In Greatest Idea Mafia you will be dealt 3 rolecards from this list, and you will create a role by choosing 2 of those cards one for alignment and one for ability, the 3rd card will be a public discard that will be announced on game start.

Important:

To keep rerolling to a minimum you will receive 3 sets of 3 role cards labelled Setup A, Setup B and Setup C. If at least one of these follows the following guidelines, there will be no rerolling and game will begin

For a setup to be considered legal at least 50% of the playerlist must be town and at least 1 anti-town role must exist.

This means that the game can have from 7 town vs 6 anti town to 12 town vs 1 anti town.
If multiple setups meet the criteria I'll randomize which of them is run. At game start I will announce which setup is run.

Gameplay

1. The following vote formats are the de-facto standard on the site (aka votes should be enclosed with vote tags or bold tags. I don't care about caps/spelling/etc.)

3. If it appears to be a vote for a player, I will treat it as a vote for a player. Please don't attempt to fool me or other players with regard to fake votes. Do not put votes in spoiler tags.
   
4. A lynch is achieved when half plus one of the current number of living players are voting for the same player. If this does not occur by deadline, a No Lynch will occur -- there is no plurality lynch in this game.
   
5. Twilight is the time between the 'hammer' vote being cast and the beginning of the night phase. All living players, including the most recent lynchee, may talk during this time.
   
6. When killed, a player may make one informationless 'bah' post at the beginning of the next day phase and must be silent thereon until the conclusion of the game.
   
7. Please submit all night actions either via PM or by bolding in your Private Topic if said topic allows it.
   
8. If you have a night action and do not submit one, you will not take an action. I will not resolve your action on a random person. Compulsive roles are an exception

Deadlines

1. Day phases will last 12 real life days, if for any reason deadline is extended this will be announced in thread.
   
2. Night phases will last 48 hours, if for any reason deadline is extended this will be announced in thread.
   
3. Players will be prodded after 48 hours of inactivity during the day, excepting V/LA circumstances. Players going on V/LA will have their prod timer reset as soon as V/LA ends.
   
4. Failure to pick up a prod in 24 hours, or receiving 3 prods over the course of the game, will result in replacement. Asking for replacement will result in replacement.

I would have been a commuter if we'd gone with setup A.
Being in setup B suggests a lot of people here have preferences for scum roles. I feel like revealing choices for that setup is a good idea, especially who picked scum in the first game.

are you thinking that setup a wasn't chosen because too many people chose scum? remember that if multiple setups met the criteria, the setup would be randomized. there's no way to know whether or not a setup was legal except for the one we're in.

Supersaint and Mason are the only questionable ones, and both of them have fair reasons to be discarded. Mason's aren't guarenteed and maybe Wilky perfers a town night action than being a potential named towny. Supersaint is gimmicky and better for mafia unless youre a player who lives late, and I assume Diamond is not one of those people.

Wolves, people are too worried about being the only one to pick them IMO. Could be wrong there, but thats my assumption.
