I need to convince more than just you. Additionally, I don't know if my character is connotationally evil or even what abilities I can fake claim that aren't going to contradict my character's flavor.

Fair, not being familiar with a character is a disadvantage for sure. Your character is just a "psychic" con man. Doesn't have any abilities to speak of besides the gift of gab.

Yeah this was only slightly intentional sorry. I picked characters that were more obscure. I thought it was a straight up upick though.

I'm mostly just mad at the setup and I think that's my fault for signing up for this sort of game. The moderation was fine, I just didn't like how much I didn't know or was just completely unfamiliar with, and so much just seemed to constantly come out of left field or be ridiculous.

Enter I was very close to campaigning for you to live over L and L before your claim. Just for the fact that Alisae had believable theater with either option and L and L's claim wasn't able to be tested without just losing the game. A nudge might have gotten me there.

Wow. I mean, I figured I had yours and y&t support, so I needed to flip light. I claimed because Hiraki called for it and I was kind of scared - I didn't have the necessary game stat awareness to know I could get away with not claiming at that point. I guess I was impulsive.

there are some issues in design that I talk issue with and I partially think that Y&T being a complete potato and just using their vote like it was nothing when the role told them "hey, don't use your vote like an idiot" you can blame the mod for IMO.
I'm not sure why you even need to balance a 1-shot vig in the first place. Its a part of the role that doesn't need to exist.

pedit: Yeah I started the mass flavorclaim that was probably something I would do as town here as well.

like if u as a mod can create something that slows the game down or makes it harder to achieve majority, you can end up getting days like Day 2 where because one person fucked everything up and didn't play their role properly, now the game just sucks

thats not fun for the player because they're going to blame themselves for fucking up that badly and would (reasonably) get attention for not playing their role correctly
its not fun for everyone else because your vote is your impact on the game and in a majority game, if you can't get enough votes, you can't lynch. So if one player only had 1 vote, and couldn't unvote, then its so much easier to lynch the player that that person voted then anyone else.

Its like putting a free hated modifer on me except it requires another person to use their vote to go out of their way to do it. You only need 5 other people to lynch that person but if you wanted to lynch literally anyone else you need 6.

Also I'm slightly tired so I feel like this explanation is gonna be quite messy and could be said in much simplier terms.

this isn't to say, flame tatsuya, he designed a shit game, its moreso "this is why you don't design like this"

Investing in discussion when town has a way to win mechanically makes you look defensive and draws the lynch in your own direction
Light and Hiraki were the two players with kill stopping actions. I had to have one of them dead to achieve a kill reliably.
I think it would be a lot harder to sway light or Hiraki than you.

its not THAT bad of a way to balance a role, but if the phrase "With great power comes great responsibility" means anything, this game goes to show that you really shouldn't give that kind of responsibility to your players.
