Star, you haveonevote. Why are you freaking out over one vote?
When I posted I had orangepenguin and Mix, and it seemed like it was added up a lot of votes with just no reason at all behind them.
I don't care if I get votes. This is Mafia, you have to expect it. I just expect a reason or an explanation. Or is that wrong in this game?<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

I guess no one read 143?
I did miss this question and I apologize.Mixologist wrote:@Starbuck- What are your thoughts on to this point?
I was trying to quickly catch up during my lunch break. Also, I do live in Italy right now (stationed here with the Navy) so my board times may be off from you guys quite a bit.
I saw OP's joke votes, but then saw yours with no reason or explanation behind it, which is why you should read 143.
Now, onto my thoughts so far:
I'm suspicious of Andy and KMD.
The only thing that's holding me back on KMD is his vote on Andy, but that still could be a cover. Maybe there's a way that the votes can be redirected and/or deflected, or maybe someone is immune lynch. My reasoning behind thinking this is because I'm currently playing a game on the View Askew forums which is an all power Avengers game and we just finished an all power DC Comics game. I don't know if any of that could come into play in this game, but this is a "Fantasy" mafia game, so anything is possible.
I am wondering what his thought process is with this statement:
Kmd4390 wrote:
Because I think Andy is scum. And I think you and Starbuck are his buddies. I don't think Ort is scum.Goat wrote:Here's a question: Why have you kept your random vote on Andy this entire time, even though you have not bothered to question or pressure him a single time since early page 2 when you merely asked him the seriousness of his vote? I see you questioning Ortolan, myself, Starbuck, but not Andy, who your vote is conveniently on.
He seems to just be taking shots at everyone and being quite insulting (cocky?). He seems to be riding Goat pretty hard, and hasn't backed off, and seems to be pretty defensive like he is hiding something.
But the same could be said about Andy.
I think Ortolan may be onto something with this:
ortolan wrote:
How come you didn't explain this at the time? You just said "please, we've already gone through the silly discussion phase" which implies scum feigning arrogance in order to mask not bothering to do their reading before laying a vote down.Andycya (96) wrote:Oh I see now. Here's what I meant: I didn't know whether your post was serious or not, but I assumed not, since we were already discussing meatier events. However, You were making a very weird statement (vouching for his towniness). Since we were already discussing non-jokes I read it as stalling other discussions. However, seems like my own vote originated much more discussion topics.
Also, I don't like you claiming credit for starting discussion as a way of defending yourself rather than, for example, trying to better justify your vote on me or attack me further. It's like you attack me, then realise you're not going to get away with it that easily, then withdraw and start defending yourself and try to justify why your vote "prompted discussion" rather than say why you think you voted for scum (me).<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

I try to take all my mafia experience into consideration when I play any game.
The games that I spoke of were "all power" games. There weren't any "you are just town and all you can do is vote". Some people were immune to lynch, some immune to vig, others could block someone's actions. I wouldn't be surprised at all to run into these type of roles here on this site. It was just an idea of what MAY be, especially because this is a FANTASY themed mafia game.
It just may be worth the thought is all.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

Sudo, thank you for being more eloquent than I am. That's exactly what I was trying to say but I just couldn't get it to come out right.Sudo_Nym wrote:Alright, Zazier is making things interesting, no doubt.
I don't like the pile-on on Star. I think her "slip" was really quite innocent; I don't think she was advocating that we all claim, but rather that we should try and garner information. Given that the town starts in a massive information hole, I don't think that's a bad idea; it's just that the execution must be done carefully.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

ZazieR, in response to
You wrote quite a bit and I am still trying to catch up. Not condensing everything into one post is making it kind of hard to keep up. It's why I use Notepad to type up my posts before I post them.ZazieR wrote:You've got nothing to say about the posts I made?
Not even some answers?"
KMD and Andy are still high on my suspicions.
ZazieR wrote:Post 66 bothers me a lot. This is luckily questioned and Starbuck later gives some explanations:Star wrote:

