructive feedback for me (i.e. not u suck noob), I'd be interested to hear.

You're taking it too seriously. I've never thought you were a "terrible noob" but I did feel you were trying too hard to look town. Not sure where I was discrediting you. I mention you like twice in the mason PT...And no, I wouldn't have recruited you because of your style, but because you obviously took my response towards you in a strangely personal way, which would have made coordination between us very lacking/awkward. I'm not even sure what I said that makes you feel this way. I guess I was right not to recruit you then, since I guess you still feel this way. :/

Sorry for quicklynching on VLA dwlee99 but had to get a mislynch. It was getting rather hard.

@quibixes -- You did good. Your putting together of me and Karnos was spot on actually. Let me get back to you on your question.

@Mecha -- Love you <3 Why were you so sure I was town?

@Masquerade -- Yeah thought you and Dierfire were Masons so I kept pushing you to give a read.

@MathBlade

Thanks for the kind words!

@qubixes

I thought that you did pretty well. Your case on karnos was part of what eventually persuaded me to make that vote, and I had no difficulty reading you as Town. Throughout the game, you were concise without losing substance, which is one of the things that challenged me in this game.

Good game. Thanks for modding Grey. Thought the game was very balanced and I liked the simplicity of it and the Jailkeep enabler role.

Scum played very well distancing but always managing to let their votes end up on town.

@Qubixes - You did good. I liked that Karnos case and you clearly saw something in his meta that I thought was just playstyle so those were nice insights. Keep up the good work. I enjoyed reading Saru's posts as well
except the ones bolded inside the quotes, seriously who does that?
You guys just had a clash of playstyles this game but now that you are used to each other, you'll probably mesh better in the future.

Incredible game. I was doomed on day 1 before MathBlade replaced in, the mutual bus strategy turned out to be a lifesaver. Neapolitan scum role was handy.

I like how the setup had a lot of unusual power roles. Funny how it turned out Mecha *was* a mason... just not at the time I thought he was one.

So mathblade is scum when they're obvtown, got it.

You tried so hard to get titus involved, I thought that couldn't possibly be scum. Also the frustration about people not lynching karnos was on point.

Great job scum, never would've caught any of you in a million years.

Thanks for the game Grey!

So you know how people occasionally as scum get “caught for the wrong reasons” and lynched? I feel like this game I won for the wrong reasons. It’s really strange. Having a bonus death come from left field that sealed the game was a surreal experience. I saw that and my mind went … whut?

Math and I should not be scum partners. Frankly working with her is an exercise in frustration and I wasn’t nearly as active in the scum QT as I usually am because of it.

I’m impressed karnos survived after Day 1. Being under pressure and having no help for the majority of the Day is very stressful as scum. By the time I replaced in I figured I had to bus him. The fact that I was able to transition away from lynching him Day 2 without catching flack still surprises me.

Pretty much Geriatric game restricted at this point ... unless there are players I REALLY want to play with.

Thanks for replacing in!

I thought you played really well. Your styles clashed extremely, but it managed to work out as kind of town-on-town, and you basically managed to distance very well while still pivoting onto town lynches seamlessly. I could feel you grinding your teeth a little over the traitor spec, but I'm only ever going to quote the normal games wiki modding a normal game, no matter what role I'm asked about. The answer "I'm not getting 4 scum in a mini normal past the review committee in this lifetime" probably would represent moderator bias ;)

You did guess that the strongest scum power role by far was daytalk and that your role was more of an emergency outlet. I thought it was a bit sad that you got it since I intended that the Enabler would be bussed if things went really wrong (there's some ugly scenarios where you can't safely shoot the claimed masons at all because lol jailkeeper which would be horrible if there was 3 masons alive) but you basically leveraged it into an informed goon and just won through better dayplay.

Also people love their information roles. Based on the two normal games I've run I probably have a mod meta of giving the strongest information roles to scum (Mafia Watcher and Mafia Neapolitan). So now you have mod meta for the next normal I run. Or... not. The last time they lynched the Watcher, correctly guessing it didn't fit in with the game. I kind of expected the Neapolitan to suffer the same fate (I thought it might be claimed as Vanilla Cop, which is far weaker) but the masons trusted it so much they figured he was confirmed town, so hey.

I should do a full writeup of how people played, but you were still the strong backbone of the scum team. The masons were nearly willing to gamble on recruiting you.

Thanks for running the game.

Do normal setups ever get re-used, or turned into open setups?

Rarely. Open setups are essentially a town power role in the same way that daytalk is a scum power role. You can never claim Neapolitan in an open version of this setup for instance, and things like "Motion Detector" are confirmed town. So when you turn a closed setup into an open setup you are typically making it town sided.

I think this is a good exercise for learning from an impartial 3rd party and think it would be a good thing to do for every Mod.
