Stealth archer. They all end up as stealth archers anyway, might as well do it on purpose.

Disappointed I didn't get my colored arrows mod. I have a couple of ideas, but they can wait for morning, just turning in at almost half past 1AM.

On a side note, I kind of don't like that daytalk is the order of the day these past few years. I think nighttalk only is an important balancing aspect, or at least gate it to an Encryptor. W/e I'm tired. Should do a MD article on that topic

Pursuant to the second half of the above, I've given it some thought and I think we should massclaim flavor.

Image

WHAT?!
But Pine, massclaiming on Day One has no strategic value and it's only something scum would want! I mega-vote and dayvig you right now to suppress this potentially dangerous idea!

Hear me out. This isn't a typical game, and I'm not suggesting we
role
claim. Just flavor. I have a couple of reasons - first, I really don't think any of the mods people are likely to have chosen are going to point clearly towards scum/Town/TP etc. The nature of Skyrim is heroic, and a lot of mods are quality of life rather than dramatic content changes. I highly doubt that in this game a flavorclaim is going to expose our PRs. Second, the obscure and esoteric nature of a lot of mods makes it so a whole bunch of different interpretations are possible, giving JJH flexibility in designing their role. Third, what flavorclaiming WOULD do is strip away a lot of the options for scum down the line to fakeclaim - "Improved World Map with Roads" lends itself to a lot of options as a game designer, but shuts down a
ton
of choices for desperate scum. I could claim tracker, watcher, maybe even roleblocker or rolecop with that mod. What I could NOT do is then claim Doc, or Cop, or Vigilante, or what have you.

TL;DR - Mass flavorclaiming is harmless in this setup, but severely restricts scum's flexibility down the line.

I'll go first - the example I gave, "Improved World Map with Roads," is my assigned mod. My top choice had been this utility/quality of life mod, and I think the third was an improved mining mod.

FTR, I'm thinking that TD's vote on alimdia (and vice versa) is distancing/bussing respectively.

I’m growing to despise that argument. Even assuming both of TD’s partners decided to stick their necks out to defend him (unlikely) that would only be two people. “Resistance” is really only valid in large games where there’s a substantial scumteam covering one another and lategame when the ratio is more perilous.

Sup Fishy. Can you get me into this game? The weird thing is that it has some of my favorite players, but I’m not switched on yet

Do you have any original thoughts of your own? This is the second time you have used popsofctown's viewpoint to support your own actions.
Not really, but I don’t need to. I’m openly skimming this game because I’m busy. I don’t like D1 and when I find someone who appears to be obvTown whose instincts I trust, I’m going to go with them.

And knock it off with the “are you going to answer my questions” bit. You aren’t entitled to have every little question answered, and demanding answers is a good way to entrench people against giving them. You get more flies with honey etc

Asking for claims is for pansies. A competent scum player will give you something clever and an incompetent one will give you something obvious to draw out a PR. It’s all WIFOM. You’re either confident or you’re not, and TD has had a while to give us a reason to pause

PE: I’m sick and fucking tired of hearing how much time there was left in a day phase. So what? More time to spin is more time to weasel out. Be decisive, dammit.
