There is no "random phase", Peers, when you can do whatever you want and no one is allowed to "seriously" vote you for it. In fact, really early in the game can be the best time to catch scum, because they think no one is paying attention.
true story. And peers, if you no that your overly defensive and it gets you lynched than why do it? Sounds like a cop out. Prolly just bad scum.

Why the panic? To me it looks like nothing more than a random Day 1 vote. I'll leave it to Erg0 to confirm or deny.

You've haven't exactly made controversial posts, and he's put one unexplained vote on you early day 1, when you probably didn't even have any other vote (I am too lazy to check).

To ask him why he voted for you, under these circumstances, looks like panic to me. Am I wrong?

Corsican Syndicate? yeh, i recall posting alot at the start of that, but i've completely lost track of it atm. Please do tell me what about my play in Mafia 71 provokes a reaction along the lines of "Fuck off BM".

TS's over-aggressiveness is noted.

My vote stands though.

I would have to say yes, you are wrong. Other people had reasons for why to vote me: Battle Mage was pretty much OMGUS, that's a reason, You voted me to see how I would react, Yosarian2 voted me because i was suposidly the most note-worthy thing on the first page because I voted Battle Mage for being extremly jumpy. So yes, I'm wondering if it's random, or if he has a reason.

For both saying nothing more then "This wagon is nice and safe and no one will notice. Actually,
Unvote
I need to see more from these two but these guys are right up there with peers. I want to vote Hasd because Mert just got her but i don't think that is a legitmate excuse to pick one over the other. We should really look at those two.

Oh Panzer, surely you know me by now? Early on I'll wagon people and do occasionally odd things to get reactions and then as Day One moves on I'll suddenly start smacking people with huge analyses of those reactions I got at the beginning.

By all means hold your suspicion of me for getting on the Peers wagon but all I can really say is "you'll see".

Why aren't Jordan, schis, and ABR getting FoSes for doing the exact same thing Panzer?

ABR and Schis provided reasons shortly after. Jordan never said anything, which is suspicious but not as suspicious as saying what you said. You said "This wagon looks good"

No, it was on Page 3, and he unvoted someone else (ABR I think, her original random vote) so he could vote Neo-Viper, so I think there might have been some reasoning behind it. Correct me if I'm wrong though Erg0

EDIT BEFORE I POST: I just noticed Erg0's previous post, which provides the reasoning of why he voted Neo-Viper.

I like how Panzer is thinking here. When talking about BM, hasdgfas specifically said that
hasdgfas wrote:As he well knows, I like reasons behind votes
But then, he voted for peers, saying
hasdgfas wrote:ok. this bandwagon seems to have more behind it than the BM one.

unvote, vote:peers
So, despite his earlier comment about "liking reasons", he didn't actually give any reason for his peers vote.

hasdgfas, could you explain why you voted for peers, exactally?
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie

I would love to give reasoning.
Peers wrote:Besides... random phase. You vote for people randomly, you let them off the hook randomly, until someone things they see a pattern in the randomness and then everyone decides if that person is right or if that person is scum.
Although this has been said, the random phase is only the first few votes of the game, and even those aren't always random. Once people have started saying something of any substance whatsoever, people start looking closely at what is said. So saying that the random phase allows you to do stuff randomly until "someone sees a pattern in the randomness" is extremely suspicious.
Peers wrote:Yeah, yeah, pile votes on the guy who tends to go hyper-defensive and get himself lynched. I've learned from my past games... I'm not over-reacting or getting hyper-defensive from now on. Maybe if the bandwagon against me had, y'know, players I knew and respected, I'd take it more seriously.
IMO, you should at least try to defend yourself somewhat rather than saying "Oh no, a bandwagon on me. I hope I don't get too defensive and have people lynch me." I don't see that as a defense. It's more of a deflection. While I do realize that ABR said:
ABR wrote: I don't like him shifting responsibility instead of providing a reasoning for his actions.
I was trying to say that he didn't even mention the other people who just jumped on the wagon for no reason and was asking what the reason for that was.
Peers wrote:
Unvote
vote: BM:

And if I need a reason, it's... um... due to frequent and recurring votehopping. Or something else that sounds similarly random yet not-random. Or whatever.
He could at least try to show that he had a good reason for jumping on the bandwagon rather than making something up that he tried to make sound good. It seemed like just jumping on the bandwagon while trying to look as unsuspicious as possible.

yes, I realize that. I'm sorry that they posted their reasons before I did. I can't just make up random reasons on the spot, and even if I did, it would make me look even more suspicious because the reasons would be crap.
