Well color would be nice. Then I can decide if we should roast ya. :D
Having just played RPS, I say "great" to this idea. You can learn a lot about someone's allegiances based on how they vote...

Perfectly happy with my vote for now, but I'd like a count, too. You seem to have created a monster, Andrew...

Oh noes! People haven't voted in 12 hours!!?! I've played with IS both as scum and as town before, I'm willing to chance him staying alive longer than BJ.

You know something we don't about SKs in this game?

Coron = moron, by his own List. He wants to post like IS but he's not quite as clever.

I'm with STD on BJ's sortaclaim. Having extra killing roles doesn't mean there's an SK, and even if you're a vig, there's a 50% chance you're not MY vig. Besides, a vigilante without information about who is on his team is just as rabid as an SK.

I don't know, Pie. In RPS, which admittedly had a different mechanic, the first team to lose a member got targeted for the rest of the game, until they became kingmakers in the endgame. I think the mafia (there IS only one mafia, right? Not one Black mafia and one White mafia?) could go a lot of directions with color information, but the *town* will most likely target the color who is down in the standings. At least I would (and did, in RPS, before you take that as an admission of guilt).

Damnit, someone's deleting posts. Not cool (unless it's the mod, and then it's only slightly uncool).

*fixed for page 6*

To make this a post with real susbstance, BJ, I don't think it's blatant misquotations for comedic effect that indicate mafia, it's misrepresentation and smokescreens that tend to make people suspicious. If you do happen to get lynched, we can get a lot of information about people who voted you since yesterday's orgy of posting.

I wonder if the mafia know who each other are? :?

I definitely would be in favor of exercising our option to lynch, rather than turning initiative over to the mafia, today. Yes, we run a risk, but we run that risk in every game, and except for newbies, the setup can handle a Day One lynch.

IS hasn't posted anywhere on the site for
36 whole hours
!!1!eleven! I'm not ready to string him up yet; BJ's posting style, however, is distracting and annoying.

AndrewS: Sorry, wasn't saying you deleted my post, or even that it was my post that got deleted. It's just that we're getting the "No posts exist for this topic" at the end of every page (topic 24, 49, 74, etc) that means something got deleted, somewhere. I know cause I'm dealing with it in Dodecamafia...oh well. The post rate here should overcome that without any problems.

Hmmm, rereading the initial post makes it seem that there is indeed only a single mafia.

Fuldu: I know, I wasn't trying to apply RPS-style logic to this game, just saying it's a reasonably similar example of "multiple uninformed majorities". I don't think colorclaiming will help, but I wonder if all of the roles are reflexive (Black Bishop = Roleblocker = White Bishop, for example). Or are the mafia randomly scattered through, like a split-motive game? That'd be...
exciting

Hmmm. I'm finding the posting of certain people who seem to dislike the idea of "killing an entire color on Day One" to be a little unfamiliar with the townie situation here. Maybe because they know who is in their mafia?

I admit it threw me at first, having two towns, but the mafia group(s) is/are much more likely to be a threat to our welfare. We can play colorgames later.

Claiming pawn is no proof that you're a pawn, BabyJesus. How long have you been playing this game? There's 16 pawns in the game, and since they don't know who else is, there's no way to prove it one way or another.

Granted, you probably either outed some Black or Mafia in the run-up to lynch you here at the end, assuming you're not maf yourself, but this was not the cleverest of plays.

Are we at lynch yet? I can't count past 16...

operaman wrote:how is color claiming not helpful? please explain it to me.
Color claiming makes you a target for >50% of the players, at least today. 16 are the opposite color from you, and want you dead. Some amount want you dead even though you ARE the same color, simply because they're mafia. So even on a straight bandwagon, you'd lose. Plus, you have to factor in the (probable) decision of *some* of your teammates to vote for you, to keep themselves from being outed as being White/Black) and killed by Black/White during the following night... assuming they have any night kill actions.
