Is there any particular reason for one of those two votes? It looks kind of curious, two votes for me right after each other. Or are you the cure, talitha, and do you have to repeat the last vote?

I hate it when he does it, but I'm inclined to mimic Dragon Phoenix here. That sentence just looks all off. I'm not going to vote on it though.Talitha wrote:Besides.. how you you know I didn't have a reason and chose not to say?

Well, captain, I don't know what to say. Tally's post gave me a gut feeling, which I didn't want to vote on, but did make me suspicious of her. Hence the FOS. Seeing as how it gave me a gut feeling and nothing more, I couldn't give any reasons why it had that effect on me. I could have stayed quiet, but that doesn't work for me. Staying quiet is the death of mafia games.
That answers three of your four points. The bit about DP i put in there was to make the post a bit more light hearted.
Regarding banter: You should try it, it's great.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

Appearantly I'm very scummy, but can someone please take the time to talk about it properly instead of ignoring my response (captain) or just saying it confirms my scumminess (fuldu)?
I'll respond to the accusations again:
You never have gut feelings? You'd rather I'd stay quiet?Captain wrote:Saying a post is "scummy" or "off" without saying why.... check
Explained before you posted this. I didn't want to vote because it was only a gut feeling.Captain wrote:Calling another player suspicious but not voting for them... check
Again, you'd rather have me stay quiet? Or you'd rather see unfounded votes?Captain wrote:Using an FOS early on in Day One.... check
Never seen that being pulled. DP votes on gut feeling, I didn't so it's not even my behaviour we're talking about here. And once again, that was included to keep the post a bit light hearted.Captain wrote:Trying to cover your behavior by claiming an experienced player does it... checkDisclaimer: Not an actual claim. Ok, we've expanded my one sentence to a huge post. And you're reading way too much into it. I can't defend against this, because I absolutely don't agree with the basis of your accusations, which are those classic mafia blunders you're referring to.
If the town feels I'm scum, then come on and pile on those votes. Arguing along these lines is useless.
Contradiction #1: Please give quotes on both sides of your equation. You can't.
Contradiction #2: Random voting is some silly habit. It's not a serious vote. Any vote past that is serious in my book.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

Regarding quagmire, I'm a little worried about post 33. In that post he's taken some quotes out of their context. For example,
was definately made in jest. I can't quite make up my mind wether quag quoted that as an example in jest as well.Talitha wrote: Yep, don't be like me and throw a vote out there for "no reason". I took the time to carefully read back my posts and have to say I see your point.Fuldu wrote:As for what about your response I found the most troubling, it was largely the attitude that you raised in grumbling about how silence is the death of mafia games and how banter is fun and CB ought to try it. It's not simply you telling him that he's wrong; it's actually more in the direction of you accusing him of conspiring to ruin the game, though not that direct or severe. In my experience, scum are more likely to overact to accusations and respond with wholly disproportionate arguments and attitude than town.
My apologies for the tone of those posts.
My banter comment was meant to be a light-hearted note in that message, but I can see how it might seem how you've interpreted it. The silence = death of mafia was a huge overstatement and was definately not meant as an accusation towards the captain.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

To clarify: This statement was not intended as a defence for astronaut. To use the words of someone:CB: If you're going to paraphrase, be more precise. He didn't say he's voting you for suggesting tally and me are suspicious.
Insecure paraphrasing (read: twisting facts) is a classic mafia blunder.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

Because I'm getting more and more convinced you're scum. I'll try to put a detailed post together later today.CB wrote:at this point I'm wondering... if random voting is a "silly habit" and he's not trying to accuse me of anything, why is his vote still on meDisclaimer: Not an actual claim. Well, I spent some time composing a nice detailed affair accusing our captain, when I realised I was mostly attacking his playing style.
unvote
One thing that stood out though, is that the captain is not very accurate. The quote he gave explaining his paraphrase was made after the paraphrasing itself. I understand that the paraphrasing was meant to describe what the captain thought astronaut was saying, but fact is it said astronaut had said it.
roleclaim coming within a few hours if I'm still on three votes than.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

Well, here's what you've all been waiting for:
no claim as of yet
The last statement by talitha is a good one I think.
Appearantly you don't need a sidekick. That line looks fine to me.What, no counter-attack? How can I learn to banter if you don't give me any material?Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

CB is mostly making an argument in such a way that people can't help but respond. Responding equals posting which equals opportunities to make yourself look bad. I can go and post reasons why CB could be scum, as he's posted loads. But I won't as I'm not convinced he actually is a bad guy.Quagmire wrote:Captain Blicero makes a pretty well-reasoned argument against Tal, Astro, and mepmuff.
Your post, on the other hand, looks like a try to cash in on what would be a huge blunder by any scum.vote: Quagmire. With your last post I'm convinced your fixation on Tally is just a way to try and hide in the crowds.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

Doesn't this go for any which bandwagon? I find it rather interesting that quagmire is focussing on tally with a pitbull-like mindset and that the_machine86 is defending quagmire so intensely. You do realize what that's going to look like if quagmire turns out to be scum? You do realize how suspicous this is going to look if he does turn out to be good.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. I think it's a shame now that quag didnt join the wagon on me. That would have left me with a nice place for my vote. But since him not voting me actually makes him look quite good, I'm going to stick up for quag now in the voting department as well. Besides there's still that wishy-washy FOS I need to turn into a vote...

What's wrong with that reasoning? I know I'm a good guy, I had my vote on quagmire who was under mild pressure in total and it would be really easy for him to put me under big pressure by voting for me, which he didn't. If quagmire is a bad guy, I can't see why he wouldn't. This puts him quite a bit in the clear as far as I'm concerned and I don't see how that reasoning is flawed.Fuldu wrote:With reasoning like this available to vote against, I still can't understand why anyone would prefer to have their vote on Talitha or Quagmire
I also think it's interesting to note that a bit more pressure on talitha results in both fuldu and the captain promoting their bandwagon against me some more.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. (Save The Dragons in Peacecity 1)-

You're turning things around here. My vote was on quagmire. I unvoted because he didn't vote for me. Please get your facts straight.Astronaut wrote:So the only reason you're not voting for him is because he isn't voting for you? If you really find him scummy, it would be a lot more helpful to town if you voted for him instead of waiting for him to vote you first. Not a good play IMHO.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim. I'm Daryl Hall, your cop for this game. Last night I found Fabrice Morvan, a member of milli vanilli. I would call Milli Vanilli evil, but seeing how the role is related to songs by the artists, I think that person is clear. I'm going to have to think on whether I should give you guys the player name, I think I should as that gives the rest of the villagers two nights without getting killed, but things are looking grim.Disclaimer: Not an actual claim.
