@Chenn: I don't blame you. I was asking the TOWN why they lynched Titus. I think I made it clear I TR'd BOTH mastina & Titus on D1, and even when mastina got lynched I spoke to Titus as TOWN "leading us off a cliff"
In post 1198, Almost50 wrote:@Titus: How does leading us off a cliff feel? You insisted on Mastina and now you're after another TR of mine.
My TRs on the trio of mastina, Titus & NMSA were so strong I don't see why they were being SR'd by the rest of the town.

I mean I wasn't around at the time to say it but if I was I was going to say precisely that FL probably did exactly that, find a Titus game because it's not too hard to track it down and FL himself said he'd fake Titus's content. He literally said he could do it and I had no reason to doubt him. :P

None of what Boon was saying sounded like Titus at all so I don’t know. PoE might’ve kicked in.
^That. It didn't sound like Titus so I didn't think it was.

scum reading me is easy, getting my lynched is the hard part.

I even said I thought you'd flip town and stayed on you. I phoned this game in hard until the end of it.

I honestly thought I was a goner, tbh. I was debating just playing in a martyr kind of way to set my team up eventually, but I got town read.

the thing is, I was literally just quoting Titus, haha.

If I decided to fake it, it would have probably been better off for me.

LUV was dead the next night phase because of you, though, haha. I think we probably would have ended up going for an NMSA lynch, and then trying to setup an Omochao/Elbirn 1v1 in Mylo the next day phase.

You know I do sometimes get extra-annoyed at being mislynched like that, so I know how it felt.

Well this was certainly a thing that happened.

@Ank, the setup was a good idea in need of tweaks, as you've noted. I don't think this need be abandoned altogether but tinkering with the setup would make for a better experience. Revealing the dead townies alignment to the medium makes sense if left at that, but unfortunately everyone is more interested in breaking games than playing them and so we got everyone with a spirit whining that they're confirmed town. This isn't your fault so much as the players, and I'm not a mod, so idk how to fix that. I was deeply annoyed by it though and would consider a dead player looking for out of game links and codes and trust tells to be outside influences. Again, not a mod, I'm not sure on the *legality* of it but it really felt like something that didn't belong in the game.

Maybe keep alignments hidden, but a potential role could be someone who knows the alignment of their spirit? Everyone else has a voice in their head they don't know if they can trust, but one player gets a treestump masonry?

Also I'm aware that your warning earlier about toxicity was 100% directed at me and no one else, and I'm sorry I made your game a shittier place to be for a bit.

The beauty of the setup is in keeping the lynched/dead players attached to the game proceedings. I have indeed been mulling about various ideas all revolving around that idea: How to allow someone who got lynched on D1 or killed on N1 to keep playing the game they signed up to. This was definitely a GOOD way to keep them around for longer.

Honestly I'm sure this is already been done but wouldn't the simplest solution be to just treestump all dead players?

Associating them with mediums make a more interesting play as they would need a certain living player to channel their thoughts (also there's the possibility scum can distort their thoughts).

Just don't tell the spirits their medium's alignment so it doesn't become a metagame.

+1

After the whole Roster/Timeshift thing was sorted out, I regretted repping out but when I saw people confitown themselves through ghosts, I was glad I did.

Would YOU still be interested if you were turned into a Treestump? The idea -here- was for the dead player to still effort to try and get their reads through to the main thread.

There needs to be more of an incentive for living people to listen to dead people

The dead people if you've noticed were the ones who had the closest scumteam solves (lol a50)

Just don’t tell them the medium’s alignment because this way, ghosts have to figure it out and ghosts can’t confitown slots by not talking to their mediums.
