I've had a class all day today. I started a catch-up.txt Friday while here at work and I'm only around page 3 or 4. I was planning to forward it to myself at home to finish today.

But if people are going to still vote for me because of Monkey's scummy ass behavior and thus lynch me, there's no reason to put any time into a catch up that will just go to waste, whether or not I help my fellow townies with it.

I apologize for not being able to catch up. I was thrown into a class for work this week (I'm military) that I didn't think would take up this much of my time.

At this point, I probably couldn't say anything to get the lynch off me.

But I am the song "Hello, Goodbye" and I am a townie.

Mod: If I had known that a request for a deadline extension would get denied with so many people still catching up, I never would have replaced in.

I am on my lunch break and for those of you who have no understanding of my situation. Here it is.

I am in the United States Navy and I am stationed in Sicily. I read through a bit of the game last Friday, but I didn't start working on a text document Catch up post until I finally received my Role PM (which ended up being late Sunday night for me). I don't have much written out, but I want to post my entire catch up in one big post. People who have played with me before and have experience with me replacing in would understand this.

I am military. I have been in the United States Navy for just about 6 1/2 years. I got told at the end of Friday that I had to start a class on Monday for Auxiliary Security Forces. I work for our base's Security Department and it's more like sustainment training for me, but this class takes up 12-14 hours of my day now for the next 3 weeks or so. I've been getting home from work and going straight to bed.

I also am in a college calculus class right now that is once a week (every Thursday) for 5 hours (5 to 10 pm, my time). So after tonight, I will have the weekend.

I have a 96 hour liberty this weekend (4 day weekend) and I had planned to catch up completely with the time I'll have starting tomorrow. This is why I was asking for an extension. I haven't sat down at a computer for more than 15-20 minute intervals all fucking week.

The mod and I can't seem to come to an understanding and it's pretty much guaranteed now that I won't be completely caught up before deadline.

I apologize for wasting everyone's time. Next time, it might behoove a good lot of you to think that maybe there are people out there who do have circumstances that will keep them from getting caught up. Anyone who normally plays with me or knows me from me being on this site for the past year would know that if I am asking for an extension, it's because something has come up. And that if the military tells me to jump, I do it.

I did have the time when I signed up, and I will have the time to catch up starting tomorrow for my 4 day weekend.

Being a jerk because I have had a fucking rough couple of days isn't helping the situation either.

I only got my Role PM late Sunday night. So whether or not, I replaced in on Friday doesn't even matter. I wasn't going to post anything game related without knowing my role.

WTF. I can play. I don't normally get tossed into classes like this all that often. It just so happened that it had to happen this week, which is why I was asking for a deadline extension so that I can participate and hopefully steer my fellow townies in the right direction.

I didn't put myself in this situation. I told the mod on Friday that I wanted to get in. I was awaiting my role PM and didn't receive it until Sunday night. I would have had something up over the weekend HAD I HAD MY ROLE PM. The site screwed up and somehow it didn't get to me. And that happens, it's understandable.

But you going out of your way to be a pompous ass about it right now isn't helping anything.

That's not the case though. You are not understanding me AT ALL. I've been playing on this site for the past almost year and a half. Unfortunately, things do come up for people, which is why I asked for a deadline extension.

I didn't mean to fuck anyone over. That wasn't my goal AT ALL.

What do you think I've been trying to do? If I wasn't trying to keep my commitment, I wouldn't be here arguing with the mod about extending the deadline, so that I can take the time to thoroughly read and give the town my scum reads.

I am trying my damnedest to do the right thing, and you sitting here berating me about how you feel I'm not, isn't helping this situation in the least.

I have to go to class. When I get home, I will be finishing catching up and will have a post up hopefully before I go to bed or at the latest tomorrow morning.

I have PM'd mith about this entire situation to see if something can be handled correctly and fairly.

I was gonna swear Vas was scum with how much he didn't want to give me a chance to catch up. I'd say pretty much that Monkey sealed the fate of my role slot.
