In post 2725, F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:So, maybe you should be giving him consideration based on VI-ness Ffery. I'd be interested in your thoughts on his meta.

My thoughts are that his play as town comes off scummy to a lot of players. Maybe including me. My initial reaction based on a meta skim was that this could be another in a growing line of towns that mislynch him.

His play absolutely gives me hives though, from that early post where he talked about "to my advantage". I can't imagine ever posting something like that as any alignment unless maybe I were a claimed 3rd party with a neutral wincon, and even then I'd probably say it as a contrast to what I was actually doing, e.g., "x would be to my personal advantage, but I did y because I'm going all in for a shared win with town."

It's a statement I have difficulty mapping to town motivation. And it was said utterly unselfconsciously. even after I called the post out he saw nothing wrong or odd about it.

So.

I guess I want more time to figure him out. There's an opportunity for this to be the first town to sort town-him accurately - if he is town.

Ok.

I think that fits the rest of what I learned.

F-16 and I share a house.

We had 2 visitors last night. I chased the kidnapper out of the house - with a knife in hand. When I came back into the house both F-16 and the other visitor, whom I assume is Nashville, were gone.

I didn't learn anything detailed about the 2nd visitor. Just that there was one, and that they were gone when I went back into the house.

well, my townread of you was initially based on your interactions with tammy in this game, and how they were shaped by vesperia but not a rehash.

it is directed to you (and to Nashville if it isn't already answered), in that maybe you know? You've got that cool list going.

Interns, on air personalities, techies, executives. What is the narrative aspect of Nashville's role? How are they connected to the station? Are they a news cameraman? something else?

I'm kinda waiting for Majiffy to put something in the thread, and for Oka to respond to your posts.

On the face of it, I feel like Anatole's claim doesn't fit balance wise.

Your question about why Anatole seems more interested in bork than he does you is pretty thought provoking though.

I've been pondering if I've done that as either alignment. The only times I've discounted or ignored conftown is when I didn't value their opinion for one reason or another. I don't think that fits what's going on here.

Not at daystart. Stuff happened to me and f-16 last night, and I wanted to be sure it was all claimed and the claims lined up with what we learned before dropping the mason claim into the game.

In the most recent game I played with scum majiffy, he "scumread" me all game, but always pushed someone else.

sadly, I did the same with him.

I need to think about some of his other replace-ins, especially town ones. This feels like lazy play to me.

But, I do like the way he went about retracting the 5-off claim.

However, Majiffy missing stuff (like missing that he's the only living intern today and posting in the intern thread), I have seen him (apparently, or pretend to) miss stuff about lynched players in at least one other game where he didn't get active until day 3. He was a hydra in that game.

just opened today? what are you talking about? The game day started about 3 days after you replaced in.

I'll cede the point though, if you like.

I think you would have at least scoped the game day enough to figure out who an easy mislynch would be if you're scum, though. If you're SK, then you kinda need for there to be a scum player alive to go after tomorrow, rather than lynched today.

Plus there's a fair bet of setup info that suggests you couldn't be groupscum.

Okay, regardless of which head you are. I don't see how this makes it null. Jiffy came in and started instantly tunneling Bork which reminded me how he just did it to me in the Micro. I don't see how it's null because he was town there and not scum. Also he did something similar to Shos in Inyusha which furthers my belief that Jiffy is just being really stubborn town.

I think if the sk were some sort of neutral party or had a wincon that was vaguely town compatible today would have been the day to out that.

It hasn't been, and ultimately that makes prioritizing one over the other less of a concern to me.

I thought maybe you were saying 5-off/majiffy town there, which seemed like a new idea. your clarification resolved that.

3) Seems to actually be interested in narrowing the lynch pool where I would expect an SK to possibly go with the flow on a day like today where lynching anybody but him is generally good

I asked you why you thought Majiffy was head and shoulders better than Anatole today, and I would like you to talk about that now.
You still think Majiffy is groupscum, no?

-b

I don't think he's "head and shoulders" better. I feel like Anatole is a little more likely to be an SK.

Have you played with scum-majiffy and seen a lack of acerbity?

Your 2 is a good point.

I haven't really seen 3 but I'll go back and look for it.

Like, what part of anything that I've said, especially in the quoted text, implied that I ever declared or acted as though I was sure there was another vig? You and F-16 are really frustrating because you're either oblivious to everything I'm saying or you're trying really hard to twist innocuous thing to fit a narrative you've already decided on.

Ok. I'm not implying you were "sure". So, how about "Hey there might be another vig."

I have toyed with different thoughts about what could have happened to F-16. And I worry I'm doing too much setup spec and bastard whatever theorizing.

I'm a little worried this is town Majiffy not giving a shit, but not all that much. Scum had 2 votes yesterday. I keep thinking they could have maybe rescued MaraCeph if it was a town/scum counterwagon thing.

I was looking outside specific players for something to explain what was happening to you even while I was in the game, but I don't think I would have figured this out. I was paying no attention at all to the letters popping up in the death scene flavors.

I was leery of talking about the pieces I was thinking about in the game thread because I thought it could lead to you getting lynched and I didn't think you were the SK.

Anyway, as different people started to suspect and figure out pieces of the puzzle I was impressed and hopeful. I think town was much further along the trail than I would have managed if I were still in the game. On the outside, knowing it was all town on day 4, it was a little painful to watch.

That's not what I meant at all. I had zero intention of suggesting you be lynched.
