Well the alignment claiming idea helped.
Ric I don't see that as a survivor claim.

By "who I am aligned with" I'm pretty sure she just means her faction.
a lover can be simply aligned with their lover...
What?
Lovers are still aligned with town, mafia etc...

Pedit: farside, if you meant KCC, i think her post 49 sucks but it isn't like really alignment indicative? Also, if a town player, the same player if scum could have the same thoughts as you looking at the same post.

So, why didn't you claim yours?
In post 24, Soren wrote:In post 11, Ricastle wrote:VOTE: Enomis
As these discards look pretty mediocre, to get the ball rolling, why don't we all reveal the card we used for our alignment? Would anyone be up for that?
This is kinda scummy. In the other greatest idea mafia game i played someone suggested something similar and it was shot down. Since the more cards you reveal, the easier it would be for scum to know what cards are already used, and can therefore fake claim.
Why are you asking people to reveal their alignment card?
Soren, the people who shot it down with that argument were all scum. -Because it really is the best thing to do here.
Yes, I did propose that claim as the SK, but only because it's the first thing I would have done as town, and wanted to earn some points by saying it first. The moment I was given the opportunity, I turned around and started fighting against it. -Not because I suddenly realized how dangerous it was for the town, but because of how dangerous it is for the scum.
Anyway, I got my alignment from Conspiracy Theorist.

I didn't consider there would be any significant advantage to scum but you raise a fair point about the ability to fakeclaim.
In post 15, Ricastle wrote:You might as well have outright claimed Survivor, as any other faction in the game is anti-town. Why didn't you just fake a town card?
Also, I'm the one that suggested the mass alignment card claim. Why specifically don't you like it?
In post 228, KittyCupCake wrote:In post 217, elusive wrote:Kitty, if by some of chance she's scum and now you've been converted into scum or goo then would you really tell us?
If she really is Goo, and I'm converted to Cult, then yes, I'd definitely claim that -since I'd bet that more than half the players in a GIM game have targeted abilities, and therefore we could win an easy cult victory together.
VOTE: Unvote
In post 231, KittyCupCake wrote:
Since you have no targeted abilities that you can use on her effectively, then yes, lynching her is the best play for you, since you're looking at a nearly certain loss to the cult otherwise.
As someone with such an ability, however, I'm definitely going to try being the cult, rather than losing to it.
In post 237, Ninja Boy Hideo wrote:I don't think a willingness to jump ship and go for a cult win shows a lack of town motivation. That temptation would be there for any alignment. tbh its more of an ethical/play-to-win issue than anything else.
I'm leaning towards it being another bs fakeclaim. i think ill close the thread for the night and see what the new developments are in the morning. Please no one do anything stupid like drop a hammer.

1) I don't believe she is town
2) even if the idea is to keep her alive how many people do you trust not to target her after what you and Kcc stated or trust you 2 not to target her.
1. Why don't you believe she is town?
2. I see a lot of people who are against the idea of becoming a cult.

Can we not lynch town please
you will be lynching someone who seems to have started as town today.
Either the "threat" generator in Jeanne
or waste a dag vig shot and have someone become former town...
It is one or the other. It is clear you want her around to try and get a cult win...
No it is not that I want to keep her so I can get a cult win.
In my last GIM game town lynched scum everyday but town still lost. Why? Because there were too many scum in the game. Every single town member we have is crucial and should be kept alive at all cost if we want to stand a chance at preventing scum from outnumbering us. Especially when we don't know how many scum are in this game.
In post 320, Ninja Boy Hideo wrote:Soren justify your town read. Then I'll explain why we are still lynching her anyway.

dont see the KCC votes here bc don't think that going for cult wincon is indicative of scum
if town players gonna act like this then basically it's lose lose right
we lose a town either way

this is where we weigh the benefits against the costs
if we lynch jeanne we lose a town and lose the cult danger
if we don't lynch jeanne then we have the cult danger in favor of saving a town and a chance that we lynch town d1 anyway
in addition there's pb's dayvig threat which results in lost town and lost dayvig shot
honestly

Farside is definitely town, but I agree with soren. we need to convince peace to quit holding the town hostage to his whims, and work as a team, rather than all playing the game as an individual.

That's why i put assume in there. I was thinking usually in greater idea mafia type games, there tend to be more people who chose mafia. So assuming 3 maf and a flipped alien, it is quite safe to assume there are very little 3rd party roles left.
Because if there is too little town the game will be rerolled?
But i didn't think through it properly at that time so bah.
