it's probably more a compliment to the setup. the longterm play/dayplay aspect is so strong i think having scum daychat makes it +++++funness

I considered it, but I decided I wanted to see what would happen if scum could fakeclaim. And it's not like it can't be run as an open now. You can't go from open to closed, but the opposite is more than viable.

Not as much of a "what the fuck" as I thought, still waaay out of left field. It's essentially what Aristophanes' mountainish mafia was but for town to figure out instead of scum.

Sorry that the game was less flavorful than expected

The flavor was mostly an afterthought to the setup, and I did intend to actually put in a story about the murderous murderous town, but unfortunately I'm lazy. Very lazy.

I do tend to focus more on the mechanics than the flavor though.

Nice try, Skitter. I probably would have taken the same gambit you did at the end, knowing that it was just one more mislynch. Had the person who cracked the case posted before you, you probably wouldn't have claimed it. So really LyLo just came down to who posted first!

I feel partly responsible, I pointed out that scum "left" on D2 when no one else had noticed it apparently. Wonder if I might have drawn the attention to it.
