The normal mechanics can't apply to Klingoncelt, because she wouldn't have made that post otherwise (claiming a role isn't a big deal when the roles are reshuffled every night anyway, and if the mechanics would apply to her she'd have gotten an alignment PM and two role PMs, which would lead to her knowing about the mechanics).

A role that the normal mechanics don't apply to is very likely to be scum (SK maybe?).

Why would claiming past actions be harmful? There is no indication that the roles rotate. Considering that nobody has claimed double voter, might indicate that the roles don't have to appear each day.

What if I were to die tonight? My result would not have helped anyone.

If you have really useful results, like a Cop guilty on someone, then I guess you should claim.

Now, Hiplop, votes Dom on an incorrect assumption. He was corrected twice for it and didn't reconsider whether his argument was right. He also called Bulba's lynch a "Mislynch" which he later said he meant as a "poor candidate for lynch" when I asked him about it, but the that sounds heavily like a slip to me.

I too see hiplop as Scum.

So, why would the Scum kill Zakk? I played a few games with him, so I know he's not the best scumhunter on the site, and not everyone takes him seriously because he's fairly new. I'm going to ISO him and see if he leaked any sort of PR info.

So we have a Vig or SK in the game. I'm thinking it is more likely to be a Vig than a SK because of the unique nature of the game mechanics (that is, roles being reset every day). It seems to me that a SK role would not really be one that could be passed around to multiple players, so that would mean that it would be an exception to the role reset mechanism, which is kind of the main mechanism of the game. That said, I don't really know much about structuring games so perhaps it wouldn't be all that strange to make that kind of exception, but gut says Vig, not SK.

Remember this? Where Klingoncelt made a post that only really made sense when her role didn't rotate?

Also, I just noticed something:

In post 102, she backpedals by saying she thinks roles rotate.
In post 201, I post all claims.
In post 224, she calls me scum. If she would actually be a vig, she would've noticed by post 201 that roles can't rotate because there was no vig N1. At that point, her entire justification for voting me becomes moot. She keeps calling me scum, though.

As I consider myself the towniest player in the game, I'm claiming last. Since nobody else suggested a different claim order, we're going by mine.

He was roleblocked on a night there was a kill, but that doesn't really mean much; if there were 3 mafia, then even if maruchan roleblocked a mafia member, there's only a 1/3 chance that that would stop the kill.

I actually think Klingon is the SK. She didn't know roles changed every day; it would make perfect sense that the SK has fixed abilities.

Hmm. Well, if there is a SK in this game, we really do want to lynch the SK first. It the setup is (1 SK, 2 mafia) and we lynch a mafia member today, and then mafia and SK kill tonight, then tommorow we'd be in a situation with (2 town, SK, Mafia) and that's probably a town loss (if you lynch either the mafia or the SK in that situation, town loses). We're much better off if we lynch the SK and go into tommorow with (3 town, 2 mafia), that's more winnable.

That's odd. Most 3P games that I've been in Town wanted to get rid of Mafia first, mainly because Mafia has PRs in addition to a factional kill.

Why change that?
