skitter I'm going to be honest, part of the reason I was still scumreading you near the end is pretty much everybody was looking really townie and I felt like if it wasn't Creature it would probably be somebody who's good at looking town as scum

The exi being conf!town after I started believing chenn threw me on you a bit cinn, but I still felt about 80-90% that my hammer on creature was gonna flip good

I think I would hate to play against scum!skitt tho

that's fine, i could tell that was probably what was happening

i've been a little burnt-out recently and i think i'm going on hiatus when all my games end - i definitely didn't put as much effort into this as i could have or would have otherwise, so it made sense to me and if it really came down to it i was p sure getting wagoned would give me enough motivation to prevent a mislynch on me so i wasn't too worried

In post 2095, ClearlyClarity wrote:Talking about the setup, even with all those doc gates I do feel like town had way too much power, especially when scum didn't have any (except Informed about something that ended up not even coming into play in this game). A massclaim immediately screws things over when it's revealed that everything was done to gate the doc, so even if scum tried to claim Nea it'd kind of be suspect when you consider that that would mean town has three strong PRs.
This is a JK setup at its heart. Scum always struggles in those if they lose a member early, as it becomes way stronger with one townie dead. (It seems likely that town would have won regardless of the setup, though.)

FWIW, the "the Enabler makes the setup more townsided" point by chennisden is something I'll have to think about. Given that a) there's nothing stopping scum fakeclaiming a role like that and b) there's no reason why the Enabler necessarily implies the corresponding role, this (if true) means that either moderators have become too predictable or else that scum fakeclaims have become too predictable, and whichever of those is the issue, it's something of a problem with the meta. We might need to have a discussion in the NRG about whether we should take steps to change sitewide modmeta and/or whether we need to train scum on how to fakeclaim better.

It's a named townie though and named townies are more towards townsided than neutral.