The reason why this bothers me, is because she doesn't ask why. She saw two players being discussed, asked why not that one instead of him and that's it. Yet, for somebody who doesn't know how the players here play as scum or town (as she stated), I'd expect that she'd ask why Bear and Empking were being discussed. So Starbuck, why's that?Star wrote:
Because Emp was the other person recently being discussed.Goat wrote:Ok, but why specifically did you suggest Empking? Why didn't you instead say "shouldn't we be looking at Goat? or "shouldn't we be looking at KMD?" What made you pull Empking out of the pack?
First off, even though you know Orto as Bear and others as their real names, can you please refer to them as whatever name they are posting as rather than a name that's not being used in this game? It makes things confusing.
That's all I had meant my question as there were reasons put out against Orto and I had saw a bit of discussion about Emp, but no reasons.
Because I live in Italy because I'm stationed here with the Navy, and a lot of the time all I get to do is read to catch up and not add any posts of substance.ZazieR wrote:In post 148, Star finally states finally her suspicions.
-Why didn't you respond right after the posts where you got the quotes you put up in that post from, Star?

I did miss this original question and for that I apologize. Zazier's 5 billion posts didn't really help with trying to catch up, next time please use notepad.Goatrevolt wrote:
Comment on what? That Star missed a question? Did Star respond to the rest of the post as well? Missing a question isn't scummy. Lying about it is.ZazieR wrote:EBWOP
Also, the quote in the above post from Star, was in response to this post:
I see, I see what Goat didn't see and that's that Star missed a question.Kevin wrote:Star, taking shots at "everyone" is me thinking I have the 3 scum found and going after those three players. How am I being insulting or defensive?
Goat, you (or anyone else here) probably won't face my real wrath. I've been warned by a List Mod recently, but the game is ongoing. XD
Star, I'd say we should probably stop discussing roles that could be in the game. There is no reason to speculate on anyone's roles just yet.
So Star answer it, and Goat explain why you didn't comment on this.
I think it's way too early to state that you already found 3 scum and we are on day 1. I have my suspicions, but it doesn't mean I am completely sure of all of them.
I'm definitely very suspicious of ZazieR as he is throwing around accusations all over the place.
At least I'm not the only one getting these reads.ortolan wrote:I dislike that the most prominent posters are largely the ones giving me strong scummy reads.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

Catching the first scum gives you information to use in catching subsequent scum.
It's ok to look for connections. But the lynch needs to be the scummiest player, not a player who seems connected to someone.
This is the definite way to play this game.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

Apologies, playing catch up as I can. I had finals this week.
Off topic: I'm seriously playing too many games with the same people in them, lol.
It took Zazie forever to finally repost her questions for me. I didn't realize she had whole essays dedicated just to me. I'm rather flattered.
Because I saw the reasons why they were being discussed, why did I need to ask a question that was already answered?ZazieR wrote:First of all, the questions Star hasn't answered yet during my first read:

If you disagree, you try to stop it asap. So I want to hear why it's scummy according to her.
This is bad, because you are right, we'd be fighting an invisible enemy. All I did was bring up an idea because I wanted the opinions of everyone. I never said we had to do it.ZazieR wrote:Star, regarding the powerroles.
The scum know which powers they have. If our powerroles will claim, they will know what each player has as role and can take down the stronger ones.
We'll only know what our side has. So we'll be fighting an invisble enemy.
Is this good or bad according to you, and why?
I'm definitely leaning more towards Andy than KMD.ZazieR wrote:Second, questions that came later for Star:ZazieR wrote:

Zazie wrote:Anyway, yes she did ignore the question, and also this time didn't answer it as she didn't say how Kevin has been insulting or defensive.
Also, do you think it's scummy when a player claims to have all three scum caught on day 1? And why?
This question was for me? You were talking to someone else.
I think its good to have suspicions. I think it's rather overzealous to claim you caught three scum on day 1. I've thought people have been scum because they were acting scummy and have been proved wrong, but have also been proved right.
ZazieR wrote:

-Why didn't you respond right after the posts where you got the quotes you put up in that post from, Star?
-Why no vote on your top suspicion?

