What's confusing about it?

Also, we have four days to lynch someone. We have to start somewhere.

It's confusing because if you were scum your allies would already know you're scum. They wouldn't be finding out. The statement is only true if you're town which ranger is obviously not

Cabd wrote:Reads list of varying strengths. Players within each category are NOT ordered in strength, all in the same tier are about at the same level.

Tier "Town until paranoia kicks in"
Ranger:
I am definitely not giving ranger town points for her use of “y’all”. I might repeat this a few times to convince myself of that fact. Don’t mind me. Anyways… Post 25 she puts me and java at her top tier town. At that point I’d made a fairly content-less post and opener. She later clarifies in 64 that she has a town read on javajoe for HIS opener as well when java clarifies on it. Only major ping up until now is the “honestly” add-in from post 81; and a lack of follow-up or explanation of the read on me. I don’t mind her shift in read of beeboy; although I’d love some context for those of us lacking the history those two seem to share.
Suzune:
I’m still not 100% convinced that ffery didn’t have a secret clone, for the record. Level-headed analysis is always appreciated alongside careful consideration of the ramifications of shortcuts and potential plans. I don’t see any real agenda to anything besides scumhunting here.

Tier "Leaning town-er of pizza
Garmr:
Not a bunch of content but I like the proactive attempts to force people to commit to stances with reasons. Ignore this sentence this is me including as many fferyisms as possible, but naked reads with zero context give me hives, so I enjoy attempts to remove that option. Not super committed so this goes less high than some others.

SirCakez:
Cakez has a shown tendency to actually pay attention to reads list as early as his second post. Nothing else really stands out but voting the one-post user seems like sort of a throwaway. It is consistant with his earlier statement in post 68 that he had no good scum reads; but I’d hope that’s changed by now?

Tier "Dev: Null"
Radiant Jeanne:
No read; literally has no game content whatsoever. Sad. Replacements really bog down blitz games; but lack of content is worse.
Calvary:
No posts? Lame
tojam2:
Nothing much of value and being replaced; so meh? Vote and reasoning don’t look great but replacement won’t be able to tell us what he was thinking etc so really just a null.

Tier "Null for reasons that aren't lack of posting"
Javajoe24:
Opening was fine; claling out ranger for contextless read on yourself is something that I used to call town but is really null. 104 is the only non-null post of substance. I like the justification for the beeboy vote; although I’d like to see more opinions from Java. I’d also like to know if Ranger’s stance on him still holds. P-edit: Post 125 also is :goodposting:

Nosferatu:
Blegh post something of value. The few posts Nos has are pretty crappy, especially post 58 complaining RVS is over when ending RVS is like.. the entire point of the game. I’d also love an elaboration from Nos on why exactly they think replace-outs are scummy specifically, and what said replace-out happening before the start of the game does to that trend.

Tier "Slumping tower of lean-scum"
Maestro:
Ah, my oldest mafiascum contact. (Fun fact he modded my first newbie game) I don’t understand his initial reads list of me and beeboy at most town although I’d enjoy hearing about it. Unless of course he was doing it as a joke, in which case I’d ask him why he did it as a joke! M, why ~do~ you like the old me more, and what about it caused me to slide down your reads list? Maestro’s note about post 43 is true; abiet the fact that post 43 is being upset at me for pointing out the color of the sky is blue because expecting somebody not to notice that shit on a two page game is…. Very low fruit.

beeboy
I feel like a bunch of the back and forth was a difference in understanding of terms; but there’s still some things I don’t like. The self-claimed washyness of reads before stating them doesn’t pair well with creating a test a first grader could solve during their mid-afternoon nap then claiming I’d ruined it/. Maybe if this was day five page 400 or something. Then such a test would have been workable. That said; more recent posting is moving away from this and I hope I get more content out of bee soon. Especially a followup to post 114

Tier "Probably did coke lines while laughing at the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre"
Brian Skies:
Brian skies’s entire ISO is placing himself into the points of others to either amplify or divert pressure, without being the originator of anything. Some other people also touched on this; but effectively there’s been a defense of me; a defense of Ranger, and more of those two things. What reads does Brian have except a scumread on beeboy (implied in post 91) and a vote on garmr (RVS; but still active and interaction with garmr in post 93 with a reply to garmr’s 31)? I’m not entirely sure.

how you're reading ranger is a mystery to me. She's just posting fucking bracketed lists. A cognitively impaired cadaver could do the same. The most explanation she's provided on anything is fucking "strong town vibes". Why strong town vibes? Fuck if I know.

