"he's scummy because he's active lurking and that's scummy" - that is not anything

You're being hard to talk to and putting way more effort into not answering questions than it would take to answer them, which probably makes you scum.

(Is this the nuance you were talking about, zefiend?)

In post 521, Desperado wrote:What do you make of McMenno contradicting exactly what we're discussing right now?
I'd argue this makes him more likely to be town.

well - not that much more likely, but I'd edge him in a town direction based on it.

declaring the 3 top wagons as town is pretty scummy, imo

likely 2/3 are town wagons and 1 is scumbuddy with an pronouncement like that

My approach for talking to him about McMenno and other stuff was vastly more successful than yours and drealmerz because my questions were more nuanced, yes.

The result was that I feel better about his stance on McMenno, but I'm still not satisfied with him trailing off about other reads.

On another note I feel like drealmerz is completely ignoring me this game, which could be taken with a grain of salt BUT it makes me uneasy nonetheless. Maybe I should call him scum so he'll start yelling at me instead?

*hug*

just not much going on!

So the nuance is on your part, not his. Got it.

I feel like everyone is ignoring you this game. Seriously, try searching the thread for your name.

No, actually You, Narna, Desperado, Aristophanes, Davsto, and Lane have replied to my posts or mentioned me in passing.

I think it's drealmerz who should iso ME and try to engage.

True but how many of those people have said anything about your alignment?

And I agree.

Lmfao Drealmerz7.
Yes, I used your full name.
Take a step back yourself and read slowly.

Desperado is saying that this behaviour should be punished regardless of alignment. He doesn't care if it is town or scum. He isn't caring to make a read on it. It is punishable behaviour which he is going to punish.

This is called a policy lynch, and PLs are placed regardless of alignment.

Your lack of ability to understand this confounds me.

you are saying these words, he hasn't said these words at all

why doesn't he say these words? that is my issue

if that IS what he's saying, that's a fucking weak-ass lynch on D1, it gets us nothing, better to just scumhunt and let the guy lurk for a Day or 2 and then lynch him if we still feel he's scumlurker

Is that not what he is saying??
This is what I've understood from the start and I don't think it's an outlandish thing to think.
Read his words, read what they imply, and fucking deal with it!

it obviously wasn't that clear to me, and clear I wasn't the only one it wasn't clear to
I made it clear I wasn't clear

I tried to get clarification, I feel like all I got was difficulty/trolled

He really has. I've highlighted the instances below.

I don't care if McMenno has been lynchbait in the past or whatever your experience with him.
In this game his active lurking and lack of engagement are scummy.
In post 508, Desperado wrote:
In post 506, drealmerz7 wrote:you are evading

why is it scummy here and not at other times?

what makes it scummy here

how can I learn to differentiate between the two? tell me what you see is what I'm asking

quit evading
Not following your meta read that amounts to "he gets lynched a lot d1" doesn't mean I'm evading. I legitimately don't care.

It's not a matter of learning to differentiate, it's a matter of lynching what's scummy.
And being active while not adding anything substantive, especially when you should be a part of the discussion but you aren't,
is scummy
.
In post 512, Desperado wrote:@ Dreal, relax man. I'm not evading anything.

McMenno is active lurking and is not even bothering to attempt to solve the game.

^Scumtells. I think he's scum. I want to lynch him for playing this game in a scummy way, because that's what you fucking do in Mafia. You lynch people who do scummy things.

Him lurking in a previous game and flipping town
is irrelevant
.
This all clearly states that he believes McMeemo is playing in a scummy fashion, and therefore that he must be lynched.
That is a PL.

Yes, it is giving him a scumread, but I think he is overstating it because you have pestered him about it so much.
Like, it reads as 90% PL for antitown play, 10% scumread.

Have I helped clarify things or are you gonna get all yelly again.

Well if that's what he's saying, he should have used the words policy lynch so we could all properly dismiss it as a ridiculous idea and move on with our lives.

Posted: Mon Jan 16, 2017 7:12 pm

Maybe we all should have tried to understand him instead of jumping down his throat like this. Then we could all move on with our lives.

A big fight about it makes it look like you're providing content when really you're stalling conversation and holding game progress for ransom.

Thus Dreal is scum.

It seems likely to me that he's misrepresenting Desperado, Azral.

He was not giving a runaround. Dreal wasn't trying to understand and is accusing Despo of trolling when it's clearly not the case.

Zeif, you have 29 posts this game? Wtf!?

What is your take on all this?

No, I mean you're projecting your own interpretation onto Desp's posts to try to make sense of his read. But without Desp actually saying the words, that's all it is and quite likely to be wrong. Is he the type to recommend we just policy lynch all the active lurkers? I kind of doubt it.