Why doesn't this matter anymore?Star wrote:I'm not sure which way we should be going as I have never played with any of you before. I don't know how you play when you are scum or when you are townie, and the same for everyone else.
I'm not sure what you are asking about. Can you refer me back to the page this is on? I can't seem to find it.ZazieR wrote:
This to me doesn't make sense at all. Kevin disagreed, which is why he responded. She later admits that he has a point, yet it's scummy to her that he 'quickly' jumped on.Star wrote:You have a point. All I was doing was discussing. But seeing how quickly you jumped, you just got a bit more of my suspicions.
Is the Navy part the explanation, or the part that you live in Italy? Or both?Star wrote:Because I live in Italy because I'm stationed here with the Navy, and a lot of the time all I get to do is read to catch up and not add any posts of substance.
One has two votes, the other one. Which would be more likely to vote if you suspect both?Star wrote:Because I'm not really sure which one I want to vote for yet, because I have two.
And explain why you stated that you had answered them all, while the last sentence in the linked post shows something different.ZazieR wrote:Last sentence of this post indicates to me that you know you haven't answered them all.
But I'll happily point those questions out when I'm done responding to other posts.
Because I thought I did answer them all. If you could condense your posts into one and not post 5 billion things all over the place, it wouldn't be so hard to try and answer every single one of your questions.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

You guys already were screaming that I was scum, wouldn't that just set everything off more?ZazieR wrote:Well, obv the count is incorrect as Goat unvoted Kevin >.<
Anyway, Star, why didn''t you claim you couldn''t vote before?
And I don''t want her to selfvote now. Only as last resort.
It's the reason I suggested revealing even a couple roles.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

And how so? When I tried to start bringing it up, by discussion of reveals/power roles, I immediately was scummy to mostly everyone, including yourself.ZazieR wrote:

I have given my opinions on who is scum.ZazieR wrote:
Then state who and why. You''re not lynched, so why don''t you voice your opinion?Starbuck wrote:Well now, you guys will never know.
I think there's quite a number of scum on my bandwagon. I hope the village takes note of who is on my bandwagon and who's votes switch (if they do) and line them up next for lynching.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

So why don't we lynch the lurker? Rather than someone who is actively posting and adding content?Goatrevolt wrote:I agree with most of what Channel said. Alright Village, lets get this show on the road.
The reason you couldn't lynch me is because it would take an extra vote to do so. I needed 8 instead of 7, but I wasn't going to reveal that because I didn't want the Mafia to know that.
This actually works out better because I can still help you guys (I already PM'd Sens to verify), because I'm not "technically dead" just injured.
I actually giggled when I saw that I was beaten up by Sudo, a fellow townie.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-

Before I was lynched I NEVER CLAIMED the second part of my role which was to need an extra vote for my lynch (8 rather than 7). I only claimed that my vote only counted when it was hammer.ortolan wrote:
Um, what???? I had repeatedly said I thought she was town (which is now vindicated). Of course her lynch was suboptimal. How can you possibly take issue with me saying that? I never wanted her lynched (well until she claimed one more vote to lynch and that she could only hammer; in my experience with completed games the latter feature was only present in a scum fake-claim in Sushi Mafia; which happened after this comment).Kmd (510) wrote: The vote on Star could go either way. That was the direction we were heading anyway, so I have no problem with the vote itself. What I don't like is how you separate yourself from the lynch by saying she is "very" far from optimal.
I told you all that after I was lynched so you could understand what had happened. I acted like I didn't know what was going on with the voting in hopes that you guys would actually believe me (which obviously, didn't work).
Knowing what I claimed (that my vote only counted when it was the hammer), how is refusing to hammer myself = to being scum? I would think it to be null-tell because I really don't know anyone scum or town that would hammer themselves unless they were VI.ortolan wrote:
I was trying to get her to out herself as scum by refusing to self-hammer. My intentions were mistaken, as I later realised, because if she didn't one more person had to vote for her, which would necessarily give us more information. So, yes, I was mistaken. However you don't actually explain how these actions were scummy. What motivation would I have, as scum, for saying something which looks anti-town like that but doesn't actually accomplish anything beyond making people suspect me more?Kmd (510) wrote:And then asking her to self-hammer is just weird.. You say only scum wouldn't self hammer, but why? Town should VERY rarely self-hammer. This was not a time for that.<3 Kise, Reck, dram, tans, & Kats <3-
