vote: Grimmy

Korts - with your gas mask, the only thing I'd say is: I'm not your mummy!

SpyreX, there is a preview button if you hit reply instead of using quick reply box.

OGML - try to tone down the huge quote blocks and double posting, eh?

Well, to be entirely honest...I saw something about Grimmy but don't remember what.
For now, he's not done anything to make me want to unvote.

As I see it - this game needed prodding because it's snail paced compared to the last one and the more people keep talking throughout the day, the less chance of panic and quick lynching near the end.

OGML - You want to call it active lurking? Go ahead. There are no nefarious intentions behind it. It's my policy to say stuff when I feel like there is something worth commenting upon. Heaven knows there is enough fluff in most games here without me needing to add any more.
If you wish to make this a meta issue. Go right ahead.
Last game, I was pushing stuff off a tell I thought was valid. I was wrong. Where I needed to push, I pushed and was vocal. When I was found to be wrong...I backed off.
Call it hot and cold/passive aggressive whatever.

Day starts annoy me. So...my vote is good right now, where it is, than in my pocket.
It doesn't necessarily do Grimmy any harm and if, as a result, discussion is provoked...all the more better.

Flay - you sure mince no words eh?
You wound me!

You want to call what I'm doing active lurking?
So be it.

My vote is on Grimmy for no reason that I can recall right now.

I've already said I don't like day starts, Flay has mentioned that I'm scatter brained and my vote on Grimmy isn't doing any harm.
So why the undies in a knot?

I'm always circumspect on day one, except if I'm rabid about a tell I pick up.
These tell hunts are also scatter brained...go see the last game.
Currently, no tells...no rabidity.

I'd be down with a xyzzy lynch.
No probs.

Any information on day one is information.
What people seem to lose sight of is the fact that day one reactions are to be reflected upon after being nicely stewed and cured...
This tendency of people to go narrow eyed at every LAST thing that a person does on day one... well... I don't care for it too much.

From where I'm standing, even lynching me will reveal info for later use.
Of course, that doesn't mean I'm volunteering to die and I'd be all in for any other wagon.
As it stands from my perspective right now, any one of you could be scum.
I kick in later...when we have more info.

So yeah...

xyzzy's at L-2, let me do something scummy here:
unvote: Grimmy ; vote: xyzzy

To help him present a defense...if nothing else.

Call it WIFOM, call it reverse psychology, call it being scatter brained.
I ain't got nothing to gain by active lurking or acting scummy - so there...I go do it.

If after these words and these actions I get the scape goat performance...just look at people who were too happy to jump on me...
Cuz I'm sure...if and when you lynch me...the revelation would give you things to chew on.

*shrug*

The point of the matter is:

A) I pay attention to the game and speak when I feel it's required.

B) If this is active lurking, so be it.

C) My style involves analysing from day 2 onwards...when there might actually be combinations and groupings developing.

D) If I need to be lynched, I'm willing to take one for the town.

E) I'm also willing to be called scatter brained for it...which would undoubtedly happen :D

There you go...cards on the table.
Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.

Doc fishing =! good.

Flay...claim with one vote?
Really?
RIGHT AMOUNT of scum buddy distancing or whatever you call it...
You mean...not mentioning xyzzy at all...until I vote for him.
Not try to deflect attention, try a different bandwagon than xyzzy.
Never safely try to FoS him to show that I was "getting the wagon"

Let's see what I've actually done here...

Voted for someone - forgotten why
declared my apathy towards Day 1
voted xyzzy - he turned out scum (not that I claim any credit for that)

Call me scatter-brained...I'm not scummy.
if you think i'm scummy or i'm scum...you're wrong... :)

My suspects for today:

SpyreX - for one post that set off my radar...
I will quote it next.

Flay - for just being wrong.
With his...if xyzzy is scum, I follow Phoebus thing... well... fine enough...to an extent but you're barking up the wrong tree here.

There's a fable that goes something like this:
To see if MeMe is scum in a game, see how often she's wrong.
I'm tempted to apply that to Flay here.

If you think what I'm doing is truly honestly scummy...you need to retune your scumdar.
Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.

So, you're voting for someone but you dont remember why yet, somehow,
i just don't like this post for some reason.
he very essentially recapitulates what everyone else and their cousin had previously said...
obliges with some tasty quotation marks and adds emphasis...really eye catching.

At least I have an excuse for being wrong - I'm no legend and am not scatterbrained ;)

Oh and Flay...
I'm pretty sure that there are at least three other possible scenarios for lack of a kill

a) Immunity
b) Recruitment disallows kills
c) Scum chose not to kill

One of them is more equal than others.

Cards on the table.

Me vig (one shot) - berserker

Unless you lynch me - I am going to kill tonight.

