You seriously think we're going to sit calmly at L-1 while we decide the AM with the mutagen mechanic in play? I don't think so.-

Reading through the thread again I seriously don't like this post. Awkwardly trying to look town with an idea that can't be achieved, and even if we could come up with something, it would just give scum a roadmap to pick another strategy.

I'm saying everyone - scum and town - like PRs, so you won't be able to distinguish scum from town by the way the mechanics of this game affect behavior.
You don't think anyone here is going to say "I'm hopping on this wagon because my pr is REALLY IMPORTANT" just to get "roleblocked" the next day?
If you don't think the mechanics of this game are going to change the way people play....why did you join it???
See above. But I'm willing to listen. How will the mechanics of this game make scum play differently from town?-

Looking back, he went from not good enough for a vote, to good enough for a vote at this stage of the game. It was worth some pressure, but now you're overplaying it by calling it "incredibly dissonant." I like his explanation in 150, and his subsequent arguments on you don't feel panicky. It reads like he's really trying to figure out the game.

So you think all the scum will be on the first wagon?
And as I said before...doesn't saying this ruin its usefulness?-

It introduced wifom to the situation. Even if it's true (and that's not a given - townies love PRs too, and the maturity argument is weak), it would have been better saidafterthe first lynch.-

Why are you so butthurt about me not explaining one unsubstantiated read when I've been willing to talk about literally everything else?
The point is that you're telegraphing that your reads are likely to change, which looks like nervous scum that knows they should have a progression in their reads.
Further, if you have a town read on me, why do you assume there's a case behind a naked vote? For all you know, it was just bait to test my reaction, or to see who would jump on it. I was actually waiting to see if Edgar would jump on it, as he has a bad scum read on me, but you beat him to it.-

What strikes me as weird is the way you push HH, but throw in some seeming coaching posts like 302 and 306.-

FB feels town to me. I don't know Anti well enough (barely at all) to personally judge if his frustration is genuine or not, but I wouldn't think someone with his experience would freak out so easily as scum.-

Were they right?
I did a test this morning - I read the beginning of his ISOs in several games without checking his alignment beforehand, and I read him right in 4 of 5 games (the fifth I wasn't right or wrong, I couldn't get a feel one way or the other). Those weren't hydras, but he was operating mostly solo at the beginning of this one.-

In post 346, Specter Deflectors wrote:Persivul I think you should answer. Pros point was that people often 'feel' Fire is town, and that doesn't seem to have a lot to do with his alignment. So, in those games where you read him right, was he scum of town? It's an important distinction.
Here you go. You can try it yourself if you like.
Mini 1767Correct scum read
Micro 570Correct town read
Mini Normal 1740Correct scum read
Micro 579No read - he was replaced and the slot was town
Blitz 14Correct town read
And no, I'm not going to go into detail on how I got the reads.-

That's how I read it too. My initial thought was simply vote your top scum read, AM your second highest scum read. But, I believe it was Edgar that noted that you'll usually want to lynch your second highest scum read the next day anyway, so what's really the point of the AM? Maybe it will be more useful toward end game, but at this point it seems like a crap shoot.-
