All pettiness aside, random votes are boring. Who wants to talk about werwolves? Apparently there's a group of people who've evolved in such a way that they've developed wolf like qualities. My friend saw one on TV and he's scared of things jumping out of bushes at night. So naturally, we scared him a few times
Sorry. I'm really bored right now. I felt like sharing.-

mneme: Even inexperienced people are aware of IS. And I'd hate to be nitpicky, but someone could be experienced and be new to mafiascum.
This is a list of everyone I'm pretty sure knows IS. That doesn't mean the others done. In any case, I think it's a waste of time. All that it means is that there's a higher than normal chance that one or more mafia are in this group.

therianthrope as I learned it is a person with an animal soul. The people I met who called themselves that were really paranoid, because they got a lot of wannabes and such.

Dude. One vote for no lynch isn't actually going to make a no lynch occur. People should not get all uptight about it.
The truth is, no lynch doesn't help the town at all (except in rare circumstances, and this is not one of them). So if you feel you have no one to vote for, just don't vote for anyone. Don't vote no lynch.

I think Phoebus said something about FD2 having PC trouble.
Anyway, it's not forthright. It's obvious. We've had this discussion so much, that scum could jump on against it, lead a bandwagon against a no lyncher (which is frequent newbie behavior), and get the town to lynch them (which is common town behavior).
A no-lynch does prevent the town from lynching an innocent. Although I'd rather have an innocent die to narrow the choices than nobody to die, preventing the possibility of maifa dying (only if there is one group).
Frankly, I don't see ther being a great argument behind scum using no lynch. It's good enough, but it's easy to make the justification otherwise.
The fact that Coolbot apparently doesn't think so makes me wonder if he truely believes that regardless of experience, no one can come to an alterior conclusion if they think about it long enough or he's scum looking for an easy target.
A vote is not a condemnation, PB. And I sure as heck don't know, nor can control, what roland and Stam think.-

For all we know, Pooky decided to be artsy, and it has no meaning to this game.
If not, it is quite possible again that he's referring to one of his huggle buddies.
If not, it's also quite possible that he's mason with a lover.
If not, it's also quite possible that there's someone out there that is his lover, and, seeing IS was a herb....ologist...can't remember...anyway, Pooky would know that his lover is still alive and out there.
If not, it's also quite possible that Pooky is scum, and he's working up an alibi of confirmed innocents with another mafia buddy.
And not all scum incite is bad. You obviously shouldn't trust anything unconditionally, except common sense, because otherwise someone in town will hopefully detect any obvious bullshit.
I say we best leave it alone for now.-

Wow. Thanks Phoebus...I guess...
What I'm curious is if we lynch someone before the full moon...do the wolfies still get to eat us? I'm thinking there's a wolf mafia that kills on the full moon regardless and maybe an SK/people mafia that kills at night. Although that'll be cleared up pretty soon, I guess.

Actually, when I first saw the name, I thought it was "es me" which is "it is me" or "is me" in spanish (although I don't think that's proper grammar).
Esme, it looks like your a casualty of the bandwagon. Occasionally, people decide to put thier votes on someone for any reason they can find. It's why BJ has his sig. It doesn't look like a defence is going to help (when does it ever?), so I would say you may need to claim, or at least hint at your role.
But I'm still happy with my vote on Coolbot, if anyone feels like switching.-

I was not the first. Please don't second and third off of me, especially if you are voting esme. I'm in the "the only way you can appease these vicious people is by claiming" not the "you should claim, esme" camp.
Milkman: Why not? So you are so sure of esme's guilt that anything that she'll say short of claiming is evil?
The goal, people, is to kill the mafia while revealing AS LITTLE CLAIMS AS POSSIBLE. Don't give up. Don't waste it on unnecessary claims. Esme has explained her actions. I don't see why voting non-voters is anything but 1) a participation builder or 2) a misunderstanding.-

Some of BJ's methods I find to be counter-intuitive, namely, voting me. If you notice, I did not vote for my random voter (which, ironically, would be BJ, since he replaced LC). Given the recent votes for Milkman + previous inclinations, there you have it.NanookTheWolf wrote:Fos: SaveTheDragons.. Random Voting on Day 5?

Eh, it probably wouldn't be the first time an extreme WIFOM was used.

Wine in front of me: From the movie(?) the Princess bride where I think Person A poisoned one of the wine glasses. Person B takes Person A's glass, thinking he's so sly because he believe Person A posioned his glass. But in reality, Person A posioned his own glass, knowing that Person B would fall for the trick. Person B dies.
Or something like that, I've never seen the movie. Basically, it's when someone does something to make us think that something is true (I.E., Pooky's a good werewolf) when it's not. The most simple form of WIFOM is something like: "I'm acting to scummy to be scum" when they really are scum.-

I'm not saying you WIFOMed. I'm meerly saying it's possible to pass of your werewolfyness as a miller-type role. An extreme case would suggest that DM is a mafia partner.-

Oh crap. Please don't tell me all those times I talked to my scum partners at night in various games throughout my mafia career I was cheating.draygn_mage wrote:@ STD- a mafia partner who pretty much had to be dragged into the gambit?? If it was a mafia ploy, I would have hung Pooky out to dry and advanced myself as a confirmed townie when he died and was revealed as a wolf.
Here's the facts about the gambit. Are you dead yet? No? Are you dying? No? So it's working? That is, hypothetically.
That's hilarious.draygn_mage wrote:Dude, I just snorted Pepsi all over some legal docs! I have great fun imagining what you are like in real life. I get the mental image of a large muscular flamboyant man who has a bad tendancy to crush his straight friends in "huggles".-

And that's probably why I'm not suspecting you and only bringing it up.PookyTheMagicalBear wrote:@STD, we wouldn't be freaking dead or dying if we just kept lying low either.-

Let's play a game while we're waiting for things to get exciting again. Oooh, 15 people? Well, I know a good one we can play. It's called mafia.
Unvote, Vote: MikehartSince roland claimed, you can't use other people's reasons, you actually have to explain why you either disbelieve the claim or want to h00s a townie.-

Does anyone else think there's a lot of townies in this game?-

Put your metagaming aside, BJ. Just because I betrayed you in one game doesn't mean I will in another (and besides, it's not like I can). And it's partially Crola's fault for giving me the role.BabyJesus wrote: I just really want to lynch STD....

If you get a day-vig role I'm going to be so pissed.-
