I honestly kinda just lost interest in spamming the game. There were better things for me to be spending my time on, and I just decided to spend my time doing those things. Mostly because around that time, I was getting ready to move for college, so...

Makes sense. I can see how doing literally anything else would probably be a better use of your time.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.
Or is it?

I slowly become meaner the better I am, I think

one of the best things I learned was to abandon good/optimal play (and how well/poorly people are playing) and think about why the player you're looking at is acting a certain way.. spending a huge amount of time empathising with how people are posting and trying to see ways in which they could be town has been working really well for me.

I think your experience catches up to you sometimes. Since you've experienced eras in site culture where policy was considered really important, I think you have a firmer stance about "good"/optimal play than quite a lot of us. Technically that's not a negative thing. But I can see why it could get in the way of read accuracy.

Some people still freeze up and make decisions based on who played "better" (or who they'd "rather lose to"), rather than who they think is scum. It happens at nearly all levels of play, I think. I can definitely see how human nature and instinct lends itself to reading people like that.

I am half asleep here so mayyy be rambling a bit. Sorry.
Hey all! Excited and nervous to play my first game with you!

Basing reads on good/bad play is seriously dumb, yet people continue to do that, game after game. Experienced scum effectively know how to sidestep through all of that.

Ummmm remind me where I was mad at you?

I don't really hold grudges, so it's in the past for me now.

Oh, the posting from alts thing.

Yeah, that was pretty fucking insulting. But like I said, I'd already forgotten it.

In post 5418, RadiantCowbells wrote:@Xyzzy if Pine posts from alt or Hydra accounts after hammer claiming s slip that would be considered cheating and wouldn't affect Ausukas role correct
Sorry, this is the more pertinent quote.

A less-personally-hurtful way to have asked this would be to query if it's legal, rather than "is this cheating." It's a subtle difference, but the former is a rules question, the latter is tantamount to an accusation.

What I found hurtful was the presumption that I would even consider something like that. We've played together quite a bit over the years, and even if we've never really been friends, I had assumed a degree of professional respect. I find cheating, even skirting or bending the rules, to be personally repugnant. A win where I had to resort to cheap tricks isn't a win. I'll do every kind of legal and above-board deception in the book, and even write a few new pages in said book, but I'd rather lose honorably than take an unearned victory.

Thanks @Xyzzy for modding.

I think hydra recruiter is like the best role ever but you could give it maybe a 1-shot bp or have roles with rolestop, or just like have more than two of them?
