By the way, what the fuck is this setup? We are not even told how many scum:town are there? Is balance assured? Is there a wiki page for this setup or possible roles? Or are we going to have to believe anyone who comes up with any fucking role claims?

I don't think a massclaim would be a bad idea. but not today

Except it gives the mafia all the information they need, and town simply "these are what have been claimed". Scum then know how to direct their shots for maximum possible benefit. Need to keep the investigative role alive? Block them in some fashion. (Great for casting suspicion on why that role has done no investigating). Know there's a protective role? Get rid of it in some way right out of the gate.

For town, we just get to assume people are a) telling the truth (that was one long list of roles the mod linked us to, it would be really unlucky scum to fake claim from that list only to be caught out), and b) on the side of town in the first place.

For instance, all we "actually" know about the Cheerleader role already given (can't remember the name of the player that claimed it right now) is that he's claimed cheerleader, and there's been no counter claims. Sure it seems town to open claim a negative role early on, but there's a chance it's scum trying to buy town points. In a mass claim however, we'd literally know nothing unless there's a counter claim, and even then, is there any guarentee there aren't two of the same roles in this meaning we could see a counter claim, and lynch two town in succession, really helpful to town there.

There is no town benefit to mass claim, and I'm going to state right here and now, I am not going to be a part of mass claim, it aids scum a hell of a lot more than it aids town at this point in the game.

Where did u guys check if post restriction is possible in this setup or not. Coz if this is sure not possible, NM is just trying to be smart.

Jesters have been seen with a few hindering modifiers attached to them, such as Even-Day (the Jester only wins if it is lynched on an even-numbered Day) or a post restriction. In other games, players are told that there is a Jester in the game. This does not usually change that the Jester eventually wins.

Based on all of the above, Jester is generally considered a bastard role.

Yes i did sign in, but am much less interested now that the novelty is over. Anyway, as of now I am playing. You can visit my completed town games- 671, 664 and scum game as 657. But right now I am trying to change my Meta. So i don't think you will get much there

At least back in my day, (*waves cane in the air*) common policy was to ask jesters to just claim. If they did, then the town lynched them.

If they were a Jester with a non-exclusive victory: Good, a non-protown role has been removed from the game early, thats a worthwhile use of a day 1 lynch.
If they were a Jester with an exclusive victory: Good, Jesters are stupid and no fun to deal with and now the game is over and we can move on with our lives.
If they were a scum trying to pretend to be a jester: Everyone shares a hearty laugh about how stupid they were to claim jester.

1. How did Dwelee used 2 different actions- cheat Bork Bork and block Socrates on N1, when Dwelee's role PM did not say that?

2. If N1, Dwelee blocked Bork Bork succesfully, how could Bork Bork turn Dwelee into Grey Goo? So on D3 start when you announced Dwelee was nightkilled, how was his flip announced as Grey Goo? Shouldnt it have been his original role PM of Jedi?
