Robo I was moving a little more toward town, but his keeping his vote on Monkey while defending Chaos keeps him leaning scum.

CoolDog's "CONVINCE ME!" posts seem to indicate a reluctance to vote Chaos also.

Probably my next thing will be to compare the Early Chaos runup to L-1 to this current wagon and maybe try to find the differences. It'll be useful no matter how he flips.

Similar to hindu's role I was given 3 options at start and had to choose one, each with a basic ability and an extra one I would have access to if I hammered:

Alchemist
Summon Alchemical Golem (bulletproof vest, breaks after x hits)
If I hammer - Ember Sentry (paranoid gun owner, that night only)

Destroyer
Frost Shield (takes 1 more vote to lynch)
If I hammer - Devastate (I also kill the person with next most votes, only can be used once)

Vanquisher
Explosive Shot (1 shot vig)
If I hammer - Shock Trap (I can place a PGO ability on someone else for one night, but not myself)

I chose the first ability set. I chose primarily for the first/basic ability and didn't put much stock in the "if you hammer" abilities, which I felt I wouldn't be able to reliably get (especially once other people, such as hindu, claimed they also had roles which required them to hammer). Ability set 2 I ruled out pretty quickly because the "extra 1 to lynch" I don't think would have helped much, and the hammer ability felt way to random. I eventually chose 1 over 3 for 2 reasons: I haven't had the best record with vig roles in the past, and I liked the assurance that I would survive pretty far in to the game if I choose the first one. Role 3 is probably the most powerful, but I was cowardly and chose the "safe" option.

@ThAd- you say you chose one ability. Was that at the beginning of the game, when a certain event happened, or do you get to chose a new one each night?- NM- saw were you said chose at game beginning. I'm ltr.

@Konowa-What caused you to "activate" N2? NM...nurse=backup doc. What is the basis of the jellfish juice, and what are "prime" effects? Was that something you chose in the beginning like ThAd?

@CoolDog- you have all three of those abilities? And have not yet used the bus driver? And Robo died a tracker, why did you track him to nowhere n1 when there is the assumption he used his ability?

@Phil-can you elaborate on your abilities? you can use one at a time, but may use them more than once? How do you "reduce damage" from a vote? What conditions are the conditionals?

@Hindu- can you also clarify your role? You seem to have 4 abilites, or can do 4 things. And you seem to know more about these conditions, since you've labeled them "doublevoter", "gain-dead-people's-ability", and "random-ability". Can you explain this familiarity?

I can indeed use the more than once, but not on successive nights. Reduced damage from votes has already been explained, and elaborating any further would be an excellent way to lose the game outright. The conditions are already known for the doublevote (first vote of the day), and there is no way I'm revealing what the condition for my commute is.

Would you kindly avoid voting me altogether unless there are enough pseudovotes saying they want a lynch to actually lynch me? If I get voted but not lynched, bad things happen.

I'll do a full intended post translation later, when I have more town. For now, I'm sort of permanently hated. It is recommended against voting for me so that I don't... well, die. My apologies for everything.

For now, I still reckon that monkey is town purely on instinct at this point. Also because Timeater's explanation of what is scum and what isn't handily includes the example scum fakeclaim as a definite scum role. As for towny but non-steam games, give the following a thought (although I'm struggling to come up with a flavour explanation for this particular one): Minecraft. Mojang and Valve are on friendly terms- in fact, both have outright advertised each others' games. There was briefly discussion of minecraft coming to steam, and based on some more recent tweets from Notch, there may be further discussion of it going on behind the scenes. As such, I'd say that Minecraft, as an example alone, would be aligned with steam, even if it weren't a steam game itself.

ChaosOmega and Timeater are horrible, and I like Timeater less at the moment just because he's being vocal as well as... well, the best description I could give is tunnel-visioned, to be honest. It's not what I mean, but it's as close as I can get.

Completely and utterly shit play on my part.
I got every scum and townread absolutely and utterly wrong.
The only exceptions were Kcad/kmd (pointless) and Hindu (pointless).

My first time ever neighborizing scum as town (based on wrong read, of course).

CoolDog's claim retraction looked like a slip, and I thought ThAd's claim detail was another proof he was town (very wrong all the way through on that).

But even though I sucked, I liked the setup and flavor. I almost wanted to be prodded to unlock all the achievements.