My suspects:

SpyreX -

He posts well but there are three posts of his that give me an incredibly iffy feeling. (Do a "See all by" for him)

1) Post 2 - I'm just iffy off backhanded role play (as I see it) - filthy humanness... is off.

2) Post 7 - I've explained my reservations about that in my last post but one.

3) Post 15 - talking about cop confirmations.

I realise these are minor and he's been pretty helpful in the interim but these lapses as I see them...make me itch.

I was going to go after him earlier today but he is no longer my primary target.

Muffinhead -

Doc fishing

Post 202 - i don't really like large quote + vote posts.
They seem to reflect very little thought on the part of the voter.

I see and understand why farside might be scummy.
Killa 9 has been unhelpful and lurking...

I propose we lynch one of the two and I go after the other.

My claim should be verifiable based on the kill style.
I'm assuming/hoping that human and wolf kill patterns would be different.
I'm going to be disappointed if I shoot someone and humans dismember/maul us or something.

As far as I'm concerned...there was a tracker in the first game.
There could be two here...but I think that balance will mean lack of a cop so don't hope for much.

This either generates discussion and creates a deal or seals my fate.

Again - killing me today = free lynch/kill for scum.

Allowing me to kill today - and I would go with the consensus or K9 - whichever is more forthcoming.

Cards on the table.

Your call.

And no...don't remember still...and is unlikely now...why I thought of Grimmy.
Sorry.

If things were going according to plan, then OGML was to track Rogue, who would track me.

The link has been broken...OGML can claim to have tracked Rogue to me - Rogue cannot confirm whom I tracked.

My kill has not gone through.
I did not target a lurker...well not one under lurker suspicion anyway.
I targeted someone who was in the previous game, and up to no good, at that.

I would not touch silver.

Comments?

Would OGML like to say that he tracked my instead and therefore knows whom I targeted?

I am uncomfortable with this broken link in the chain and my kill not going through.
I can assume that:
If OGML is town, the link was deliberately severed to cause confusion.

I have three suspicions for why my target did not die.

1) They were protected - unlikely since they are not making substantial contributions.
2) They have protection ... which would be interesting.
3) They have immunity - which sounds bad for town, as far as I'm concerned ...

General unhelpfulness - my other options were lynch targets or non viable due to being trackers, claimed cops etc.

my kill is gone.

i'm townie now.

If i've been blocked Grimmy...it's a stupid town blocker or a scum blocker.
Interesting you'd come up with that...

I did target Jenter.

Now I think I ought to have gone after Flay.
Just a feeling.

Anyway...getting a smug vibe from Grimmy and I don't like OGML going after Eek...

Let's see what Eek says - I hope he didn't target rogue...

or else, OGML + Eek mafia.

vote: Grimmy
for now

Don't like the tone of your "you didn't deliver for whatever reason" post

The reason I don't like Flay right now is because despite being straightforward, he continues to hound me and be wrong.

Prove myself?
Doing what?

At this time, only my death will prove anything to you.
Hopefully whoever is town here has an advantage with one scum down or you're all looking at a pretty sticky fate.

Jenter Brolincani wrote:I just claimed Berserk. 1 shot kill, 1st NK immune.
Ding!

All the best.

As far as I'm concerned, this clears Jenter and explains why I missed and perhaps explains why there was no kill night one.

And perhaps...gives a better sheen to OGML as well.

Mod seems to be working in twos.

Final vote count of the Day
(8 players alive = 5 to lynch before deadline)
(3) Grimmy – OhGodMyLife, Jenter Brolincani, Mr. Flay
(2) BM - farside22, SpreX
(1) SpyreX - BM

Not voting:
Grimmy, muffinhead

Deadline:
Friday 20 June 1:00 AM (GMT -5 according to forum clock)

The wolves gathered around one of their pack with a sense of purpose. As they went ahead with their lynch, they started howling in triumph as the hairlessly pink body of Grimmy started writhing in pain.
Their howls soon turned mournful as they got scratched and bitten by the Hairless Old Timer. Grimmy was on of the oldest werewolves of the pack and unfortunately, his pools of wisdom and experience did not offer succour to his troubled comrades.

Lynched: Grimmy (
Hairless Old Timer
a.k.a. miller)

Dazed and confused, they returned to their favourite places and howled the night away in despair.
As the sun came about, heavy hearted, they resumed the important of business of finding the scum within their midst. Unfortunately, one of their number would not be joining them. He'd always had an unfortunate liking for muffins, including having a strange muffin mask. Yet, there was no mistaking muffinhead's lycanthropy.
What was surprising was his manner of death...the werewolves only found his head first...then a pair of hands (one finger missing) and a leg...what happened to the rest was up for debate but this was no human kill...

Mauled: muffinhead (
Werewolf
a.k.a. Townie)

It is now day 5, let the discussion and voting get started once again.