Null reads and other town reads are understandable, seeing as nearly all of the "dev: null" ones have less than 4 posts

All of your scum reads lack any actual statements as to why any of your random observations are scum indicative.

I don't even understand why you think brian is scum, but like apparently pushing people without posting readlists is super scummy because that's basically all you talk about with him.

Your only reasonable reads are the null reads and suzune because those are the only ones with reasonable fucking explanations.

TL;DR git gud fam ur reads r shite

they're also fewer and far between like in Blitz 20 which I just looked over she posted two, one at ~75 and another at ~152 AFTER interacting with people.

In blitz 2, she made her first readlist at 700.

Her posting readlists that often and so close together is reminiscent of a replace-in.

from my experience above all else, ranger talks to everyone a shit ton and does not post readlists at the start of the game as a replacement for interaction. out of the games I've read with ranger in them, and the games I've played with ranger it doesn't happen.

She talks and forms the reads and then posts a readlist which she probably won't explain immediately, save for some extremist change that she notes with a post link to whatever changed her mind and a short annotation, but she always will.

I certainly do not remember her play like this.

Throwing the "like me" is completely unnecessary. By omitting those two words the sentence would have read the same and we would have still understood your point. Barely starting reading the game and have my first scum read.

VOTE: beeboy

Voting someone off of their own assumption that they are town is off. Is every townie supposed to talk as if they aren't town? Including the assumption that you are town is null at best, no reason for a vote.

In post 195, heuristically_alone wrote:If Brian Skies is town, that lynch definitely had the mafia's hand in it. I like the observation made my Suzune, and it is because of that observation that everyone is jumping on the boat because of that. If Suzune is mafia, it was a smooth move because it can be easily dismissed as an honest town mistake, but knowing how sly Suzune seems, I feel strongly that either Suzune or Brian Skies is mafia, because it is a great observation.

1) mafia has a hand in 99% of mislynches, it's highly unlikely no mafia would be on any wagon so this observation is really useless and feels like just pretending to scumhunt.
2) The whole "either suzune or brian is maf because suz made a good observation" really seems to me like lining up lynches. Like when brian flips town suz is his de facto lynch tomorrow.
In post 232, heuristically_alone wrote:What's wrong with making a case behind every vote? The more info people give, the more it helps town. Are you suggesting you don't want to help town?

I've already stated my opinion on this, taking a simple thing like "why make a case on every vote" to something anti-town. It's a loaded question. Now if you don't make a case with every vote, it's anti-town to do and justification for a scumread, but you can't just say "I don't want to help town".

TL;DR we should've lynched heuristic.

Town should make an effort to make a difference in my opinion, just my opinion on the matter though. All situations are different, but being helpful is always beneficial. That way if it is a mislynch we have information to fall back on it.

Well he did give a bit of info; his thoughts on his wagon and some others, including his top lynch candidates is him at least making an effort. Although how people respond to an incoming lynch is more of a subjective thing.

The fact that ranger hasn't posted this entire game day is pretty scummy guys, if you're not hammering for any reason other than prolonging the game day, you should reread or repent for drawing a scum role PM.

It's more of a confusion of accusative and nominative than anything else.

ftr the assurance hammer was because I thought ranger had unvoted brian to vote heuristic, and thought the game was over at 6:00 because of maestro's timer pic, so I wanted to make sure the hammer would happen before the mod got there.

he pushed it but didn't vote iirc, and I don't find it unlikely that scum about to get lynched tried to bus his partner from town cred.

Why not?

They are at most slightly positively correlated, like +0.4-6 maybe. Bussing is indicated by how they joined the wagon and less so by their place on it.
