This post was made after the NancyDrew!Alisae interaction back in page ~21-23. Despite referring to it as TvT, I have Alisae as null on both my of readlists. The reason for that was not because I entirely town read the pair, but rather;

Neither are my current scum reads, nor has there been anything that pinged me of so in their interaction.

1) With 3 suspects already on my list, it lowers my chance of percieving it as SvT, and much less so as SvS.

2) During their interaction (and their other posts), there hasn't been anything that caught my eyes that screams that it was off or out of place.

3) Gut feeling/vibes that tells me it's TvT.

Looks like timezone differences makes a lot of difference in larger games compared to smaller ones. I've skimmed through the pages made yesterday and there hasn't been anything that really change my reads (other than prehaps reinforcing them).

You're currently the largest, also (probably) the universal town read. If I could've phrased it better, it should be {Slaxx, Dun} and {Allo, Celica} instead.

These are the ways I do reads. Maybe the methods could be better, but so far they've been working.

1) Process of elimination, there's only so many scum in the game. Roles aren't dynamic, reads are.

2) Nothing in their posts called scummy motives, unlike certain other individuals (I'll go into that later). The interaction between Celica!PB for the last few pages felt TvT, for example.

3)Gut feelings, also know as "I know how this post makes me feel but I'm not skilled enough to transmute them into words".

If there's one other pair that is significantly more competent than the rest of the group, it's plausible for it to be worth it for scum to pair with me just to remove them. Me dying is a bonus since it eliminates the possibility of me sweeping in later when it matters the most and turning the tables on them

I'd pair with Celica or Ank if I wasn't going to drag them down

If things go south, I'd accept nobody before someone I don't have at least a decent townread on

And that might be more damaging depending on who I take out with me

Just going to reiterate that I'm the 8 coin lady and matching me up with someone who can reasonably be scum is very risky

If I'm that much of a threat, the only way to save me from getting NKed is to pair me with scum, who would instalynch someone into intermission anyways

It's riskier, because not letting me get a partner at all is a lot easier to justify when I have a known 8 coins than otherwise when I'm considered generally scummy

So there would need to be a big reward to justify that risk as scum

Btw I haven't even mentioned the worst part about that situation

If I'm partnered to scum and they end first dance as soon as we are down to 14, then they just make me the conftown and kill some other pair, leaving us with 4 pairs to find 2 scum in, forcing me to suicide if we get only town on the next lynch.

It's a shitty situation to be in, which is exactly why I'm demanding a strongly town partner or none at all

PvtUrist, this is the post I was talking about yesterday. The "feel free to ask questions on my read" is what I perceive as scummy. Like, this game intimidates you, so you ask the rest of the playerlist to interact with you in order to engage yourself and look busy and townie. I've cought scum three times before doing this exact same thing, and the feeling of intimidation is always a common factor.

I do believe I've explained myself clearly enough back in #1618, but I'll have to clarify it it again.

I don't believe I can explain this better than what I quoted above. My hesitation is largely due to 2), and

exactly what I was afraid of happened when I begin to interact.

In a normal game, it'd be pushing for a lynch until either it happens or I've convinced otherwise, which isn't what happens here. The change in my "tone" or "playstyle" is largely due to this, after all you're the second player to scumread me solely based on differences in my current and previous meta.

As of catching scum 3 times based off of this, while I do agree with your line of thought, were they also in theme games where mechanics were altered from normal? With your overall tone (implying yourself that you won't be making to endgame, as well as caring to push me on your reads), I TR you based on this, but do realise that acting more conservative or intimidated does not immediately equal to scum.

This goes to mcqueen as well.
