I'm not a math guy but I scribbled this down on a napkin and need help

The A-excircle is tangent to the triangle ABC at only one point on line BC (by definition of excircle)
Line XY is outside the triangle (all points of a circumcircle are outside said triangle)

How do XY & BC intersect?

Lines XY and BC intersect, not segments.
