It really depends: Some people are really natural at scumhunting. But time is a huge factor in someone's ability. Not in relation to others, but I think of someone like Notscience or MetalSonic (rip) and their improvements from when they started. It is superbly obvious the kind of improvements they were able to make. I don't see him now, but someone like Fuzzybutternuts made huge improvements over the first half a year playing.
Be willing to play more with you guys (already have w/Vedith, fire, luna... as well as taking another loss to IaI... Jesus). Yeah, stick around and let's try to do better next time.
As for elitism, take it as nostalgia. As I've mentioned, I started playing in 2010 offsite and one of the huge things is that tells fall in and out of style. What was too scummy to be scum is now meta scum. The game is actually constantly evolving in that aspect. The other part is we're all missing friends who simply don't play anymore. I had a group of 10 I used to play with offsite and I can't find any of them anymore. Kinda sucks in that respect.

I am not sure if I ever was in a game with Titus where she wasn't willing to stake her reputation misreading me as scum, and going 1 vs. 1.
It's like a dog/cat thing. I kinda tried to ignore her this time, but her refusal to consider that scum would have some extra kill powers to overcome the bulletproof doctor, and her unshakable read of IAI as town just got to me in the end. But, a lot of players wouldn't have lynched IAI, whom I knew was straight up lying, so I compromised going after the person that could only be, in my mind, his gambit-buddy. The certainty of the "one of FB/DGB MUST be scum," and the dogged persistence with which this was pursued, threw me off, because there was no justification for it that made sense to me. Even after the coordinated IAI/pignash hammer, her conclusion that FAQ was my scumbuddy, instead of realizing that IAI/pignash had just hammered her together without bothering to explaintheir change of heart, solidified my impression that we had hit scum, that maybe pignash was not IAI's partner, but Titus certainly would be.
Boy was I wrong.
I wonder if there is a way that I could improve my Titus read? Where can I draw the line between town/scum with a player that refuses to consider any alternative to their dogma and calls you scum in every game? I don't know if it's even possible.
I am sorry if I was rude at some points, but, mafia is theater, and since no one wanted to buy my argument that scum would have to have something heavy to balance out the BP protective roles, all I had left to sway people was insults and histrionics.

@DGB, I am weaker as scum on my stances than town. Simply put, people like others who like them. While I lost Gundam Seed, it is a primer on Titus!scum.
I follow the votes. I was presuming three scum. That was a fatal flaw. My VCA is only as good as the input put into it. If the facts are wrong, so will the conclusion. 2 kpn scum seemed unfathomable.
I did consider a counter (which you ignored), which was wrong that FAQ was lying or scum had a roleblocker.
You were rather rigid in your reads though, not willing to consider other scenarios.

Transparency = town in most cases. You may hate my logic but if you can see it, that's a strong town indicator.

This might end up helping your scum game more than your town game, but I think I'd be more inclined to read you as town if your thinking appeared more flexible and if you showed more evidence of considering other people's arguments. I guess you give an impression of being motivated by internal thinking that is impervious to outside influences, which I rather solidly identify with scum-thought, right or wrong - probably wrong. I felt that my theories were so completely reasonable that it kinda blew my mind that you rejected them so quickly, and my scumdar went to 11.
I considered 2 scum myself for one minute, and rejected it.
It was an interesting setup, but for my personal tastes, in a normal game, I expect the expected. This was unexpected for sure.

@DGB, I did consider others arguments but I will always state there's a difference between compromise and a door mat. When FB was lynched, I was willing to compromise to you because I thought you were scum.
I am a very much a "facts don't change, interpretations do". When you ignored my requests to do an unbiased scumputer, it made me think you were just caught scum. I did consider the possibility of a frame job, which you rejected because it wasn't your method.
If you see me 180 on a read fast, one of my assumptions was disproven, my conclusion cannot be true due to external evidence, I am a cop, or I am scum.
Scumteam played well. I don't know if I should have given town a little more power or what, but lynching the doc was kind of a death sentence.

Wow. Has anyone ever seen a 2-man scum team vs 12 town? I think the setup itself threw everyone off, in terms of numbers and the Mafia Vig and Mafia Backup Vig roles....along with the other roles, it was probably the most peculiar game I ever played.

God that was frustrating. I'm not going to talk about it because it's not going to help but damn. A lot of it was on me for being in my first full town game since I returned (prior had only been a replacement) but I'm still pissed with everything outside that. Oh well...
It's understandable. I think your death tunnel on me wasn't too keen for d1 and onward. It took all my patience and self control to keep from tunneling you on d2 after your outrageous claim (which turned out to be true). When you finally put up that weird post with the unvote, along with Drip's (turned out to be town too) entrance in the game, that was the last strange for me lol. NO hard feeling though - it was a very interesting game.
