they would not let me do the full version I wanted for desperado as they felt it was too town sided which I still disagree with but whatever.

I think my next game will be in the theme que so I don't have to jump through any hoops

I was about to say it was scumsided but didn't realize there was an even watcher. Pretty swingy on the ninja earning an innocent I think, though watcher can potentially prove a ninja exists.

Probably overall balanced at first glance. I'd tend to agree a full desperado is a bit too much, though scum with a ninja are basically always shooting there anyway. If ninja dies before scum kills desperado (early lynch or the desperado shot itself) that can get nasty for scum I think.

No way is desperado balanced with more than 1-shot then. I'm kinda sketched out by him getting the free 1-shot (that's a nasty scum trap if ever there was one), but there are no super strong town roles (follower the strongest but way weaker than, say, cop or vig or probably even jailkeeper), so it's debatably ok. Still, hitting a scum and then losing a BP puts town back to odds, and that's kind of a pretty big deal, especially with the multiple roles that can potentially track down a kill on the desperado.

i can't really speak to how good/bad people played because i know my end of d1/all of d2 were godawful.

well actually, desperado using their shot on me thinking they were lynched when they really weren't was pretty objectively bad.
