The final day of the

Steam Super Sexy Simmering Summer Sundown Sale

has just ended, and Kill3rFi5h88's game library is full to bursting. You might think this would be cause to rejoice - all those games, nestled together in mutual respect for each others' genres. Over there, the wise old Strategy games survey the landscape. Here, the Fighting games are having a brawl. A Racing game zips by, nearly running over a dozing Casual game.

And, indeed, most of the games are having fun.

But in a dark corner of the library, a small group of games are murmuring to themselves. They don't have Store pages to keep people updated about their hip new content. They don't have Steam Achievements to brag about how quickly they beat the final boss. And when the library is arranged according to metascore, they fall right to the bottom.

Amongst these evil games, jealousy reigns supreme. With all these flashy new games prancing about, they've been pushed over the edge. They devise a cunning plan that will change Kill3rFi5h88's game library...forever!

All it takes is a little click.

Terms and Conditions

Please read over the rules carefully. I've

things that may be specific to this game for skimmers' convenience.

On Gameplay

• 1. I have the final say in any form of dispute.
  2. Although I am a handsome moderator, I am not infallible. Feel free to point out any mistake by PMing me or by a bolded message in thread.
  3. The moderator likes
  Pansy Purple (#8800BF)
  for important things. Don't use that colour. This is a modkillable offense.
  4. All game-related communication between the mod and players STAY between the mod and the players. Breaking this rule results in copious modkills.
  5. All game-related communication between players STAY in the thread
  unless explicitly stated otherwise
  . Talking about the game outside of the thread without the mod's approval is a modkillable offense.
  6. Falsifying the mod is a modkillable offense. I am the judge of whether I have been falsified or not.
  7. Small or invisible text as a secret communication is disallowed.
  Cryptography is also disallowed.
  
  8. Loopholes are bad and dick-ish. Modkills may ensue.
  9. Modkills revert the player's role into a Neutral Survivor. The player then dies a painful death, losing the game for themselves and embarrassing their family.

On Voting, Activity and Deadlines

• 1. Please aim to post at least once a day. (The more the merrier!)
  2. V/LAs are to be announced in thread and bolded.
  3. Players who don't post in
  48 hours
  will be prodded. Players have 24 hours to respond to a prod or they will be force replaced. Players may request prods on a specific player via a bolded message in thread.
  4. A 'three strikes and you're out' rule on prods and replacement is enforced. That is, three prods and you're force replaced.
  5. This game has
  two week deadlines
  at the beginning of each game day. Keep in mind that your mod is a very busy (and very handsome) man, so I may be a little flexible on this to allow myself time to sleep. There will be deadline countdowns to help enforce timely conduct.
  6. Votes/Unvotes may be done either by bolding your Votes or using Vote tags. If you don't use tags, colons (:) make my life a lot easier. Usernames may be shortened but it has to be easily discernible. Example: VOTE: AV (although I don't know WHY you'd ever want to vote AV)
  7. Unvotes are nice but not required.
  8. Lynches need a majority (half the number of living players +1) to go through
  unless explicitly stated otherwise
  .
  9. A No lynch needs 50% of the votes.
  10. A No Lynch will happen at deadline without a full lynch majority.
  11. Once you're dead, please don't post
  unless explicitly allowed by the mod
  .
  I will allow one Bah! style post
  , so long as it contains no game related information.
  12. The Lynched may speak during Twilight (ie. before the mod posts the death scene).
  13. Play to win!

Clarity Rules

This is a subset of rules for theme games that moderators can add on to their normal rules. It was designed to help minimize swing in theme games and reduce some of the vagaries of moderator preference/implementation. The idea is to give players a baseline set of information so they can focus on the mechanics of the theme without having to worry about extraneous factors that can over-complicate games.

• 1. This is a 13p Mini Theme.
  2. There are no third parties, cults or jesters.
  3. The setup is 10:3.

Countless times, the game had been updated, as new DLC was released, downloaded and installed.
Alas, all of those patches had left a sore mark on the rest of the games, who had seen his constant flirtation with the Steam Servers as a precursor to total library domination.
But he was certainly not a part of any gunpowder, treason or plot.
His protestations fell on deaf ears. His combo bar blinked emptily, his last ducat was spent; and he crashed to the ground.

What was more worrying was the fact that a simple reboot didn't solve the problem.
He scoured the help forums for a solution, but came up empty. He felt like he had been abandoned.

Until he saw that little icon blinking in taskbar.
That tiny little folder, containing treasures he had not touched for what seemed longer than aeons.
Tentatively, he clicked. It blossomed open, listing all the glorious games he had purchased or downloaded away from Steam. All the games he had long forgotten, without their damnable insistence on internet connectivity, without the hassle of Friends peeking at his every activity, without the interminable seconds that it took to load the update window that obscured the frankly ugly platform that housed his games.

There was minimal flavour for the miller -- my original thinking was along the lines of being a "good" old game was equatable to the good guys, e.g. town. I think it got further fucked up in that Monkey didn't realise GoG was a website with games on, and so he claimed a game that wasn't on there ._." But I should've made that more explicit in the role PM. I did try to word everything in the OPs to make it clear that it wasn't a case of straight Steam vs Non Steam with the "aligned" marker, but I can see how that might have been confusing.

So I'll get all the actions and Role PMs up for y'all, I think the QTs have already been posted.

I believe scum picked their night actions very well. Kanye died with a guilty, and Kats held off on the RB until it really mattered.
The "Nervous" mechanic on the cop was meant to discourage follow-the-cop seeing as scum only had one RB. It never really came into use anyway.
Hindu was incredibly unlucky despite getting the hammer three days running - Chaos getting lynched D1 meant that there was no one to use his role on, and N2-3 he got roleblocked by town and scum respectively.
CD messing up his claim (tracker instead of watcher) probably didn't help. It will frustrate you to know, though, that Robo didn't action N1 anyway, so you would've No Result'd out even if you were a tracker >_>
kcda/kmd's role ("Silencer") was meant to shut scum QTs down but since it could also interfere with the Neighbour QT, I thought that it might cause some interesting twists. But it was never used either.
Konowa had a troll/WIFOM role, he had Godfather but I knew that would leave him vulnerable to massclaim in a Role Madness game. He could prevent the "prime/burn" effect (which was ThAd's third skill choice), which I thought - if ThAd had taken it - would throw SK wifom into the mix...forgetting that I'd already confirmed no third parties >_> That said, Hindu could've gained use of the extra kill, so Konowa could've become effectively a mafia doctor.
ThAd was allowed to choose NK flavour each night with the skill he chose, but again, with the confirmation of no third parties, that was probably not that useful. It was never used either.
Phil requested "Realistic Mode" after I made a joke to him in PM. In Crysis Realistic Mode, the enemies speak Korean...hence all my communications with him were in Korean. He misinterpreted the first message and thought HE had to post in Korean or face a modkill! It was quite amusing to see until it almost caused an exodus of the playerlist...
I thought CO's revelation of his Portalness was going to save him but he still got thrown into a fire

Overall I had great fun with the flavour, especially the prods and the little update messages :p

Okay now: as for the final day.
I've seen mods send out massprods and asking their players to post more in situations like that (slow/sparse posting) but on a theory point, do you believe the mod should do that? I felt it was my duty to prod appropriately, and when I saw how close the deadline was, I felt it necessary to remind you all, but if town - and scum - are willing to let the game go that way, is it the mod's place to interfere?
