Voting/Player Actions:

- All votes must be in bold format: vote: Nexus for example.
- Try to unvote before voting. Unvotes must also be in bold.
- Any and all votes will be counted, if you wish to waste a day phase voting for someone not in the game,that's fine by me.
- You may vote No Lynch.
- Voting tricks are not acceptable. If you misspell someone's name intentionally, but I get the gist of it, the vote will count.
- A lynch will occur once a majority decision is reached. If no majority is reached by deadline, then no lynch shall occur.
- Following a lynch, it is twilight. You may continue to post until I lock the thread and declare it night.
- If you are killed, one Bah! type post is permitted. No game related information must be relayed during them, however.
- If you have a Night Action, you may submit it from Night 1 and each subsequent Night. No other time.

Activity:

- You are expected to post at least once every 48 hours. If you haven't posted for 48 hours, I shall prod you. If you do not respond to the prod within 48 hours (either in thread if it's Day, or via PM during the Night) then I will replace you.
- Similarly, if you require more than three prods, I will force-replace you.

- Confirm by how your Role PM tells you to once you are ready to play. Once there are 17 confirms, the game begins.

- No impossible/hard to read text, or cryptography.
- The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
- If there is a hydra in the game, you must not post in your normal account. Doing so and then not quoting it as a hydra will invite a warning. Excessive failure to post as a hydra and not quoting it will result in force-replacement.

Hogwarts

The moon glinted over the Astronomy Tower, as Nearly Headless Nick looked out over the Hogwarts grounds. He could see right to the very edges of the Forbidden Forest, across the lake, and all around the inner sanctum of the school. This place had been his home for hundreds of years, and he couldn't think of anywhere else he'd rather be. Sighing deeply, the ghost floated off and down the tower, making his way to the Great Hall. There was, as usual, a feast on, to welcome the new students to Hogwarts. There had been rumours of The Boy Who Lived making an appearance this year, and Nick was determined to watch him be sorted into Gryffindor.

As he floated down, he went past the third-floor corridor that Dumbledore had told everyone, including the ghosts, to avoid. He knew what was in there, of course, but he still respected Dumbledore's wishes. As the official ghost of Gryffindor, one had to have a certain sense of decorum and social responsibility. He smiled, as he wondered if any young witch or wizard would meet with an untimely end. He hoped if they did, they would be a Slytherin child. Say what you want about the Slytherins, they were all usually awful. Nick shrugged his pearly-white shoulders. After all, what did you expect when the ghost was the Bloody Baron?

As Nick floated down towards the Main Entrance, Filch was running around, muttering under his breath. "Fanged Frisbees....Gobstones....need to tell the Headmaster..." Nick didn't stop to chat, instead continuing on his way towards where the raucous noise was coming from. He smiled as he reached the Great Hall - the Sorting hadn't begun yet. However, Nick hesitated a moment, and instead took a detour. There had been rumours of something in the dungeons, and since he now had time, he wanted to check them out.

Nick didn't return.

The students were bustling out of the Great Hall, making a ridiculous amount of noise, as per tradition. The welcoming feast was over, and Percy Weasley couldn't believe two things: one, that Dumbledore's words of greeting were so ridiculously mental, and two, that Harry Potter had not only arrived at Hogwarts, but he was also in Gryffindor. The Prefect rubbed his hands in glee at the prospect of looking after The Boy Who Lived.

He snapped sharply at a little Hufflepuff who was pushing his way through the crowds. "Oi, stop that. The school rules state an orderly dismissal from the Great Hall." The Hufflepuff looked back at him, and stuck his tongue out, so Percy set off in hot pursuit.

"Excuse me, Prefect coming through, get out of the way."

He finally emerged from the scrum into the Main Entrance Hall, and glanced over at the hourglasses which signified House Points. He smiled, as he realised that this year, perhaps Gryffindor actually had a chance of winning the House Cup. His smile was only brief, however, as he saw the robes of the young Hufflepuff disappear around the corner.

"Hmm. That's strange. I thought that the Hufflepuff common room was near the kitchens..." Percy murmured to himself, as he continued to chase. "I say, young man, come back here!"

The student ignored Percy, and the red-headed Gryffindor felt his anger rising up. "I AM A HOGWARTS PREFECT, AND YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME."

He walked around another corner, and was ambushed by a group of people. He didn't recognise them.

Later that evening, his absence was noted, and when other Prefects went looking for him, they found him hung from a chandelier, robes over his head. It wasn't a pleasant sight.

She walked out of her office, and down the corridor. It was dark, so she muttered "Lumos", and her wand tip lit up. She stalked up the stairs, towards the Gryffindor common room. She never arrived.

As he walked down the corridors, Harry Potter was faced with stares. He was faced with stairs too, considering how tall Hogwarts was, but it was mainly the stares from his peers that bothered him. Also the whispers. The pointing. The giggling. He just felt like turning around and saying "YES I'VE GOT A FUCKING SCAR AND I FUCKING DEFEATED THE FUCKING DARK LORD, BIG FUCKING WHOOP, FUCK OFF," but as this is Harry Potter and it's supposed to be a kid's book so instead he just walked past, ignoring them.

The mutterings got more and more severe though as rumours began to spread. Rumours like "oh he doesn't even go here" and "too gay to function," and he didn't know how to deal with it. After all, his two friends had the emotional range of the tea spoon, his head of house had been killed, and his family were dead. In the end the pressure got too much for Harry and he started to go a bit mental. General muttering to himself to begin with, but eventually it got to the point where he became too dangerous to live. So he was collected by a lot of people and they strung him up from a floating chandelier in the Great Hall.

"Yes your bloodiness, I'll leave you alone now," Peeves muttered to himself, as he gesticulated rudely at the back of the Bloody Baron. He sighed as he zoomed off, trying to find somewhere else to make mischief. He decided to listen out and see if he couldn't hear Mrs. Norris somewhere, she would be game for a laugh to wind up.

He floated down the corridors, keeping an ear out for Filch, until he found Mrs. Norris prowling the corridors near the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. Preparing his loudest fart noise, Peeves put his hands to his mouth and blew. That was the last action he took, as the next morning his body (somehow) was found.

Eventually, bewitching snowballs to bounce off the turban of Professor Quirrell was bound to piss him off. Particularly considering the fact Lord Voldemort's head was grafted to Quirrell's, and hidden by the turban. Similarly, playing really rubbish practical jokes would upset people. Also, trolls don't really give a flying damn who they kill.
