GG Town.

I am sorry I slipped I am usually better than that.

how'd scum kill BTD?
Factional ability given to us halfway through the game. Pretty much if we left BTD6 alive it was no longer Mafia.

Good eyes on the slip Not Chara. I was kinda hoping you'd forget.

I knew if I killed BTD6 it was a scum claim either way so I stalled for time arguing cop shit when I knew I was going to be checked I was just trying to eat time. The more fighting there was the harder it was to read. Then when I got caught I wanted to make sure you all knew I liked you <3

Agreed. Honestly I think a cop in the setup broke it.

This would have been great flipless mafia otherwise. Seriously I was telling the truth about all that.

I may mod a hardcore (flipless) VT Heaven game here soon actually. Back to roots I think would be good for MS and would rope in new people.

yeah we spent a lot more time arguing about optimal strategy instead of scumhunting. it was pretty draining.

having us lose if the deadline went through also added a
lot
to the stress. feels a bit like a bandaid to give scum a chance instead of a mechanic?
I think the game was true to inception as limited time exists in dreams.

If there wasn't a cop I think people would have had to focus on hunting. Which ironically probably would mean Town loss.

i'm not usually an advocate for slips but that one didn't have any other explanation. i think if you'd left it there instead of posting "but if you can, don't post it" i would have been way less confident of it even being a real (or faked) slip.
I actually came up with an idea namely that I was actually talking with EAP and context was off. It would still be a scum claim but then decided against it and let it run because by then new dream thread when I came up with the idea.

I just feel bad :( Like if this setup wasn't broke I think I really could have taught flipless mafia well. One thing in flipless mafia you always do is mass claim. I just happened to omit that part because that wasn't scumsided this game.

I have some notes to make after inspec about game balance and setup design. I'm sorry for an error that was in one of the role pms that I made before my ban.

tldr; Mafia could win the game if they could control the cop check by leading it to another dream or by using preception and kicking mechanics (if they coul leave one of their members in above threads) the main idea for game balance was set around that idea.
Yeah that IMHO is a problem. Infinite cop check means cop gets townread scum can do nothing about it and can infinitely check or get 4-5 conf towns. The only viable strategy was suicide and Almost50 was never not scumreading me and as Town leader fucked. In Shadowrun I could convince JaeReed to another person because of how things were setup and done and everyone was an option but here mass popularity cop meant something different. I think 1 shot cop okay limitless unkillable cop with infinite flips literally lynch all but cop GG.

Layer 3 and one or two shot I think would have been much better tbh. But as written it is always follow cop all the time. I would have loved to strategize with that.

I originally thought BTD6 was full of shit with the cop claim for that infinite cop claim.

I am cool with it. It was fun regardless. Having modded now on MS I realize how stressful it is. Please consider it water under the bridge FMPOV and if it does get talked about further it is for future games not for any flashbacks or blame. :)

Mainly if it was level 3 he didn't have enough to get back up. So it would be suicide to get a true result. But it would be negative EV for Town as you are trading the life of a confirmed cop for the life of someone who is not confirmed and thus unlikely to make your townblock succeed.

I think I just went off the rails at infinite cop check and wasn't watching my posts closely enough and that was a major detriment.

Mainly the way you approached reading people and solving the game. I could tell there were things going on in your head that you didn't state outright. There were probably other things, but I'd have to look back.

PEdit: FA, the problem was that the people who were the scummiest were sent lower. So even if scum had a member that was widely townread, they'd have to sacrifice that player in order to kick.
That too. If I had been here at the start I would have Shadowrunned this hard core.

Meh. Water bridge. I literally outed me and my scum partner. If you out 2/3rds your team ya kinda probably should lose.
ScumBlade's eloquent performance left me utterly disoriented, debased, depraved and sent me spiraling into a horrific murky abyss with emotional turmoil and immense despair as my only companions until slowly I suffocate in my own gloom, surrounded by failure. I just hope everyone had fun. If that happened this game was a success.

In post 501, Varsoon wrote:Like, for instance, it's mechanically abusive towards a player to do the following:

Let other players decide they have to go a dream deeper, causing them to LOSE viewership access to the posts in that previous dream that they should rightfully have access to.

Does that make sense? I should, rightfully, be able to at least view all the posts up until I got put in the deeper dream. However, the only way to do this in current Mafia is to make WAY TOO MANY THREADS, A TON OF THREADS, DAMN.

B-sides, the game is far less interesting for people who weren't in the dream, which is ideally where scum want to be. In a perfect scum game, scum don't even play most the game.
Lol agreed til scum not playing

My scum clean sweeps I fucking play and control this shit

4AM math good night
