Hi, sorry I've neglected this game.

I think we still have to worry about the Cult. If the leader made a recruitment down there, then that guy is probably still out there, most likely with control of the Cult handed down to him. In the games I've seen with a cult, If the leader dies, the recruiting ability gets passed on.

Not sure on who to vote yet.

BM in this post you seem to be indicating that Rosso's knowledge of cult members is suspicious - what role exists that would have knowledge of cult status? I think this is a misrep of Rosso. I think he is just reasoning there is no cult, ie delayed means he couldn't start recruiting night 0, now he is dead, therefore no more cult. I can't think of a scummy role that would have priviledged info about this, apart from the guy who is dead.

Exactly my point. No concievable protown role has information of that description on a Cult. Yet, Rosso appears to be breadcrumbing certainty on an issue which he cannot have certainty on, with the apparent intention of cutting our discussion short.
That reasoning is flawed, as in my experience, a Cult generally starts with a recruiter and 1 ordinary recruit. In this case this scenario is EVEN MORE likely as the Recruiter may not have been able to recruit for the first couple of nights. Hence i find his general behaviour peculiar, and the obvious motive is that Rosso himself is that Recruit.

In fact, he even goes as far as to suggest that discussing the cult is anti-town. Again, i want answers, and i want them now.

When a recruiter dies, the recruits are free 99% of the time. don't debat the logistics of the cult role, its outguessing the mod. find scum like a normal player.

And why exactly do you not like posts like this? I see nothing suspicious about it. Pressuring lurkers is Good For The Town, and having 30 players does make it easy for one person to go un-noticed.

A concenus of a town player, lets the mafia know who to eliminate, keeping the scummiest players around to confuse the town.

Not that I disagree with you, but...

So what happens if, say, the Mafia doesn't eliminate that player... does he or she become a suspect by default, and thus loses their 'townie' status?

This isn't so much about this game, but a game I played here not that long ago, everyone's concensus townie player turned out to be scum, and I was the only person in the game to call them on it, only to have other townies argue with me and defend the fake townie over my accusations.

Sure, it was a newbie game, but still. It isn't like Mafia aren't playing blindly themselves. They'll try to kill perceived townie leaders regardless of what we say in the thread. IMO, the best townie players (especially those with power roles) act a little scummy and possibly ignorant early on, to avoid being targeted at night. The balance is not to overdo it and get lynched for it.

Those 2 comments have always been my thoughts one dealing with Rosso/BabyJ/etc. style people. They are a default lynch if everyone is equally scummy, but that rearely happens and you only lynch them when they give off an obvious read.

pmd the mod and got a bunch of bastardmodding in return. apparently, im not going to be told whether a miller would affect my investigation. IMO a miller shoudlnt affect a cultie cop, but the mods response was telling that it probably will.

but BM was still pretty damn scummy with directing a RBer so im still pretty happy with him dying. in a game this big its plausible that a delayed recruiter has a one day delay on his recruits, and that the power could be passed on once. if the culter is RBd, then it would be pretty rough winning.

And herein lies the problem Rosso. You don't post enough for your own good. You got away with little content Day 1 but the games has stepped up a bit. Join in the Hunting. I myself haven't done very well this game, but I'm hoping to change that over the next few game days. If you can make a decent length post defending yourself I'm sure some of the less certain players on your case will back off. When that happens you can prove your worth to the us by making larger, more detailed posts more often, participating in the Hunting as it were. If you were to participate more you could easily lower people's suspicions of you. Most of them are based on inactivity and willingness to hammer people, no matter what.

as usual, BMs played like shit. i inv'd him. i thought that logically a miller wouldnt show up as scum to me, since im going after cult. millers arent cult-bad, theyre made to look mafia-bad, but by the actions of the mod i tend to get the idea now that every investigating role gets false negatives.

I've not made a single damn thing up this entire game, and theres approximately 13 people fueling an absolute crapheap wagon on me. I wanted to quiet myself d1 just cuz i did have a claimable role, and honestly i didnt do a bad job. just because im not on every five minutes reiterating the same crap argument that gets absolutely nowhere doesnt mean im scum. the good majority of posts in this game have no business being made, and honeslty its made the experience somewhat of a downer.
