>Voting, Lynching & Death
For your vote to be counted, it must be bold, and in the form5)Vote: Hoopla. Caps and colons are optional, but it does need to be bolded.
Unvoting when switching your vote isn't necessary, but will be appreciated.6)
A lynch will occur when a player achieves 50% +1 of the votes. When this has happened, any subsequent votes and unvotes will not be counted, and the game will enter twilight. Night will begin as soon as I have declared the lynch.7)
The town may opt to 'no lynch' in lieu of lynching a player on any day.8)Vote: No Lynchis the format for this. No lynching requires only 50% of the town's votes to go through, as opposed to a majority.
Once you're dead, you are dead. Do not post in the thread until the game is over, not even a 'bah' post, for real.9)
>Activity & Deadlines
Prods will be issued after 48 hours in a row without posting (weekends count as one day) or under request from players. Multiple prods will probably lead to your replacement.10)
Things come up in life. If you need time off for something, please let myself and the players know in-thread for V/LA purposes. I will be flexible, but if you can't be here for a signifigant amount of time I will replace you.11)
This game is using bankable deadlines. This means that any unused time from a Day Phase carries over to the next day.12)
Day 1 deadline is set for 21 days, Day 2 is set for 15 days, Day 3 is set for 12 days, while every Day Phase thereafter is set for 9 days (before adding any banked time).13)
In the event of a deadline ending without a player gaining a majority of votes, there will be no lynch.14)
Nights will have a 72 hour deadline. If you fail to send in a nightaction, you will automatically default to 'no action' for that night, and you will do nothing.15)
In the event of replacements or any other disturbances, I will grant a deadline extension. Laziness isn't an excuse though.16)

Please do not use small/invisible text, stenography or advanced forms of coding/cryptography. Breadcrumbing is an acceptable form of basic coding. Please contact me via PM if you're unsure about where the line is.17)

Set-up FAQ:
What result does the Gunsmith get if she investigates the Vigilante, and the Vigilante kills the Vanillizer in the same night?
I will take this opportunity to point out the Order of Operations I will be using for the night phase;simulantaneously
'Vanillize' isn't listed here, because it is a triggered role thatVanillizes whoever targets her. Wherever the person's action falls in this order, determines when the Vanillizing will take place. So, the Vigilante targeting the Vanillizer, turns her into a Vanilla Townie on level 3. A gunsmith investigation happens after this event, and would receive 'no gun' on this player because she is now a Vanilla Townie.
Does the Redirector become Vanillized when she directs power roles to this player?
No. Only if the Redirector targets the Vanillizerfirst.Any player she diverts to the Vanillizer causesthemto become Vanilla.
If a power role submits no action, can it be redirected?
No. Power roles must use their actions in order to be redirected. As such, 'No Action' is a choice for all power roles.

Thank you everyone for such a speedy confirmation period. We are only missing RayFrost, Jack and Ellibereth at the moment, so I'm going to go ahead and start Day 1 now, since the bulk of us are here.

That was mostly the point - my goal in crafting this game was to produce a truly open set-up (no multiple set-ups or X% chance of roles existing), yet still enable scum to be able to fakeclaim, or accuse town power roles of fakeclaiming by allowing them to remove information. Initially, I was going to have the Vanillizer hidden, but then it would have been very difficult for mafia to actually figure out who this role is, and then find a powerrole to redirect to the Vanillizer.Mr. Flay wrote:I don't understand the decision to have apublicVanillizer and a Mafia Redirector. The concept of an Innocent Child Vanillizer was a good way to improve scums chances of producing a fakeclaim because it gave them one half of the two ingredients they needed (The ICV and a PR), whilst to kill the IC (which they would have needed to do at some point if it was a closer game) they'd have to lose one of their PR's which all sort of worked together, really. The role-cop finds the PR's, the Redirector diverts them to the Vanillizer, and the Encryptor allows scum to share these results and talk during the day. It also makes for an interesting Day 1 with potential talks of lynching the IC, which means it guarentees scum can't fakeclaim powerroles, which might have been an avenue worth looking down.
It might be worthwhile removing the Godfather aspect of the Encryptor role, because I agree, it felt mafia biased still - they didn't need this extra role. My reviewers (Yosarian mostly) were strong advocates for the Godfather role though, so I persisted with this. I also thought, giving the town two more players than the standard 3:9 mini normal would be enough to offset the mafia bias - as this gives town an extra mislynch and even a free vig kill without reducing the lynch count (though the vig dying D1 certainly didn't help town's cause).
xRECKONERx didn't utilise his power of being confirmed innocentat all. He played quite poorly and didn't give much attention to the game, which I think was a more significant pitfall for town than they realised. Confirmed townies who won't be killed for at least the first night or two have so much opportunity to influence the game and start wagons and basically run the show and put scum under pressure - but he did very little of it. What was even more damaging is town didn't get down to odd numbers until Night 4 - they needed that initial vig shot Night 1, even if it was on a townie, which would have made the IC more valuable because the pool for mislynches closes down slightly for scum.-
