Rules:
1. This is a game. Play to win, but also to have fun and to allow the other players to have fun. Repeated or extreme violations of this rule are modkillable offenses.
1a. Claiming another player is your scumpartner, truthfully or not, will result in a modkill.
2. Votes must be in
bold
or between vote tags for them to count, like this:
Vote: saberwolf.
Unvoting is not necessary, but your fellow players will appreciate it.
3. I will try to post a vote count at least once every 24 hours.
4. I may be God, but I am not infallible. If I make a mistake, please tell me.
4a. Please bold all in-thread requests to the mod (
especially
V/LA declarations) so that I see them.
5. While the game is in progress, do not discuss it except when and where I specifically allow you to. (You may always PM me to talk, but I cannot guarantee an answer to any question you ask.)
5a. I post QuickTopics after the game. Take that into account when deciding what to write in one.
5b. Robust cryptography, steganography, invisible and effectively-invisible text are all forbidden.
6. Similarly, do not quote private mod-player communications. You may paraphrase, though. If you're not sure if it crosses the line, run it by me.
7. Days will be deadlined at two weeks. Except for replacements, deadlines are non-negotiable.
7a. At deadline, half of a majority will be required to lynch.
There will be no reduced number of votes when there are 7 or fewer players.
7b. In the event that multiple players are eligible to be lynched at deadline, the lynchee will be the player with the most votes.
7c. In the event that Rule 7b does not specify a single player to be lynched, the lynchee will be the player of the ones tied for most votes who had more votes than each of the others more recently than they had fewer.
8. V/LA: Declare it where I can be expected to see it. This game, your sig, and a PM to me all meet that standard; other games and the V/LA thread do not.
If I don't know about it, it’s your fault.
If it’s too long, I'll ask for you to find your own replacement.
9. Prods will go out after 72 hours without a post (unless the player is on V/LA). The proddee will then have 48 hours to post in thread or they will be replaced. If you post before I get around to handing out the prod, you avoid the prod; similarly, if you return before I find a replacement, you can stay in the game. The third time you enter prod range, I won't bother prodding; instead, I'll just start looking for a replacement.
10. If enough players are voting for No Lynch to make any other majority impossible, the day will end in No Lynch.
11. When a lynch is reached, the game will enter twilight until I come to lock the thread.
All players alive immediately before lynch may talk during twilight,
but don't expect it to be particularly long.
12. Nights will last approximately 72 hours, unless I need to find a replacement during the night. If I do, the replacement will have no fewer than 48 hours to get caught up.
12a. If you know in advance that you will be V/LA for most or all of the night phase, you are encouraged to submit night actions ahead of time.
12b. Any night actions I do not receive will be treated as "no action" PMs.
13. If you die, stop posting until after the game is over. You are allowed one "bah" post provided it contains no game-related content (something like "Go town!" is acceptable; something like "My tracking results were X and Y" is not).
14. If, for whatever reason, I decide to edit your post, it will be in
. Don’t use that style.
15. Anything that would be illegal to actually do is also illegal to fake.
16. If I find that I've left something off, or that something needs clarification, I reserve the right to update these rules. I will tell you if/when that happens.
Discretion is the better part of valor.
If I helped lynch you, you deserved it.
Retired from playing for the foreseeable future.
