I mean, functionally this setup is follow-the-cop, except the town starts with an activated IC, masons, and the cop creates masonries instead of just getting innos

rolecop is a good start, alien is good too, but those are going to be delayed, reactive abilities to the proactive/passive abilities of the town. You can't 'alien' an activated IC away

I think the setup wasn't super bad but I think gates were reversed. The loyal neighborizor should have been even night and the mafia alien should have been ungated. That or maybe cut the IC role altogether (this would probably have been my preference)

If you're going to put a full cop [ln] and a full doctor [bab] in the setup, you either need millers or you need a full scum roleblocker; alien may be stronger than RB but it was also the only role that can do anything for scum on n2. Making it two-shot meant that it was very risky to use it carelessly early game before you had any hints of town power.

I know scum didn't lose this exclusively because of the night powers but I do think scum loses this setup more than 60% of the time probably

Less is more, especially when players are free from the paranoia and wifom of sorting multiple players.
