I wouldn't be so sure Phayt, er, Phate wouldn't give a message for a roleblocked role. Excessive exposure to IRC has been known to cause alterations in Mafia brain function.

Hmm. So Mafiaplayer claimed roleblocker, and that he was blocked. Which is, let's face it, a really strange claim for

, town or scum.

And he seems to think that Light-kun will be able to confirm him, which is really unlikely, since I don't think even Phate would give a blocked message for a vanilla townie.

I wonder if Phate would use xylbot for reference in setup generation?

Keep in mind that XylBot is randomized - you can't divine anything useful about the specific roles left unrevealed. At best, you can get a general sense of how many scum there are likely to be, and how many power roles might be left.

And, of course, I have no particular evidence to suggest that Phayt used the bot to help him design the setup.

I think that current role claim info gives LK a better-than-average chance of being scum regardless of MP's alignment, but I'm not sure how much.

As we discussed early in the game, the only roles allowed in this game are standard, common ones, like mafia godfather or jailkeeper or doctor or SK.

False. Who said this garbage? As the rules for the Large Normal Games queue say:

A normal game does not have to have any other roles other than Mafia and Townies. If it includes other roles, they should mostly be considered standard: Cop, Doc, Vig, Roleblocker, Mason, Traitor, Serial Killer.

Other (new or otherwise) roles can be included. However, there should be no more than 1-2 of these, and they should be based around the usual game mechanics: Killing, Protecting, Investigating, Voting.

SK with a block is based around the usual game mechanics, so it would be allowed in the "no more than 1-2 of these" exception.

It's not cheating because it's not forbidden. I do think it's an unbeatable strategy though. The only counterstrategy is to lynch everyone who ever had personal problems.

Finally, every lurker posts something. Don't just look at what he posts - look at when he posts, what makes him post. If, for example he is only around to defend himself, then that indicates he is lurking as a strategy and should be
