um...sorry I dont have that post yet. Primate has failed to tell me who i was replacing so its kind of hard to post.

Ok, apparently I'm replacing groinhammer. so, things that stood out to me are as follows:

The first post that really stood out to me was post 60 by shanba. It just seems that he is going WAY out of his way to justify his vote, first of all. I mean, its day 1. You dont need to give two meta examples to back up a vote. Second, he's drawing a false conclusion from the evidence. I myself joke all the time as town, so its really up to playstyle, I think. fos: shanba. Phates response to this is also pretty overblown, linking to three games. Then shanba backs down. Both scummy posts, but the fact that shanba backed down so easily after coming on so strong reads to me as distancing. But its hard to say without knowing the alignment of one.

Spambot then jumps on the Phate wagon, coming late to the Joke-issue party. essentially accuses phate of being overdefensive/trying to hard to look town (scumtells I've never considered to be valid). So not necessarily scummy, but of note for later.

Shanbas subsequent defense of phate from spams main arguments reinforces the phate-shanba link I talked about earlier. meanwhile, tyhess practices class A active lurking.

After this Kabenon phate and spambot deck it out, and I'm pretty sure I agree with Phate on most of the points. His playstyle seems to react to pressure in a similar way to my own, and thus I can definately see him town (see mini 495, 486).

As the game continues, spambot gets really jumpy for a while. Kabenon comes in and makes a few weird points regarding role pm disclosion, and bot jumps all over it when it really isnt that scummy. phate calls him out on it.

Dragons of summer shows up, declares kab the scummiest for weak reasons. shanba discreetly changes away from his phate vote without reasons. Now phate decides to vote kabenon, but at deadline he at least switched back over and didnt vote to kill the claimed doc.

So, conclusion: spambot is the scummiest, and shanba has made some notably scummy posts and for this I am suspicious of him. I'm also suspicious of SSF for pressuring the phate claim, which is really unnecessary at this point, and only helps scum. Also, phate seems town to me thus far, except what i view as a small connection to shanba. for now,

SSF, I guess I just assumed you were pressuring for the claim when I saw Phates post, I guess thats not the case. Though I would appreciate him posting some more.

A "town powerrole" claim is an ideal scum cover when under pressure, since they don't have to commit to claiming an actual role, they don't have to risk a possible counterclaim, and it may be enough to shed a couple of votes.

This may or may not be true, but I haven't actually ever seen scum claim this.

I've seen it done by both sides. It's really kind of a null tell as far as I'm concerned.

Ok guys. I think this game is starting to go downhill, but I know we have one replacement on the way, maybe another, and I think that Spambot isnt too bad a lynch for today. For one, I think he's the most likely scum. Second, he'll provide us some info. Third, we'll be getting rid of an inactive, giving Primate one less replacement to find. So I seriously think we should just end today with a spam lynch.

Hmm.the bit about you wanting to vote spambot kind of takes away a lot of that posts credibility. Anyways, you should respond to the attacks on Spam by me and (i think?) yagami, though mine arent very well organized.

Well, I guess it's true that it's hard for you to answer for spambot, seeing as Spam's play was mainly just oppertunism and tunnel-vision. I think it would be a good idea to give you a mostly clean slate for now, but IGMEOY.

Er....I dont really know how I feel about this current discussion. I'm thinking I might have to take Shanbas side in it, but its really irrelevant. Its a meta issue, and I suggest we abandon it.

Elias, to be honeset, it's mainly (read: almost exlusively) due to groinhammer's behaviour.

k. it would be cool if someone made a case for why his actions were scummy, so ya know, i could defend, maybe start some actual activity in this thread.

In post #56, he seems very eager to lynch Phate, but this might just be a townie wanting to lynch the scum.

This sounds more like a newbie tell then anything else to me, especially when coupled with the next point, where he claims to be overwhelmed by the game. He was still a relative newb at the point at which he left the game.

We then don’t hear anything until about post #91, where he says he was scared to post.

Yeah, newbie tell.

Later, in post #111 he says spambot was switching.

Why is this scummy?

In post #199, he makes an analysis, saying that he finds shanba scummy (distancing?) but phate pro-town.

Why is this likely to be distancing more then just accusing someone.

He also says that he finds a link between phate and shanba.

This could come from the fact that he wasnt keeping up with the game, which means it would be tough to remember your reads.
