Okay, I think I'm all caught up, but I apologize if I say something stupid. I suppose it's fairly clear now that Leonidas does have credits (though whether or not he has any left is uncertain...though I'd bet yes). Does this necessarily clear him? I tend to think so...he's probably telling the truth about his abilities, and therefore has investigative powers, and thus probably is pro-town. Of course, add enough "probably"s into a sentence, and you're not left with much at the end.

Was there something before page 8 that made SaberKitty suspicious? I don't get that bandwagon.

I like the CS part..The whole interchange certainly seems like something a mafia would plan on the night before the first day. Hey! Those bastards probably killed me!

Vote: SaberKitty

It's unlikely (in my opinion) that an entire group would miss their kill...certainly at least one of the group would get the choice sent in.
Well, I agree for the mafia, but it's certainly possible for the SK to miss a deadline.

I guess I'm confused by Electra's post. Why shouldn't we be voting SaberKitty? Because she's going away? If that's the case:

First, she's nowhere near being lynched, so accumulating votes on her is just a way of measuring how much suspicion there is for her. Second, going away si no reason to not be lynched. If it comes to it, she should be replaced. I'm all up for keeping SaberKitty in the game if possible, but there's no way we can not lynch someone who we think is mafia simply because they're away. Otherwise, it would always correct for mafia to take frequent vacations when they were highly suspected.
Thing is, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the Mafia to show us they can poison, and *then* start storing kills.
Agreed. But what does that leave us? A couple of really lucky docs? Certailny possible...but maybe there's simply rules to this game of which we're unaware. Something that plays on the wax theme?

I agree with
SK (ripped apart) and the mafia (poisoned)
and that going after idlers isn't a bad plan. Not only are they being quiet, but now we actually have reason to suspect idle players!

Consequently, I'll

You suspect Leo is lying? Enough so to vote for someone he's saying is innocent? Wouldn't it be more direct to go after Leo? Even if he's just making stuff up, there's a good chance Cadmium is innocent. (I know, I know, an innocent lurker? Unheard of!)

I agree that Jeep's absence is not too scummy.

I also think Sketch has a point about it being odd that the mafia would not try to kill someone who they knew they couldn't lynch. The one alternative in my mind is that instead they went after someone who they knew had a powerful role (i.e. if the mafia also had some kind of investigative ability), but as this person turned out to be DourGrim/Calamity Jane, a 1-shot vigilante, this does not seem to be the case.

I don't think the implication was that he was an unlynchable bad guy....just that he might have had one free save or something. Both of your explanations of why he wasn't killed last night are valid, though. I forgot we thought that Dourgrim's kill was possibly the serial killer one.

Agreed. There's something funny about almost everyone of Leo's posts, just in comparison to his usual playing style. First, he's posting in blue...he's
really
trying to sell us on this SaberKitty thing. Second, almost all of his posts are mysteriously ambiguous, even to the point of inane, almost as if it's part of his claim. Either way, I think he's being extremely careful about his wording for one reason or another.

Yeah, the more I read over those posts, the more it seems clear to me. He
does
provide a defense against every attack, but rarely in such a way that is helpful. For example:
Just ask yourselves where the mafia+SK kills went.
Why word it like that? If you have a theory or know something, why hide it? The killers already do, so why shouldn't the town? My guess is that the less information he gives out, the less susceptible he is to being caught.

People voting for Leo: Why? It seems like a lot to hope for that he's got exactly one "Ha ha, you can't lynch me option." Certainly it's possible, but is it worth the risk? Plus, of course, he could be innocent, in which case we're just using up the credits that we would rather save for investigative purposes. Why not go after someone else and let a vigilante take care of it?

Yeah, I knew this was going to happen eventually...basically because the first thing that pops up when you google for Lucrezia Borgia (which, of course, I did) is a link to www.crimelibrary.com. I
am
Lucrezia Borgia, but I'm not as evil as you all seem to think, though I definitely understand why you would think it. I do not have the ability to kill, but I
do
have poison.

I am pro-town, but I can't win unless I am married. To
get
married, I have to go away during the night, thus leaving my stock of poisons unprotected. The mafia knew I existed but not who I was. If they try to get my poison on a night when I stayed home to protect it, they don't get a kill that night. If they
do
succeed in getting the poison, they have enough for two kills, neither of which can be stopped by a doc. The first night KingPin figured that the mafia wouldn't risk losing their kill so he went husband-shopping (Note: DP never specified what will determine whether or not I'm wed, but he hinted that other roles were involved). The mafia did, in fact, go after the poison, and thus got two undoctorable kills, but Kingpin somehow satisfied the conditions to get married. He/I have been staying home protecting our stock every night since.

Of course, this role claim is a lot to swallow. The only thing that maybe could help you on your decision is MeMe's line, which I findly entirely believable:
I can't imagine DP writing a role that couldn't defend itself...
It seems quite probable to me, given the information I have about myself and some hints from other people (i.e. Cuban Smoker), that we have some pretty shady characters as pro-town, and some fairly inane or innocent ones as mafia.

On a side note, I apologize profusely for my absence. It's been quite a week and weekend for me, but I'm back in full swing now and should be participating much more actively from now on. Don't lynch me for lurking...I won't any more, and the original lurking was unintentional and imposed my work-related activities. And for god's sake, unless you want to lynch me right away, someone unvote so we don't have an accident here.

I have no idea why they've been lying low. All I know is that it has nothing to do with my role. I'm as confused as everyone else on this front (I've even mentions this befuddlement in the thread). I'm sure they have other ways of killing than poison.

Thousands turn out to mourn as it is discovered that Mother Teresa (Cadmium) did not survive the night (though this is still being overshadowed by the death of Princess Di night one), having been run through by a sword.

CAPTAIN BLICERO, You are ENYA (town)
Every night you can sing someone to sleep with your soothing voice. Your target will not be able to carry out their regular role that night and will be asleep during the day as well (no posts, no votes). Email me your choice if you want to do so.

QUAILMAN2, You are FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE (town, doctor)
Every night you can heal one player of your choice. Email me the name.

You are the MAFIA:
d8P = Margaret Thatcher (Godmother), kills by turning players to stone
Every night you send me your victim, as well as who will do the killing.
Investigators will receive role names, rather than good/bad. This gives the Godmother a fighting chance.

ELECTRA, You are Mrs. MARPLE (town, cop).
Every night you can send me a name of your choice and I will send you the corresponding role name. You have to figure out yourself if that role is good or bad.

MEME, You are JOAN OF ARC (town, vigilante)
Every night you can choose to kill someone with your sword. Email me your choice if you want to do so.

SABERKITTY/PBuG, You are ANNIE OAKLEY (town, one-shot vigilante)
Once in the course of the game you can choose to shoot someone at night. Email me your choice if you want to do so.
Note: not yet used

MITH, You are FLORENCE GRIFFITH-JOINER (town)
Your running skills will help you survive one night-attack. I will tell you when that has happened.
